Sleuth

Rate this book
Parker is good at fighting. When she first found out, it scared her. Now, it’s comforting: a secret emergency switch she can flip any time the world tries to show her how scary it is—which is often. She used to be scared of muggers. Used to worry about home invasion and rape and guns; carjackers, drunks, sleazeballs who got rough when you told them no… She doesn’t have to think that way anymore. She can handle herself. The first episode of a detective series set in the near future, mixing the dystopian world of cyberpunk with a hard-drinking heroine.

Daniel Younger knows what this woman wants. Not chocolate, not sweet words but the ability to walk through the world with the impunity and fearlessness that men enjoy. Brava for Parker. May I strut with half of her confidence. Excited to read Sleuth #2.
