Tom and Lela are in for the battle of their lives as the stakes are raised in their second action packed adventure in 'The Empire Series'.
With their parents imprisoned in Africa for mass murder, Tom and Lela not only have to save their parents but also the family business.
With just about everybody doubting the Kennedys innocence it is left to Tom, Lela and a few well connected friends to uncover the truth and save the day.
Although it seems on this occasion Tom and Lela are up against a much deadlier foe...
If you thought the first one was great, this one surpasses it by a metric mile. The assassinations are what set this book on top. Because of them, the storyline has more depth and is more intricate. Five stars on Goodreads means it's amazing, and this book is more then that. The action is ever so present, and never, not at one point, does it let up. The only downside to this series is the wait for the next book(s).
A thriller with many twists and turns. The involvement of the islanders and their "take no prisoners" mind set makes the action much more intense. Looking forward to the next book.
This is a great book too, but I didn't like it as much as kidnap. I liked the whole book but the ending was the best part. did not see it coming. I read the whole book In one day; I just could not put it down! Love this these books.
When I started reading this series they are very reminiscent of The Hardy Boys books of long ago. Excellently written and will keep you reading to the very end. I highly recommend this series for younger readers as well as older ones. Enjoy.
Okay this story featuring Tom, Lela, Saki, Donald and Rachel had me going. The mastermind, Mr Chairman was a complete surprise then the story ends! How horrible! Now I have to wait to see if Mr Chairman gets his goosed cooked! Good action and great characters.
This sequel keeps the action going full steam with even more twists to the plot. These kids persevere against all odds to save their families...and the world! Great young adult series with plenty of enjoyment for older readers too!
Same characters and action that is. This second in a series continues the trials and tribulations for the Donald Kennedy family. More intrigue. More of nearly unbelievably smart youngsters. And more world-hopping advevture. You gotta read this book.
This book definitely didn't let me me down and I am very happy that I took the time to read it. The reason for 4 stars was the distracting grammatical errors.
