Wow che botta!!!
Mrs Sable riesce sempre a stordirmi con un evento assolutamente imprevedibile che ribalta tutto!!!
che Ian fosse in difficoltà era chiaro, ma cosa è venuto fuori!!!
Ho ricevuto un ARC per recensire ed eccola qua:
il libro è scritto talmente bene che anche io che sono italiana riesco a capire perfettamente ciò che accade e ciò che provano i protagonisti...
Mi piace che Ian sia sempre Ian nonostante tutto... ma per la sua donna tiri fuoir il lato che nessuno conosce...
come anche nel primo libro Ian è riuscito a deludermi e farmi infuriare nel momento in cui "relaziona" ad Olivia sulla natura e sui dettagli del lavoro che lo ha portato in quella situazione.
Mi ribolliva il sangue e anche qui stavo per gettare la spugna... Ma Miss Sable è riuscita anche in questo caso a sacavare a fondo della psiche di chi ama...
le persone possono sbagliare, ma quando a fatti cercano di redimersi possono essere perdonate...
non sono riuscita a leggere la parte relativa all'incontro tra Olivia e Steph .. sono onesta, forse per il periodo particolare che stò vivendo ho dovuto saltare quasi completamente tutto lo svolgimento di quella scena salvo le frasi per capire a grandi linee cosa succede...
come al solito, spero di leggere meglio di Xander e Tamara... e sono intrigatissima da Matt.... vedremo...

Ian was in trouble it was clear, but what came out !!!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review:
the book is written so well that even an italian like me can perfectly understand what is happening and what the protagonists feels ...
I like that Ian is always Ian in spite of everything ... but what I love more, is that,for his woman , he throws out the side that no one knows ...
as well as in the first book Ian managed to disappoint me and make me furious when he "relates" to Olivia about the nature and details of the work that took him in that situation.
The blood boiled in my veins; and again I was about to give up on him... But Miss Sable has an abililty for digging deeply in the psyche of those who love ...
people can make mistakes, but when there are evidency of redemption, mistakes can be forgiven ...
I could not read the part concerning the meeting between Olivia and Steph .. I am honest, perhaps for the particular period that I'm living, I had almost completely skip the whole course of that scene except for the sentences that could make me understand what happens. ..
as usual, I hope to read more about Xander and Tamara ... and at the end of the book, I'm soooo intrigued by Matt .... we'll see ...

If you haven't read An Open Lock you shouldn't read this book, because it's the second part of the story between Ian and Olivia. Otherwise, carry on ;-)
You have been furious for Olivia when E left her without more than a one-word-message and wondered how the author can make such a faux-pas right?
You want to see him grovel?
You want to see into his head?
Well, this is definitely the right book for you!
Let me tell you, I could think of no reason for him to stop their relationship in the way he did.
And since I could think of no reason good enough to do such a thing, I could think of not reason for her to forgive him.
But right in the first chapter we get the reason and it is a damn good one. Good enough that I'd find it believable if she would forgive him.
The question whether Olivia forgives him isn't the only thing the two of them have to struggle with. There are two (or three ) issues they have to deal with, but this time, we get more than Olivia's perspective - we get to see into E's head!
That's something I wanted to do since I picked up the very first book in this series and finally, finally I can!
Beside the POVs of the main couple we get tiny glimpses into Craig's and Jelly's heads and yes, that means that the whole Carter-clan has it's appearance in this book. Actually, most of the book takes place at the home of the Carter-family - in contrast to the first book London is left behind pretty quickly.
A look into Ian's mind, a lot of Carters and some life changing issues - what else do you need to know about a book?
Oh, yes something about the sexual relationship between our protagonists.
When the thing with Xander happened in the first book, it was obvious that something had to change. But the dom-sub-relationship was a big part of them and to change that would mean to change both persons. E without a control-fetish wouldn't be E and Olivia is someone who likes to have him dominate her (during sex).
So maybe you ask 'how can their sexlife change in a way that is believable, makes it obvious that something like the Xavier-thing won't happen again and is still sexy?'
Well, I don't want to write spoilers, but it definitely works. The sex scenes are still sexy as hell even if they don't exactly the same way anymore.
To be honest, I like this book better than the first one. In An Open Lock I was sometimes annoyed about Olivia's behavior and her push-over ways. And since we only got to see her perspective, it wasn't easy to enjoy the book. Furthermore it's hard to get to know a character if we can't see into his mind, especially if he is such a guarded one as Ian is.
Another reason I really liked this book is how one of the life-changing things is handled

i received an ARC for an honest review, so here goes.
After finishing an open lock i was left hanging with contradictory feelings, but this book topped all of my expectations.. i loved it, i didn't want to put it down and i didn't want to finish it. i wanted to keep reading for a week and i doubt i would have had my fill.
this book shows major developing in E's character, we read the developing of a character that goes beyond amazing. Olivia's character also develops along with Ian's, but Ian had a lot of obstacles to overcome, and he did so wonderfully.
i cannot wait to read more of your books RJ and i will patiently wait for more brilliance ( though i don't know how anything will top E's story).
I finished this book in a day. The next couple of days i had TERRIBLE work days, so when i got to bed at night i would open the book again on a random chapter and read because this book elevated my mood massively. It's easy to say that it's now in my top ten favorite books of all time.

I received an ARC for an honest review!
After the cliffhanger in An Open Lock I really didn't know what to expect, I had all kinds of scenarios running through my head and the opening of the book was not what I expected at all. Of course that is on of the reasons I love RJ Sable's writing because nothing that I thought had led to Ian's STOP was what happened. Ian is dominating as ever, even if he doubts it for a bit, he can't help but be all alpha and his love for Olivia is obvious throughout the book. I started it and couldn't put it down, there were several things revealed in about Ian that I never expected. I absolutely hated the waiting for this book, but the wait was worth it.
I just saw the blurb for Matt's book and again I am on pins and needles waiting for more from the Carters.

in this second instalment of Ian's book we actually get to see a softer side of him. he goes through many changes within himself. When we left off in book 1 (open lock) we get the impression that he is just a strong dominate alpha male that is not capable of having a real relationship with Olivia hence the text she received at the end of the book. In this round we find out that was as far from the truth as possible . Ian is now what he deems as a broken man and it takes not only Olivia but the entire Carter clan and a little surprise to finally get him to pull his head out his butt and see things for what they really are

I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
Olivia's life has plummeted- the love of her life has disappeared without saying goodbye, she has lost her job and friends. The only way surely should be up. Little does she know that things haven't gone to plan for E either. What happens when the family intervene and bring them together. It's explosive and down right erotic. RJ knows how to write a dramatic tale. It's great to read an easy flowing and compelling book. Loved everything about the storyline. The developed characters and how things turnaround for E and Olivia. She becomes this feisty young woman that E just falls in love with. Great great read. Looking forward to the next Carter brother story!

As always RJ doesn't disappoint. This is the second and finally installment of Ian Carters story... If you don't know who Ian is PLEASE read the with you trilogy and other books first. Ian changes so much thanks to Liv, don't miss this amazing and funny, yet emotional conclusion to this story!!!

Finally its E's story and it did not dissappoint! I love it, love it, love it! Ian is human after all, I like his mellow side
