Crow has a lot on his plate as the new head of Sector A. Young and inexperienced as he is in his leading role, he still has to prove himself as a capable Alpha. Especially Strike is challenging him for rank.
Yet Crow is adamant about asserting his position, because only as Alpha can he finally have what has been out of his reach for so long – Leslie, a doctor and former head of Life Tree’s INBREED program.
Unfortunately for him, Leslie herself doesn’t make it any easier. Three years his senior, she still regards him as the young Trooper who qualified for INBREED. In her book, that’s two reasons not to let him into her bed.

Als neuer Leader von Sektion A hat Crow alle Hände voll zu tun. Jung und unerfahren in seiner Führungsposition, muss er sich als Alpha erst noch beweisen. Besonders Strike fordert ihn heraus, um Crow seinen Rang streitig zu machen. Trotzdem ist Crow fest entschlossen, sich durchzusetzen, denn nur als Alpha kann er endlich das haben, was so lange unerreichbar für ihn war – Leslie … die ehemalige Leiterin und Ärztin der INBREED-Station von Life Tree.
Leider macht auch Leslie es ihm nicht gerade leicht … drei Jahre jünger als sie selbst, ist Crow für sie noch immer der junge Trooper, den sie ins INBREED-Programm geholt hat … und damit kein Mann, den sie in ihrem Bett sieht. Als Strike Crows Schwachstelle entdeckt und Leslie entführt, kommt es zum Kampf auf Leben und Tod.
Viel zu kurz! Eine sehr interessante Geschichte, aber auch wie beim ersten Band viel zu kurz. Ich würde mir wünschen das die Geschichte etwas mehr ausgearbeitet wird. Aber ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Band.

Written in the same world as TORN and some of the same characters. More is learned about the world and the characters are fleshed out more and more. The story is good but not riveting. Again the writing of good and I will enjoy learning more in future books. Recommended
