At only 24 she has accomplished a lot but she's nowhere near done with her list of goals. For her writing is so much more than just telling a story. The best way to sum up Kellz Kimberly is 'She Writes, She Grinds, She Slays"

Wow

Great read! I was for sure Trench was the one trying to back stab Karma but, the entire time it was Smitty. I hate to see what Karma will do to Smitty once the truth unfolds. I am left wondering if Red was trying to tell Karma, Trench was being set up. Karma was given the right name because, that is exactly what, he's going to make sure happens to Smitty and Cameilla.

He got me in my feelings

Although I love Karma and Royce together. Royce is spoiled and selfish. She wants everything her way or no way. Karma is just now learning what love is. And how to open himself up to love. I don't know what made Trench switch. Callie is just low down. And Smitty and Camilla need to meet the same Karma Trench did.

Kellz never disappoints. This book was good from the beginning to the end. Poor Royce!! I know Callie has something to do with what went down too. I can feel it in my heart. Now Im confused though. Did Trench really kill Red or was Smitty lying saying that he wasn't there.

This author had me definitely vibing with the Jay Z throwbacks.

You couldn’t tell me I wasn't at The Cracked Mug, screaming my head off at Karma & Butta's performance! Now, that was an apology for you!!

"If you go to heaven and they bring me to hell, just sneak out and meet me, bring a box of L’s. They ain’t see potential in me girl, but you see it. If it’s me and you against the world, then so be it.”

My oh my the snakes 🐍 were loose in that concrete jungle.

🤔 I've never met a trustworthy Smitty. Have you?

Anyways, Smitty told no lies when he said Karma was so busy falling in love he was slipping. He allowed a viper right into his inner sanctum.

Cause Baby Callie rotten coochie self is a goldigging, trash a$$ snake, and garbage friend. Not sure what that says about Trench, but like recognized like.

In hindsight, Trench was flashy and wanted to be someone, but now I am not convinced he was the opp.

RIP 🙏🏾 RED. Here's hoping he is not dead. I think he was so focused on Karma's team when he should've been focused on his.

Didn’t see much of a relationship between the two and the little we did get was bland at the most. The further into the read the more Royce became annoying. Add in all the lyrics to songs and it seems like this book is cut in half and the song artist should be getting a cut for putting in on the book. The ending had a twist with it but seeing that you don’t get much from Karma, Trench or Smitty to know how they move or the level their on in the streets it all seems petty.

I figured she was dirty from the beginning but the way they got into it seemed out of place. Plus she said, “…tell you some lies to make you feel better.(Kindle Location 2629). That doesn’t make sense for her to say unless she was just trying to hurt Royce. That simple argument blew up out of left field so it just seemed forced to add to the story. I had to read that part twice because I thought maybe it was a dream or something. Either way, off the ending I’d read the next one just to see what’s going to happen.

I think that the author really captured the emotional aspects of life and relationships in this book, as well as the risky decisions that a person can make while involved in romantic relationships with someone that lives a different lifestyle from them. I liked the fact that the author connected all of the characters in some way. I immediately started Part 2 after reading this one!

Hmmmm, very interesting…

I definitely didn’t see the end of book 1 playing out like that. A nice little surprise there. As for Royce, she’s getting on my nerves, I’m about sick of her and all of that crying.

All I can say is WOW!!! This ending I didn't see coming AT ALL!!!! This story is centered around Karma and Royce aka Butta. Of course you have the requisite characters Callie, Trench, Smitty, Red, Addison, and Cameilla to help round our this very simple but oh so complicated story line. With the opening sequence we automatically see that Royce's heart has been damaged and she unknowingly gave her love to a boy that was anything but deserving. What really struck me were the questions that her mother asked her and I must say they are questions that every young woman should hear at some point in their lives to help to determine if the man they are with is capable or even worthy of protecting and nurturing their heart. Royce's other half, Karma was just as damaged as she was. He was abandoned by his mother and never had the familial ties or bonds outside of the relationship he established with his mentor Red at the age of 15. His only focus from that point on was making money. If it wasn't about money then in his limited world view it wasn't important because the true testament to happiness was the almighty dollar bill. These two injured souls gravitated to one another clearly seeing the broken pieces, severs, and cracks that were barely hanging together with the duct tape that they each precariously applied to make it from one day to the next. There chemistry was electric and was instantaneous. While I enjoyed their relationship this is also one of the things that was a problem for me. Because Royce had been so severely broken by her ex boyfriend it just wasn't all the way believable that she was so open and unguarded to almost IMMEDIATELY begin a relationship with Karma. As her mother said in the storyline I think that while she may have had strong feelings for Karma she herself wasn't whole enough to enter into a relationship with someone else. Karma on the other hand had never experienced the love of a female. While his moves added up to someone that had never been in love, his words didn't. One of the hardest things for a person to do that has never experienced love before is to profess their feelings to someone else. This wasn't the case for Karma. He readily and almost eagerly told Royce that he loved her quite early on in their relationship. Callie always seemed suspect to me. Her movements put me in the mind of a snake and her behavior was quite scandalous. To think that she thought that moving from one crew member to the next wouldn't have her looking like THOT of the year was completely beyond me. Then her actions towards the one person that had always been in her corner was downright deplorable. Overall this was a good read. This isn't the best that Ms. Kellz Kimberly has to offer but it still was head and shoulders above many of her contemporaries. I am fully vested in seeing what is in store for Ms. Royce and Mr. Karma. Good Job Ms. Kellz. My expectations are extremely HIGH because you have given me the very best of you in your other story lines I wait anxiously with bated breath to see what the outcome is going to be with this intricate cast of characters that you've introduced us to.

Shady

This story was good and grimmy. Kellz did not disappoint me at all. I was not looking forward to the ending but I'm waiting for part 2. This was a true thug and innocent girl love story. I'm sure part 2 will change everything. Karma had my heart from the beginning. The love he had for Royce was so genuine and true. I guess it's true a thug can change with the help of love. There's parts in the book that made me really think about love. One particular part was when Red was spitting some real stuff to Karma and his grimmy friend. That conversation was the truth. Money ain't everything....love overpower money. Read and you will definitely fall in love.

Satisfied Reader

This book showed so much betrayal. The ones who you call your friends are the ones you need to watch. Royce was a bright girl even tho she fell for someone so different from her. It really showed that opposites really attract. Karma fell in love with Royce. And that's when all jealousy surfaced. Callie was not the friend Royce thought she was. I didn't like the way she slept with friends and though it was cool. And she showed her true colors by admitting her betrayal. Trench was on some sneaky stuff. Smitty and Camellia are playing a dangerous game. I hope Karma catch on. Great Job

This read is a love story laced with jealousy & betrayal. Good girl Royce finds herself entering one relationship with bad boy Karma, soon after leaving her previous one. The supporting characters were something else, and this author included some shockers which I anticipate will be expanded on in part II, in addition to a continuation of Royce & Karma's relationship. While the story itself was entertaining, the author also dropped some "jewels" courtesy of Royce's mother, which I found myself highlighting and sending screenshots to friends.

Another Banger

Of course is book had me from page one and I couldn't put it down because I had to know what happened next. Karma is a boss in his own way. Royce was put through so much in such a short period of time that it is surprising she didn't lose it. I am so glad Callie was exposed for what she truly is. She rubbed me the wrong way the entire book. I can't wait to see what happens with Karma, Royce, Smitty and Callie and book 2.

Good storyline though I could've done without the cliffhanger. I found the book engaging but it felt like the author just wrote the story and published without any thought to doing another pass for typos. Little niggling things like "wall street" vs "Wall Street" and misusing words. At one point in the book, there's a clear error where the passage is written as the male when it's supposed to be the female. It took me out of the story many times.

Karma

I loved Karma. He had his ways of showing everybody love and he show them all the same respect. I hate that people who has been down for him since the beginning are snakes. I know that broke him down having to kill his best friend and now his other best friend is after his throne. I loved the relationship he and Red had, that was guide in life. Royce is his balance and they are gone make moves together they're going to come out on top.

Ok read

The book was a decent storyline I just hate that as these authors use such young characters. These people are barely out if high school & running cities & empires. I know it's fiction but is this all our youth is thinking about, being bosses of the streets. & why is it that it's always an educated girl that ends up with the roughest one in the bunch. Makes the ladies think this is all we're destined to attract.

This book definitely took a turn I didn't expect that ending but it was good...That Damon Smitty is a little grimy dude never would've seen that coming,I hope Karma grasp all this before things take a wrong turn for he and Royce, that Callie ended up being trifling asf you really can't trust your so call friends...

This is another great read by this author. She never disappoints. She definitely had me in my feelings with this one. The entire storyline had me like wow. Royce and Karma are made for each other. And that ending really threw me for a loop. I can't wait until part 2 drops.
