This is book nine of an alpha billionaire romance series by USA Today best selling author Sky Corgan.
Piper Gravatt thought she had a perfect life. She had just graduated from college and was about to marry the man of her dreams. Then it all went to hell.
Dark circumstances led to even darker desires, and there was only one way to bury her pain. Her new Never fall in love. Never give yourself over completely.
Life is bleak except for pleasure. And there's only one place that Piper can go to get what she needs to survive. Club Fet, where the men are hot and the acts of lust are unconventional.
Being discrete doesn't always work, though, especially when paths cross in all the wrong places. Powerful men lurk in the shadows and one, in particular, is determined to destroy everything that Piper is.
Torn by Sky Corgan was a great book. Many things havent been going Piper's way as of late. Piper enjoys diving into her dark desires at Club Fet. Little did she know her private life and Club Fet life would cross paths. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
Holden is at Club Fet; he is looking for someone new tonight, but his pensive mood is ruining his libido and he decides to leave – that is until he sees Piper walking towards the bar. Approaching her, Holden suggests they watch a scene together. The two are interrupted by the arrival of Sir Jeremy and Piper feels nervous sat between the two Doms, waiting for one of them to make a move. The fact that Holden seems indifferent about whether Piper joins him or not makes her curious and once again she finds herself back at his home for the second time that night. They both know why Piper is there and this makes Holden nervous because he wants to impress her. Holden’s dungeon has everything he needs to carry out a decent scene, and though Piper wants to submit to Holden she doesn’t concede easily. Eventually Piper is through with playing games and resisting Holden; she wants this, she wants him and will deal with any regrets later. The connection between them is undeniable. His demeanour is dominant but gentle and he has a steady confidence, actually managing to reach her limits. Afterwards there is an awkwardness; they are both too quiet. Holden experiences so many emotions, but he has made his decision – when Piper wakes up in the morning, he has to let her know that she means nothing to him. This instalment has some quite explicit sensual overtones throughout, although it doesn’t detract from the overall storyline. Once again the author has piqued the reader’s interest with Holden’s sudden change of heart, and I cannot wait to see how the story develops in the next episode. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received for a honest review. I am so loving this series. This is not a standalone so please read the books in order.
I have been having some mix feelings with Holden. I started out liking him even though he was mean to Piper. I knew his attitude was due to his love for his mother and wanting to protect her. But he really went over the line with the kidnapping. I found in this book Sky Corgan was able to help me start to warm up to him again.
At the end of book 8 we knew there was a lot of sexual tension between Piper and Holden. Holden is falling for her whether he wants to admit it or not. In this book we find them both headed to Club Fet not realizing the the other was going to be there.
I love the jealousy we see between these two and the sexual tension just increases. Reading the exchange between the two is almost funny. Piper is having feelings for him as well but is in denial about her feelings as well.
My heart is almost breaking for Holden. His mother is the only thing he has. Finding out she was dying is like ripping his heart out. He is facing reality that he will be truly alone. This is tearing him up inside. Piper can understand the pain he is going through since she suffered not only the death of her father but the death of her mother as well. The thing Piper has going for her is she has her brothers. Though she is playing the role of a single mother she is not alone.
This is a great story. I am looking forward to the next book in there series.

I Received This book for free to give my True and Honest Review
Sky is carrying on doing her usual enticing you by bringing you into their feelings and seeing Holden and Piper start to care for each other though, good how they're denying them. We see how angry they feel for the other but they just can't help themselves but join together and do what they promise that they won't ever do again, but THEY JUST CAN'T HELP but TO JOIN TOGETHER. Their sexual connection is burning that they have to do it even if they regret it in the morning, even Holden feels like he's being so unlike him as he's being so lax and wanting to feel everything that happens between them without a barrier. He wants her to stay in his bed for the night until all of a sudden he realises what he knows he can't allow to have as it'll only end like EVERYTHING ALWAYS DOES.... Oh Sky you're really making me like and feel sorry for Holden but on top of that you're wanting me to back them both together and bang their heads together. Oh I'm so looking forward for when they go to Ann's who I'm sure will see the difference between them and I can see her saying and maybe doing something to GET THEM TO ADMIT
Designation: Part 9 of a Serial, Not a Standalone, Includes Cliffhanger
So TORN 9 is a 53 page novella that picks up right where part 8 left off. Piper needs to find release after her dinner at Holden’s so she heads to Club Fet. Holden happens to have the same idea and when he sees Piper he intercepts her before she can find another Dom. Well this book actually makes some real progress between Piper and Holden, but they still don’t know what they want from each other.
I enjoyed this installment, but I really want to get to the end of the story. It is almost painful, reading in such short segments.
Another cliffhanger! As much as I love this story, I want more! I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens next between Holden and Piper.
Part Eight ends with both Holden and Piper frustrated. So, they both decide separately to go to Club Fet. Holden convinces her to watch a scene with her then to go home with him. He decides to show her his "play room". They both need a release more than anything with all the stimulation they have had that day. It's very hot and heavy and then Holden decides to bring Piper to his bed. He never has woman spend the night. He can't believe he did it and decides to sleep on the sofa. They both are falling for each other though neither will admit it. It was a great installment. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I was given a courtesy copy of this book in exchange for and honest review, and honestly... this series is enticing, sexually charged, and lust driven. Sky Corgan has written a captivating and intriguing story of two broken people searching for the impossible... love. Each book in this series keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next. And the questions... they just keep piling up as the story unfolds and you wonder what's going to happen next and if there will be a HEA.
Holden and Piper are in uncharted territory. Neither wants to admit they might be feeling things they've never felt before. Will they allow those feelings to grow and see where their relationship might go or will Holden give Piper the Heisman? It will be interesting to see which way they go.
Things are heating up between Holden and Piper? I absolutely love this series. After each part, I am very impatiently waiting for the next one, and then have to give a cheer when I get the next one. Part Nine was one of my favorite. I do not like to give too much away, but I will say that it is smoking hot. I received this part from the author in return for an honest review.

Hot, hot, hot! A sexual, tense chemistry between Holden and Piper. The two of them hate admitting even to themselves that they want each other. This one will leave you wanting more, along with screaming at Holden once again. He is frustrating as ever!
I knew where this book was going to go. But I didn't expect the turn of events that happened at his place. It's a huge twist to things. Excited for book 10.
I can't wait for the next one. These two need to let their true feelings come together and really fall in love like they should. You want to hate him but you can't.
I'm only going to write one review for all 9 parts.
I can honestly say that this entire series had me up and down like a roller coaster. The emotional distress that Holden is capable of inducing had me all over the place. I couldn't help but laugh, cry, get anger, be afraid, get emotional, get riled up, and so on. What a jacknut of enormous proportions.
Ann is the sweetest kindest woman and she finds the perfect person to work for her. Yet her son is an overbearing micromanager. I feel for them all, but wow was this series rough for me to emotionally handle. I would have done things very differently than Piper.
In the end, I'm glad things work out, but man the grudges I would have been holding on to.
**** Book gifted by the author with no intent of reviews
Piper Gravatt's life has just been turned upside down. Her mother is gone and now she has had to come back to take care of her two step-brothers as there is no one left for them. Piper holds so much resentment towards them as now she needs to start over. She is given a job by Ann Longworth to help her out whenever she needs someone around the house and to take her to appointments.
Luckily Piper has found an escape at the local BDSM, Club Fet, where she first meets him.
Holden is not the man you think he is. Underneath his cool exterior is a man bent on control and getting what he wants and right now he has one goal - to get rid of Piper. How far will Holden go to get what he wants?
Will Piper be able to save herself or will she lose everything once she realizes what is at stake?
This was such a good book and right from the beginning I bonded to Piper and her story.
Piper was such a great character as she was at such odds with herself and I found she grew up so much in this book due to her talks with Ann. Piper had so many resentments towards her brothers at the beginning of the book and I really understood why. Yet as Piper and Earl began to communicate more the two formed a strong bond and I loved reading the change.
I also really liked the relationship between Ann and Piper. Ann really needed an independent friend and as the book goes on you understand why. I loved that Piper would never take advantage of Ann, no matter what she was accused of.
I hated Holden through almost the entire book. He was such a controlling ass and I honestly was so shocked at the things that he did to Piper. I couldn't believe how far he went to try and get her to submit to what he wanted. Every time I thought he was changing he would do something that would just show how much of a jerk he really was. I did understand why he was afraid to let anyone get close to him as he was losing everyone.
I wasn't surprised by the ending and I was happy with the ways things turned out as it showed the growth with the characters. Although I definitely would have liked a little more at the end about the brothers and how they were doing!- Rebecca
