On a rainy night in 1971 the cruise ship Crescent Star vanished in the North Atlantic without a trace. No crew, no lifeboats and no wreckage was ever found, in spite of a three-week search.
Two days ago, she crashed through and sank a pleasure yacht off the coast of New York, leaving five people dead. The ship has answered no hails and no one appears to be aboard. Agent Raven Storm and a forensic team lead by Aspen Kincaid have been tasked to investigate and bring the ship in, if possible.
What happened to 720 crew and passengers and where has the ship been for 44 years?
Clue by macabre clue, Raven uncovers the truth of the Crescent Star and faces a villain from beyond the grave.
But how can she stop something she can’t see, can’t touch, and that won’t hesitate to use the ones she loves against her?

This series must be read in order. The first book is Stormrise or the newly released Stormrise Special Edition. The second book is Stormrage. The third book is Stormwind. The fourth book is Shadowstorm. The fifth book is Raven. This is the sixth book. I can't wait to read Aspen!
Raven is benched. Traumatized. Off her game even. Finding out she has a twin sister and that her father is still alive would have been traumatic enough... If she had found out some other way... Some other day. Noons blames her for what happened... Except herself. Cleaning out a nest of skinwalkers is NOT the time for a reunion with your dead father and an unknown identical twin. So... She shot her father... Through the heart. Luckily he is Immortal and will survive. Now she is buried in guilt and can't even shoot a gun. Will she ever get over what she thinks she did? Is she a bad daughter? Why did he let her keep thinking he was dead? Why was she never told she had a twin? Can she reconcile this new reality enough to wrap her head around the truth? Or has she failed herself, her family, and everyone she loves?
Aspen is worried about Raven. All she can do is be there. Getting promoted to actual field work seems odd without her ... But she still has to do her job. If King says she is the only one qualified how can she say no? Can she lead a team of agents? What will she find on the Ghost Ship? Is King's faith in her misplaced? Can she solve the mystery and bring her team out alive? Will Raven forgive her for going into danger without her?
***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy dark urban paranormal fantasy with an incredible snarky heroine who never gives up or gives in when pursuing justice in all forms and filled with action, adventure, mystery, intrigue, suspense, thrills and a dash of romance and plenty of horror laced with humor :)
Loved it. Aspen and Raven's little "argument" on the ship was kinda cute.
But what I loved was how elements from staples in horror, as well as one of the most effective movies I've seen, are taken and expanded to limits where they work and don't fall apart at the end, aren't too ambitious.
This series just keeps getting better and adding more and more to its in-world mythos.
Skye has done it again. I loved this book. With the introduction of Sable, Raven's twin was great. Loved getting to know Sable and seeing her interaction with Rupert and her family. The continuing love story between Raven and Aspen was great. Really enjoyed the parts that made Raven appear not so indestructible and more human. I cannot wait for what is next.
This story was amazing. I liked that Aspen got to do some field work and that she was out without Raven for a while. I like that we had multiple storylines going at the same time that all related back together and we got to see different sides of our characters. I can't wait to see where the story goes next.
