This book is a collection of protocols, nutritional interventions, supplement recommendations, meditation techniques and breathing exercises shown to enhance the function of the vagus nerve in order to improve overall wellness and to enhance one's ability to cope with stress. The tools addressed in this book are affordable, natural and can be done at home.
Useful book read in conjunction with personal research I was conducting to do with the vagus nerve and viral illnesses such as CFS and fibromylagia (since blogged about on www.living-whole). Helped me to structure what I know about this fascinating nerve as well as to gather useful info about how to tone and heal it. This is easy practical advice that I would recommend to anyone, not just those looking to solve a problem (really, we should all be more aware of this important nerve which is so important to overall wellbeing).
Short, concise & filled with valuable information. This book is well worth the price & the time it takes to read it. I read the kindle version during my lunch. The information presented is easy to understand & easy to apply. If the detailed exercise and nutrition advice is followed and applied correctly & consistently it should help readers improve their health, specifically the health of Cranial Nerve #10, The Vagus Nerve.
Great for anyone that doesn't know much about the Vagus nerve!
Especially good for those suffering from PTSD! Extremely easy to understand and not overly technical. I definitely recommend this book. I am a psychotherapist.
I thought it was pretty concise and provided a wealth of tips, tricks and supplements to fire up the vagus nerve. Disagree with the diet recommendations however as meat does nothing for the vagus nerve. Stick to a plant based diet please hence I’ve docked a star.
The book is too short and not really informative. Couldn't find a single piece of data that was really new. Would look for other books on this subject. Sorry. Sigh
Very simple and to the point. Explains what the vagal nerve in a functional way for your day-to-day life right away. Then lists the activities, foods, and supplements that help the nerve/increase the ability to be calm. Also lists the foods to avoid (which are pretty common and only additional support quitting certain things like packaged food, refined sugars or others). There was another book I bought 3x longer that didn't connect them as functionally/action-focused, so I appreciate this book because it did.
