It’s springtime in Bath, Maine and detective Jesse Ashworth is happy to say good bye to the long winter. When Jesse’s partner Tim Mallory shows up with a new motorhome, Jesse looks forward to some travel time. Instead of the freedom of the road, Jesse and Tim become involved with three new cases. Tim and Jesse are happy to have the help of former Montreal police officer Hugh Cartier as they search for answers to the three mysteries. Images from the past, however, threaten to derail Jesse’s happiness unless he can find closure to a thirty-year old mystery of his own.

It's an easy and enjoyable read. It's not about the plot per say, but it's the comraderi of the group of friends that make up a big portion of why the book works. A more diverse group of characters you will rarely find. This isn't for people looking for a hardboiled mystery, or fantastic crime solving, but it's more about the value of family and friends. If you do read the books, read the series in order.
Entertaining and I have grown fond of the main character; but detective story writers that rely in the supernatural to solve crimes are just a bit lazy in my opinion.
