Logan had her life planned out - marriage to her boyfriend and working on her daddy’s ranch. It is an American Dream... but not hers. Instead, Logan takes some trains from Texas to NY so she can spread her wings and fly into something different. She meets some friends, challenges, changes, and more along the way. The Big City is a Big Adventure and exactly what dreams are made of!
Big City Dreams is a predictable, unrealistic, and overly clichéd story. So why did I give it 4 stars? Because it was a fantastic way to escape and get drawn in to some mindless reading. It was a feel-good story that had more than a couple of giggles at some of the things Logan would say and do. Logan reminds me of Elly May Clampett (Beverly Hillbillies) and Mac made me think of Stanley Tucci’s Nigel (The Devil Wears Prada), and the setting is a watered down version of Sex and the City. I could picture everything that was happening -from the scenery to the facial expressions- in my head with very little effort, thanks to TS Krupa’s writing. I do recommend this book to anyone who just needs a little happy in their life.
