When the peace between norms and perceivers breaks down, Michael takes his fight to the heart of power in this thrilling novel about young people with special powers. Hiding the truth about his ability to read minds and move objects with his thoughts, Michael resists Pauline’s plea to help save the perceivers. But when the hatred of normal people hits close to home, he’s forced to take action. Battling betrayal, rogue military forces and murder, Michael uncovers a conspiracy hidden within the walls of Parliament. Faced with the shocking truth, he joins forces with Pauline to stop the destruction of his perceiver friends and change the world forever. Full of action, intrigue and adventure, Mind Power is the exciting conclusion to the Perceivers series. An unmissable read.
I really enjoyed the book but didn't love the ending. I felt like it was a bit unsatisfactory and I wondered if there was another YET it was an ending. The series was fun to read definitely
I really enjoyed this series. The characters were well developed and varied. There were many twists and turns that kept you reading and looking forward to the next book. I will read more by this author.
It has been some time since Michael left the perciever corp. Although his powers have returned, his desire to work for the English government has not. When a mysterious woman shows up in Inspector Patterson's office, asking for the head of the percievers, Michael finds himself once again thrust into the tumultuous world of the Perciever Corp, only this time, it's a matter of life or death. Thanks in part to meedling reporter Sian Jones, the public has found out that percievers have been secretly working for the government, and they want justice. When Prime Minister Pankhurst reinstates the mandatory cure for all percievers in England, can Michael and his friends make it out with their sanity and their lives?
Jane Killick's final Perciever book does not disappoint. It was full of enough twists and turns that I could not guess the ending, which is a quality that I love in a book. I particularly liked the fact that Otis makes a surprise appearance in this book (it's good to know he made it out without the cure!). Coming back to Michael, Pauline, and even Agent Cooper are like coming home to old friends, her style of writing is well-done, and her characters are well thought out and familiar. I will be glad to continue reading Ms. Killick's books - whether about the Perciever Corp, or not!
I received this book free in return for an honest review. This is the fourth and final book in the perceivers series, and I started to read the book with sadness because it felt like I was losing a good friend. Michael’s life is once again unsettled; between Agent Cooper and the government, he thought he’d finally found his place in life but it wasn’t to be. Michael’s chance at living a normal life comes to an end when the uprising against the perceivers comes into action once more. Michael uses his powers to save his friends but can he save them from the cure? Michael’s character has grown up and he is no longer the shy boy he was, although he is still awkward around girls. Michael uses his friend’s connections and abilities to put a conclusion on the perceiver crisis, and although I was sad to see it finish, it couldn’t have ended better. What a fantastic finale.
What can you do when you suddenly come back full circle into the world you thought was suppose to be better. On top of it the accusations fly and guess what....you the prime public figure they're hunting. Not the way you had planned to spend your time. Between the complete hatred and fear from others and the attempts to kill them all there has to be a way. Is there? Can people except something they fear more than the truth....themselves. The past is also knocking on the door. Awesome read in the next installment in the Perceiver's Series and I for one can not wait to read what happens next. Action, danger and twists you don't see coming. Highly recommended series. **Review Copy for honest review from Jane Killick.
