MJ Blehart has been writing stories in the genres of high fantasy and sci-fi/space opera throughout his life, the first when he was nine years old. Over the years the scope of his writing has expanded, adding a variety of genres and styles.

MJ has been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (the SCA, a medieval re-enactment society) for over thirty years. In the SCA he is known as Malcolm Bowman, and practices 16th-century rapier combat (he is also an instructor in this), court heraldry, archery, and more.

MJ likes to think he is funny and has been known to pun and make snarky comments. Once, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a random stranger came up to him, offered to shake his hand, and then told him, "I just had to say...you're an odd-looking fellow."

MJ blogs regularly about mindfulness and conscious reality creation. He lives with his wife and three cats in south New Jersey.
