Some bonds go deeper than blood…they go to the very soul.
New Orleans detective Jane Hart is a vampire. She craves blood, has supernatural strength, and when the mood hits her just right, she can grow one killer pair of fangs. She never counted on being a vamp, but she also never counted on falling hard for werewolf alpha Aidan Locke. Now she’s mated to the wolf, and even though she’s living the undead life, Aidan refuses to leave her side.
But Jane is being watched, hunted…tested. And each deadly test that she faces puts Jane—and the people she loves—in the path of a determined killer. She has to find out who is setting her up, before it’s too late. Too late for Jane. Too late for Aidan.
He claimed her…and she obsessed him.
Because now her lover is the one who is changing. Jane’s blood has infected Aidan and the wolf that lives within him is fighting for survival. Each battle…each dark test that their enemy puts in their path…each move slides Aidan closer to the edge. A darkness is growing inside of him. A darkness that is slowly consuming the man he’s been… And leaving only the monster behind.
When blood and darkness rule, even mates can be torn apart.
In the final book of the BLOOD AND MOONLIGHT trilogy, Jane and Aidan will find out who they can really trust…and who has been waiting to destroy them all along. Are you ready for the end?

The finale for Edens Blood and Moonlight series did not disappoint. Mary Jane and Aiden continue to fight the bad paranormal while trying to delay with the changes they are experiencing with the mixing of their alpha wolf and vamp blood.
The enemy remains close and causes quite a bit of drama but through it all the two stay focused and prove that they are always better together!
"You have my soul, my heart, and every fucking bit of darkness in me.”~Aidan.
This was an awesome series, the whole 3 books had me at the edge of the seat. Loved it and devoured it.
If you're looking for a badass, kick ass heroine who doesn't take crap from no one, one who doesn't go weak and pathetic for the hero then this is the book/series/author for you.
If you want a strong powerful hero, who's devoted to his heroine, one who doesn't see anyone else but his love, A hero who's faithful and his sole purpose is to protect his love then this is the book/series/author for you.
I just can't rave enough. This author writes very good stories that will keep you interested until the very end, I can always count on her to give me a strong and powerful couple.
So overall since this is the last book in the series I'm rating it 5 amazing stars because it deserves it. At least IMO it does.
The final book in Cynthia Eden’s Blood and Moonlight trilogy, does a pretty good job of tying up all the loose ends that were hanging from the previous two books.
Jane and Aidan have gone through some massive changes since the start of the series, and this book sees them both start to work through and deal with everything that has happened to them so far.
"Together, we will always be stronger."
As you would expect the author wasn’t content to leave it a Jane being a Vampire, and the rest of the plot plays out around Aidan trying to deal with the changes that are happening to him, and his second in command Paris, whist trying to work out who the villain is.
When it came to the paranormal world, there was always more at work than met the eye.
Nobody does PNR quite like Cynthia Eden, and this was another series full of twists and turns, red herrings aplenty and lots and lots of sexy Alpha goodness. What more can you ask for!
Cynthia Eden really never fails to surprise me. The ending of this series was unexpected and I love it. Did not see that ending coming!
This book is the final chapter in the story of Aidan, the alpha of his clan and Jane Hart, the NOLA detective turned vampire. Although, in the ending of the last book, Jane and Aidan were able to be together despite her rising as a vampire, they still had much to overcome. This final book in their love story delves deeper into their lives together and reveals an enemy they never knew they had.
Very good series even if the first one was rocky for me. Recommend!
Well if you read book two, Better Off Undead, and I do highly recommend reading this trilogy in order, then you know Jane's full heritage, so to speak, has been achieved. Thankfully, Aidan and Jane have not repeated history and have established a new way of handling this, along with the changes their mating has made in both of them.
"She was something so much more. And too many people were afraid of that more." - Aidan
However, there is still an adjustment period as Jane learns how to adapt to her new life. Plus, there's the fact that some aren't happy with the "new Jane" and feel it's their privilege to get rid of her. *silly delusional idiots*
"You know how he gets. Anyone hurts you and he flips the hell out." - Paris, Aidan's first-in-command
Now it's up to Aidan and Jane to find out who is the mastermind behind this movement. Is Vincent Connor, the vampire that killed Jane so she could become what she is, to blame? Or the werewolves that can't let go of their instinctual response to her kind? Or is it a new threat? And yes, Jane having Aidan's blood numerous times before her "human death" changed her final outcome, but what's it doing to Aidan? He's changing too and no one knows what that means.
"Since when do werewolves drink blood?" - Jane
Paris, Aidan's best friend and first-in-command, is worried. He wants to protect Aidan but doesn't know how or even how to go about it. What happens when an Alpha, a wolf far stronger, deadlier, and, when needed, more vicious, than a regular wolf, keeping changing and becomes even stronger?
"And Jane isn't going to let him go into the darkness. She'd follow him into the darkness. Long before she ever surrendered him." - Annette, voodoo queen
Someone is determined to break the bond between Aidan and Jane. Can they figure out who is after them? Can they stay safe? Will their bond remain unbreakable? Will they get their forever? What is Aidan becoming? Paris is changing. Can he be saved? Will he still be Paris? Will Paris and Annette finally admit their feelings for each other? What about Jane's brother, Drew? Will he stay locked up? Or, determined to kill all the monsters, will he escape? Is Vincent really trying to help Jane as he continually insists he is?
One-click now and find out. I do highly recommend you read all three books of this trilogy in order for the full story and enjoyment of this couple and their journey. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**
Good grief, this book was exciting all the way through. The werewolves Aidan and his second in command, Paris, were turned into vampires and Jane and Annette played hell getting them to control their bloodlust. Aidan completely lost himself and was on the verge of killing Jane, the woman he had loved more than life but had forgotten. And Annette kept a magical circle of magic around Paris in an old BDSM club, a now defunct club, to keep him from attacking anyone. And then there was Lena, a djinn that Vincent had been in control of for five centuries. She was a fantastic character.
I did feel bad for Drew but I didn’t see how it could have ended any other way for him. LOL, I loved Dr. B because he was so brave and so very frightened at the same time. And Garrison, I remember him fighting with the bad guy near the end but then I don’t remember reading anything about him after that. He was very important to Aidan that’s why I wondered about it. Did he live or die?
Anyway, books 2 and 3 were the best in this series and I really hated to see them end. The only thing I really, really didn’t like about these books was the fact the NONE of the wolves could shift! Only Aidan, the alpha, could do that. All the others could grow long nails and long vicious teeth but that’s all. What’s the point of a werewolf book if no one can shift?
There were 2 or 3 explicit sex scenes in this last book, maybe 4 but I skimmed past the others after the first 2. And, as in the last book, the F-bomb was used exactly 100 times.
As to the narration: Sophie Eastlake did a great job on the voices and reads with terrific emotions. I just love her men’s voices. And that says a lot when you’re talking about a female narrator.
in all honesty ... I dissatisfied with the last installment. there's a lot thing still unanswered. like how is Garrison fate after fight with X . and where's Vivian ? I felt the last volume kind of forced to finish.
the last boss kind of expected and predictable. no surprise there. big disappointment. the disappointment including how Aidan fight the darkness inside him.
“Monsters come in all shapes and sizes,” he murmured. “You should remember that.”
Because there was always a price in this world, just as Annette had said. A price for good deeds. A price for darkness.
“No, the last thing I want…” She waited for his gaze to rise and meet hers once more. “The last thing I want is to be in this world without you.”
The third and final part with Jane & Aidan. Jane´s life has changed monumentally in just a short time, from a cop who had no idea about paranormals, to a vampire with a twist, and now their life is changing again. Can they make it through this? Aidan knows feeding Jane is doing something to him, but he´s not willing to give her up, no matter what the cost will be. When someone is gunning for their lives, can they strike back before it´s too late? PNR romance, action, suspense and smutty fluff, and an awesome conclusion to this series <3 Disclaimer; I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Great ending to a great series! And can I say how much I loved the way the big, bad guy was defeated? (No spoiler there, since everyone knows the bad guy is always defeated in the end of any romance book or series, right? But how it happened in this book was a nice surprise.)
What happened to Garrison!!!! He was there fighting and then???? This book was a five star read until that. Way to go just dropping a mainish characters fate! He was there for all three books I really wish that loose end was tied up.
This was a seriously captivating, and not to mention, a fanfreakintastic wild tale that was so well written. I am so glad that I was approved via Netgalley for book # 1 in the series. Buying and preordering the remaining installments in the series was no-brainer...
Tears in my eyes. Smiles on my face. I just love it all. Although the amount of sex happening at inappropriate time was ridiculous, I was totally loving it. HOT DAMN!! this couple was freaking HOT!
A great conclusion to a darned good trilogy. This series isn't my favorite one of this author's, but a nice, entertaining and romantic read. Worth the read, definitely. And of course, I did see the bad guy a long way off. But still awesome.
I think I got a bit fedup by the time this book rolled around. I don't know why the changes that came about didn't sit well with me. naïveté is always the downfall.
Jane living the undead life is a sense of endless worry, not only for alpha lover, Aiden, his pack, her brother, voodoo queen, Annette, and certain elements of the vampire world. Aiden’s second, Parris and Annette are concerned that both Jane and Aiden are turning into something not meant to be. Neither Drew nor Vincent have lost sight of their individual goals as Vincent’s witch, Lena comes to town.
With so many suspects, it’s hard to figure out who’s watching Jane, it’s evident someone put a lot of thought into a bloody ambush for her and they had to know Aiden wouldn’t be far behind. The only questions are who’s behind the latest insidious plot to separate the species crossed lovers and who’s end will Jane actually bring. Rating:4.stars
The end of the series...What to expect? Ok...This wasn't what I expected. Lots of twists and turns. Was it the end of werewolves? Or the vampires? Who is the one who is trying to end them All? This was an awesome series! I usually don't buy a series unless it Really grips my attention. This WAS the real thing. Amazing author. Starting the next series now to see if it was a one off, or if Cynthia Eden is my next author of choice? I will know soon enough. Thank you for reading my review, and if you read paranormal romances, where the two mates are absolutely made for each other, then you really need to pick up this series. God Bless.
This is the final book the Blood and Moonlight series. Jane and Aidan find out who the traitor was in their midst and with the help of Garrison, Dr. Heider, Annette and Paris, he is stopped. A great read , filled with suspense, murder, betrayal, action, blood (so much blood, Lol) and a love that is stronger than the poison coursing through their veins, Jane and Aidan are able to finally move on with their lives. 4 stars!
In the previous books, werewolf alpha Aiden Locke, and born vampire, Mary Jane Hart, face off against their destiny as enemies. In this book, their destiny and sworn enemies take them to task. But they refuse to give each other up, no matter the cost. Even if it's their own lives. This is a great ending to the trilogy.
So it was good but i spent so much time in this serie that i'm glad it's over. The story itself was good but like the other books in the serie the end is rushed like crazy! After 3 books i think we deserved an epilogue. The intringue was good but messy... Overall it's a nice serie but i've read much better from this author.
Jeeezzzz, The action just kept on going!! Seriously, there wasn’t a single moment of peace and quiet in this book, and I loved every second of it! Fast paced, lots of suspense, romance and steam. Great series, great H and wonderful h. What are you doing?? Read it now!
