I was sent this box set to read in exchange for a fair and honest review. One of the BEST deals of my reading life. This is in my favourite genre so I was so HAPPY to get stuck in to the books. So far I've managed five from authors I hadn't read before so i could get a BETTER PERSPECTIVE of the overall value. FABULOUS. Individually there would have been 4/5 FIVE STAR ratings on what I've completed. This box set just can't be missed for the sake of 99c or 65p UK money . LESS THEN 5c per book is jaw dropping believe me. A TRUELY GREAT BARGAIN FELLOW READERS .
Give me hot vampires any day of the week. There were so many to choose from in this boxset it was almost too good! From suspenseful, to full-on naughtiness - I have been reading late into the night all week. I honestly can't believe it's selling for $0.99! What a bargain. Get it while you can, that's all I can say.
This is a great set. A perfect blend of paranormal/urban fantasy, one ranging in authors and great books from K. De Long's Reaper which is a fantastic story about undead assassins to Catherine Stine's Witch of the Cards about a Sea Witch named Fiera who has someone that doesnt want her to come into her powers and her love Peter it has murder and intrigue, Terry Spear's Forbidden Love was a great one about a Huntress named Alena/Elizabeth who has to get rid of a vampire Ephraim/Sutton who just happens to be her lover from a past life, them teaming up, and falling in love again, to try to stop a war from breaking out. JC Andrijeski's Rook was just out of this world fantastic. I cant wait to read the rest of this set
A strong collection of sexy paranormal full length stories. As varied as the authors who wrote them. My favorite was by Sarah Makela but each reader will find a story to call their favorite.
For those of you who are enthralled with the supernatural this is a must read book.J.E.Taylor packed action and intrigue into this book from start to finish. With a combination of vampires, angels and demons along with her fabulous writing skills she has a series hit on her hands! What starts off as a simple bartering of souls ends up being a rejuvination of a life that began thousands of years before.I'm loving J.E.Taylor's books and I'm eager to explore her other works!!
A Box set of 21 paranormal stories: I shall review in sets. Here are the first stories.
Beneath the Broken Moon
Earth after the moon disintegrates and falls on Earth causing an apocalyptic breakdown in society. Paranormals are no longer hidden BUT they are still hunted and outsiders.
A werewolf female, in her prime cub-bearing years is shot by the hunters and rescued by an ancient vampire, a member of their High Council. Vampires and Werewolves are just as much enemies of each other as humans are to all paranormals. But act under a Truce.
Carmela is promised to Brendan a fellow werewolf and so a love triangle forms. And she also has a violent and abusive father.

Close Liaisions Yes Vampires ARE ETs and YES, the Greek Gods were ETS and Vampires! Clearly written by a committed vegan/vegetarian some lovely food is recommended aand explained how it made you fitter and healthier. Only issue being the general llcack of protein included. Even Veggies need this… And the ETs are very environmentally conscious too. And eggs are expensive, but if they are so expensive, why aren’t people keeping chickens like they did in the UK during WW”? they just need a small patch of soil to roam, table scraps, and some bought in feed for laying. Must be cheaper.
But don’t give them avocado, potato plant leaves and rhubarb. And some people don’t recommend kitchen scraps at all – 3 chickens-in-shade-of-house Taken by the Beast Werewolfs as they are not – Conduits and magic blood – the Beast and his Love. Some different imagination on the traditional fairy story as to how the princess loves the Beast.
3.5 Night Hawk A vampire who can morph into a very large hawk and descendants of the Archangel Michael. He vampires drink the blood of animals as the blood of humans becomes addictive. And yes, Michael fell in love with a human and a child! – oops – and then, guess what, Lucifer would like the child’s descendants for his collection.
So what happens when a descendant of Michael with their angel blood becomes a vampire?
3.5 Rook Allie’s War book1
There are humans and non-humans and Allie who always thought she was human, until one day a man stalked her and dragged her away. And her life changed forever. Several groups of humans and non-humans start to look for and the stress her life causes Allie to come into her powers and she finds she can use telekenesis.
I found the style too confusing for me and I didn’t complete it. 2
The Lost Queen In deepest rural Illinois there is a very small airport. Run and owned by Nadya’s father, she works there as she doesn’t have much choice in that town. A mysterious man comes and goes and piques her curiosity. And then there are the rumours that her dead mother was a witch. Nadya has been playing up to this image herself with her clothes and appearance.
But appearances are deceptive and we find that some who appear human are, and that perhaps she is not either.
(will be adding an overall review once all the books in this collection have been read)
When I started I didn’t know this would be a vampire story. Had I known I might have declined reading it, but Night Hawk turned out to be a quick and easy read that kept me entertained, if not enthralled. Quick, because I read it in two hours, and easy, because it flows nicely chapter to chapter.
There’s some interesting chemistry between Naomi (new vampire on the block) and Damian (an old hand at this stuff) and there’s an intriguing plot that drives the story, particularly the persona and judgements of Archangel Michael, the terrible greed of Lucifer himself, as well as the alternate forms both Naomi and Damian are able to assume in the darkness. However, I felt Night Hawk sort of began in the middle of a conversation no one knows about. And the turning of Naomi isn’t quite believable. It lacks depth and one doesn’t quite feel empathy for the main characters.
This collection is an absolute bargain and a great way of getting into the genre and the authors.
This is a review of Rook (Allie's War Book One) by JC Andrijeski
This book is the start of an epic series that has it all - drama, intrigue, sexual chemistry (lots of it), and the fight between good and evil, right from wrong. It's starts in the modern world but it quickly moves to a more metaphysical world centring around an upcoming apocalypse. You might have seen reviews saying they didn't get on with this, but if you feel that way please read further so you get to understand the setting, the characters and the story better (they do take time to set up and explain) - I guarantee you will then become addicted to the entire series and not be able to put them down - I certainly couldn't.
I am now looking forward to reading the rest of this collection so I can discover more authors/series
Sarah Makela – Beneath the Broken Moon Anna Zaires – Close Liaisons Kressley & Hamilton – Taken by the Beast J.E. Taylor – Night Hawk JC Andrijeski – Rook Angel Lawson – The Lost Queen Noree Cosper – A Prescription for Delirium K. de Long – Reaper Susan Stec – Purgatory Terry Spear – Forbidden Love Jacqueline Sweet – The Wolf, the Witch, and the Wasteland Lisa Carlisle – Knights of Stone: Mason Eden Ashe – Hunter Undone LJ Swallow – Soul Ties Amber Ella Monroe – Wolf in Exile Laxmi Hariharan – The Many Lives of Ruby Iyer Joanne Wadsworth – Highlander’s Kiss CJ Flynn – The Watcher’s Daughter Skyla Madi – Dark Wings C.P. Mandara – Desiring Death Catherine Stine – Witch of the Cards
This was a great collection of stories by a group of well rounded authors. If I had to pick some favorites I think they would be Beneath the Broken Moon by Sarah Makela, Taken by the beast by Conner Kressley and Rebecca Hamilton and The Lost Queen: The Portal by Angel Lawson. All the stories had a different cast of characters some who I grew to love and want to see again and others I didn't care for. These stories will leave you hopeful, sad, annoyed and everything in between. This book set was a great way to be exposed to a number of different authors at one time for a low cost without having to buy all their books.
Get ready for an all-nighter! 21 Shades of Night is everything paranormal romance readers would "die" for! Sexy, exciting and dream worthy! Who wouldn't love to get beneath the veneer of a tall, dark, handsome vampire? There's so much more in this bumper boxset that one story isn't enough for one sitting. I don't have the time to pull an all-nighter but I do know one thing for sure - I'm going to finish them all!
I just finished reading the first of the 21 books and all I can say is wow. I wasn't sure I would like it as I began reading but I really enjoyed the Characters all except William of course. But it was a powerful novel if you compare it to what is happening in the US currently between races. I couldn't help but think about that as I read about the feud among the werewolves and vampires and how the catazors a type of police were killing them. The ending gave me hope for all of us.
Wow! I was so excited when this bundle of joy finally arrived. I had preordered what seemed like forever ago. This is such a steal for the price. And what a great bunch of authors! They aren't ametuers that's for sure. Some were new to me and I don't know how I ever missed finding them. I will be watching for all of them to release new books in the future. That's how good these were.
This collection of novels was heart warming and sometimes heart breaking. A must read for all paranormal lovers. This collection really has a little of everything.
Anna Zaires – Close Liaisons - 3.5 Stars Aliens have taken over the planet! Well not entirely they are merely coexisting with the humans. However, being human there is the ideology that they are intruders and so of course a resistance is formed. That's where Mia comes in when she catches the eye of Korum and things just spiral out of control.
I thought Mia was a little too wishy washy in her attitude towards Korum. Ok so this huge alien race that the humans barely know anything about is here and now one of them is stalking her and wants to have sex with her. That certainly seems like a lot to take it. I got exasperated by the fact that whenever Korum kissed Mia all thoughts of disliking him (especially since she was thinking she was a slave) just flew out the window. There was a lack of communication and understanding between them that I would seriously have needed if I was in Mia's shoes.
Kressley & Hamilton – Taken by the Beast J.E. Taylor – Night Hawk JC Andrijeski – Rook Angel Lawson – The Lost Queen Noree Cosper – A Prescription for Delirium K. de Long – Reaper Susan Stec – Purgatory Terry Spear – Forbidden Love Jacqueline Sweet – The Wolf, the Witch, and the Wasteland Lisa Carlisle – Knights of Stone: Mason Eden Ashe – Hunter Undone LJ Swallow – Soul Ties Amber Ella Monroe – Wolf in Exile Laxmi Hariharan – The Many Lives of Ruby Iyer Joanne Wadsworth – Highlander’s Kiss CJ Flynn – The Watcher’s Daughter Skyla Madi – Dark Wings C.P.
