Get Me To The Church On Time: An uplifting romantic comedy

Rate this book
The Pinkerton brothers may look alike but the similarity ends there. While Matt is planning his lavish wedding to his model fiancée, James has vowed to have nothing to do with women ever again. So, when Great Aunt Milly dies and leaves her one-million pound share portfolio to whichever of the boys first marries and has a child, it's assumed the fortune will go to Matt. But add to the mix a sex-mad German, a gorgeous photographer, a matchmaking mother, and one very pampered pooch, and things don't run quite as smoothly as Matt would like ...

Alice Ross

Alice Ross used to work in the financial services industry where she wrote riveting, enthralling brochures about pensions and ISAs that everyone read avidly and no one ever put straight into the bin.

One day, when nobody was looking, she managed to escape. Dragging her personal chef (aka her husband) along with her, she headed to Spain, where she began writing witty, sexy, romps designed to amuse slightly more than pension brochures.

Missing Blighty (including the weather - but don't tell anyone), she returned five years later.

When not writing, she can be found scratching a tune on her violin, sweating on a spin bike, or upside down in a yoga pose.

When Great Aunt Millie dies she leaves an odd legacy to her nephews, the Pinkerton twins, Matt and james. The two couldn't be more different. Matt is a high flyer and planning his lavish wedding to his model fiancée. James is a Vet and has sworn off women for good after his girlfriend died of cancer.

Great Aunt Milly has left her one-million pound share portfolio to whichever of the boys first marries and has a child. Everyone thinks that Matt will inherit the fortune but things quite don't quite go the way he wants.

This is an easy and fun read although some what predictable. That said I enjoyed it very much. Sometimes you just need a good bit of chick lit!

Wacky around but good

I can't describe it other than wacky . I couldn't put it down. Fast paced and unpredictable, can't wait to read more from this author

It's okay

It wasn't a bad story, but this shy guy who gets the girl, and the over confident one who gets hurt and dumped is getting a bit boring to be honest.
