Brothers of Justice #2

Tempting Justice

Rate this book
He’s sworn to uphold the law

His reckless behavior as a child caused the deaths of his entire family. On the lonely Sydney streets, the orphan found friends. Found “brothers.” Never again will Seattle Homicide Detective Heath Justice break the rules and risk his new family. Order and discipline govern his life…until he meets a curvaceous redhead. With two ugly murder cases to solve, the last thing he needs is this disconcertingly lovely, whirlwind of chaos, yet…charmed by her wit and intelligence, Heath can’t resist.

She believes rules are meant to be broken

Deep into writing a murder mystery, author London Shaw is shocked when she herself is implicated in a homicide. She can’t believe the ever-so-authoritarian Detective Heath Justice expects her to simply ignore the crime and go on about her business. Not happening. Although the man’s whiskey rough voice, cuffs, and masterful touch could melt any woman’s resistance—and does—she has a craving to do a little investigating herself.

When all or nothing is your only play

When Heath’s murder investigation threatens a far-reaching conspiracy, everyone he cares for becomes their target—including the woman he’s come to love.

These brothers had me so captivated I couldn't wait to start this book after reading the first, Craving Justice. Following Heath Justice, the cop of the family, this book takes us on a journey surrounding a murder and the sexy mystery writer accused of the crime.

Heath was enamored by the fiery red head the second he caught her trying to break into her parents' house and he knew there was no way he was letting her go without a promise for a date. He and London started a relationship with ease and he slipped right into protective mode. Honestly what I loved the most about their relationship was the simplicity of it. There wasn't much drama surrounding these two so we got to sit back and enjoy the hot detective as he uses his cuffs in some very fun ways with little interruption.

Overall, I'm now a huge fan of this authors writing and can't wait to read more of her sexy Alpha's and strong heroines.

descriptionI love this cover. It is similar to book one's cover keeping a nice symmetry throughout the series so far. It's eye-catching. A fairly good representation of the story. It makes great use of graphics. The composition is really good, and the typography is interesting.description

descriptionI really rather enjoyed this one. Same engaging writing as book one. I felt the pacing in this one was much better. It held my interest from beginning to end. The mystery in this one didn't have the same impact as the one in the previous book, but I was still surprised at who turned out to be the guilty party.

Again we have a whole cast of interesting and likable secondary characters. There was a fascinating addition in this book (Declan Bishop), and I am extremely intrigued by him. As well as London's two brothers. Although one seems to already be in a relationship. I was a tiny bit disappointed we didn't get more Zach (the bad boy biker brother), but his book seems to be up next with Jinx as his heroine.

description

As for the main characters. Well, both were extremely likable. There was NO angst or drama relationship wise in this book. They just meet, got together and stayed together. I liked them as a couple, but I didn't find them particularly exciting as a couple. In fact, I would say this book leaned way more towards the suspense side than it did the romance side. Which was fine since the mystery was intriguing enough that it carried the book.

After reading both book one and two back to back, I can definitely say that this series has me hooked. The brothers. The friends and family connections. The continuing mystery. It all gives me a ROCK CHICK like vibe, and I LOVE that series, so me enjoying this one really in a no brainer. Two thumbs up from yours truly.description

The Justice brothers are back.

I enjoyed reading Tempting Justice. I like to see siblings bonding with their teasing, sarcasm and humour bringing them together. Mostly having fun, but more times than not there’s an opportunity to poke fun instead. No brother or sister is going to let you live it down when you stumble but what makes a great family is they’re laughing…as they help you up.

I’ve met the Justice family before and I know they have each other’s backs. Now, I know they’ll have the backs of their brothers loved ones too. In Tempting Justice, we meet another close family, the Shaw’s. Derek Shaw and Heath Justice work together as detectives and have been partners for the last three weeks. After an all-night stakeout, Derek talks Heath into having breakfast at his parent's house. Before breakfast gets touched, Heath finds himself having to pull out his cuffs to apprehend a criminal…Derek’s sister, London.

London is a writer in the process of stepping out of her comfort zone. Her writing career as a Young Adult Romance author has made her a success, but she’s ready for a change. This change is making her nervous because of the risks London has to take. Will she lose her readers? Can she maintain the same level of success in a different genre? By changing her genre, will she still have a publisher? These worries play on her mind but she’s determined to go through with it.

One of London’s first steps in the writing process is research. Unfortunately, her research lands her in hot water with a very sexy Aussie officer of the law who cuffs her and holds her for questioning. When London’s dear old brother comes out and finds his sister cuffed, instead of running to her defence, he laughs. Not willing to be intimidated, London stands up to Heath and comes clean to Derek why it seems she's breaking the law.

There is plenty of sizzling attraction between Heath and London. Heath knows what he wants and acts on his desire to get to know London more. With her brother being his work partner, he knows that he will have to be careful. London is extremely busy with her writing commitments but she’s definitely willing to make time for Heath. As they get to know each other better they realise they are complete opposites when it comes to order and spontaneity. Heath is order and London is spontaneity…which they hope will balance each other out in the end.

Tempting Justice has a mystery to solve and it will take Heath, his brothers, Derek and his brother Aidan (also a cop), and London and her girl pals, working together to find the answers.

I found that I was a little disappointed with the “erotic” portion of the story. There were times that I felt that everything was laid out and explained a little too clearly. Heath’s idea of bossiness and control was explaining exactly what he was doing…every step of the way. I would have preferred the action without the commentary. To me, I did not feel that the intimacy reached anywhere near the level of needing a safe word. Sure, Heath was a little bossy and uses his cuffs at home as well as the office, but she asked for it. I’m pretty sure a simple no if she was feeling unsafe, would have sufficed.

I liked Tempting Justice. The characters were interesting, the storyline held my attention and I finished with a smile on my face. I will definitely be reading more of this series in the future.

The Justice Brothers are back and still trying to unravel the mystery that was Stanton Fox’s secret life and solve his murder. My obsession with the Sons of Sydney series started within the first few pages of Craving Justice, book 1, it has doubled from reading Tempting Justice, book 2.

Heath Justice is a Seattle Police Officer; he’s all about order and following the rules. He’s also incredibly hot, extremely Alpha and feels he isn’t worthy of love because of guilt from his past. Heath’s partner, Derek, invites him to have breakfast at his mom’s house; during this visit he meets Derek’s younger sister, London. Their meeting was definitely one for the books and made me fall in love with both of them. London Shaw is an author and definitely walks to the beat of her own drummer. It’s totally endearing when she rambles nonsensical stuff anytime she gets nervous around Heath. London is also a fly by the seat of your pants, chaotic, not so organized woman, which can drive Heath crazy at times.

London and Heath are like the Odd Couple of romance, they shouldn’t work but they do beautifully! Heath is fully prepared to make it work and pulls out all stops, including his handcuffs. London is receptive to everything Heath throws her way, even his handcuffs! I love that London is confident in her sexuality and adventurous! We are introduced to several more alpha men in this book and I hope that we get all of their stories as well!

Ms. Archer has a way of creating a solid story, that flows smoothly while delivering humor, explosive chemistry, alpha men, fierce yet sassy women and amazing secondary characters, all while keeping you guessing “who dun it” throughout the book! I cannot get enough of the Sons of Sydney and am impatiently waiting for book 3, Riding Justice.

After trying to find an Australian slang phrase to express my emotions on this book I've decided to go back to me good old English slang and say that this book is the dog's bollocks. I would post a drawing don't think that it would go down well though.

So, this is the dog's bollocks as I mentioned. I. Loved. This. Book. So. Much. It is an absolute riot and a must read for 2017 - well IMO and let's face it, it's the only one that counts. Lol.

Heath Justice is a sex on a stick, a walking orgasm, ladies your knickers will drop without you wanting them to. Detective with the Seattle PD. An alpha to the core with vulnerability to give him a softer edge. A born protector always there for family and friends. He wants a family of his own.

London Shaw, YA author comes from a big family. Sweet, sassy full of mischief and mayhem. A fantastic heroine. You have got to meet London's Gran she is something else. Read and find out for yourself.

Heath & London's first encounter had me in stitches.

“When I said nothing illegal, I mean it depends on your point of view.” “My point of view is as a cop, which doesn’t leave a lot of leeway on a range of subjects.” She frowned at him, as if he was being unreasonable. “That’s a rather rigid stance. Not everything is black and white.” Heath wasn’t prepared to debate the point. “Your disappointment is noted. Now-“

Heath is a take no bullshit kind of guy and he goes after what he wants and that is London. Ladies & gentlemen (have to cover all of my bases here) they are good together.
London is doing her best to go with the force that is Heath but there is still too much shock and awe going on.
London is a creature of chaos and Heath is Mr. Rules and Regulations makes for an interesting, hilarious combination.

I liked that there wasn't a big deal made about Heath being interested in Derek and Aidan's sister it is touched upon briefly and then we move on. Thank God the author did play that card that would have sucked major balls.

When reading the chemistry between London and Heath get your fan ready ladies you will need it. There is some kink. There are steaming, scorching, intense and hot scenes as well as sweet and tender moments.

The plot is action packed with a couple of murders thrown in which kept me guessing to the very end. The unpredictability of the book made it even better. I was on the edge of my seat. I was sure that it couldn't be pulled off but it is.

In my review for book 1 I wrote about not getting on board with the whole idea of the boys banding together and then being a adopted. I tend to be a cynic but I have changed my mind this totally worked here and an improvement to book one. Once again just my opinion.

I also wrote that I didn't like Adam but I've changed my mind on that as well. God I really want his book. Dark, broody ex black ops. Nuff said really.

There are so much opportunities now Ms. Archer can go and write about the Shaw Brothers. Oh and don’t let me forget the delectable Declan Bishop. Pretty please Ms. Archer?

All in all you all remember that author who did kick arse heroines and alpha Heroes although long descriptive writing well this is along those lines that not long arse descriptions that makes everything drag out unnecessarily. So as I wrote a must read IMO.

No o/w drama.

I'm also glad that the author took her time with this book. The release date had been pushed back twice but that made it worth it in the end.

OMG! I was so THRILLED to dive back into the world of the SONS OF SYDNEY! Fiona Archer will make you SWOON HARD for her Aussie hunks! Heath Justice is the next brother up, and oh my hell was he an INSTANT FAVORITE of mine! I fell HARD for him in the first book, Craving Justice, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on his story! TEMPTING JUSTICE was a scorching HOT and beautifully SWEET romance that had me SWOONING for hours! I read it in one sitting, and the minute I finished, I wanted to start it ALL OVER AGAIN!

"Ms. Shaw, any steps I deem necessary can and will be used to place you exactly where and how I want you."

"What if I resist?"

"There's always my cuffs."

Did I mention that Heath Justice was a Homicide Detective? OMG! Ladies, that just adds to his all-around SEXY FACTOR! I absolutely ADORED Heath and London together. He's so intense and she is this easy-going writer. It was just an absolute PERFECT combo!

I think the best thing about this book was the ease of how these two got together. Don't get me wrong, their first meeting was not all rainbows and unicorns, but it was very hilarious and oh so charming. I'm talking about the fact that London is the baby sister of Heath's new partner and instead of tip-toeing around his partner to pursue London, he just put it all out there and pretty much said, I like her, so I'm going to go after her. There was absolutely no qualms about it. And that, a man knowing EXACTLY what he wants, is SEXY as SIN!

"You want more, Red?"

"Yes."

"Then let me take you there."

And when Heath's dominant side came out in the bedroom...HOLY SHIT! The steam factor was kicked up more than a few notches for sure! TEMPTING JUSTICE was an all around FANTASTIC romantic suspense that had my heart racing and my thighs clenching. I couldn't have asked for a better happy ending for one of my favorite characters of the series!

In Tempting Justice, the Justice Brothers are back and still trying to unravel the huge mystery that was Stanton Fox’s secret life and at the same time, solve his murder. Heath Justice is a Seattle Police Officer; he is for law and order, rules and justice. He is definitely a hot alpha male. London Shaw is Heath’s partner younger sister. She is also an author and someone who walks to the beat of her own drum gladly and proudly. She is so sassy and very sweet. The chemistry between London and Heath is intense and steamy. There is the kink factor that flares between the main couple and peppers throughout the story. The story is full of passion, of steam, of intrigue and suspense, of sweetness and of heart. I loved the story that developed between London and Heath. The plot is action packed with murder thrown into the mix. The story has twists and turns, also has ups and downs. The mystery and suspense has you guessing who the murderer is until almost the very end, along with the budding relationship between Heath and London. I enjoyed this story very much and definitely will read this author again.

Heath is something to behold. Lawd have mercy. I've always had a thing for good men with badges or a uniform. Heath and London is order and chaos. Loved this couple. No drama with the going back and forth with their feelings. The each knew what they wanted which was each other and they stuck with it.
Loved every minute of their story.

Copy received from author for an honest review

This is a rerelease of the book, first released in 2017.

I read it back then, and I enjoyed it as much this second time around. I have terrible bookzheimers so all remembered about it when I picked it back up was Heath and an author lady - sorry Fiona!

These Justice men sure do know how to get a girl all a-swoon. Heath is all kinds of hotness wrapped up in a detective. London is as cute as anything and I love everything about her.

Every time I thought nobody could beat the last Justice, welp, here we are and I am all about Heath.

Though I know that that will change with Zack and Adam's books (man, I am reaaaalllly looking forward to his book).

Great secondary characters, great seeing where the leads from the previous book are, and a bit of a glimpse of where things may go with the next guy, Ms Archer has me hooked already.

I also can't wait to get to Seattle in a couple of months time, and this Aussie will be hunting down some Justice of her own

Falling in love should always be like this…

I am loving this series! I was beyond excited when I knew this series was being given a reboot and, wow, has the magic returned. Reading this again, I fell in love once more with characters seemed even sharper, emotions even stronger and the love? Well, it was deliciously more intense too…

Every love story should start with larceny if they are like Heath and London’s. A murder mystery and a woman intent on finding the truth meant they were going to butt heads from the start. The tone quickly changed though with all the banter and intensity, the steam, and the wingmen (and women) creating a story that just blazed with intensity and emotion…

Whatever the combination was needed for a ‘don’t put me down’ kind of read, this one was just that! It made me just feel good while reading it. How do you explain that feeling when the words sing to you and you are completely, utterly absorbed in each character? Pure reading bliss I guess…

Be prepared to be highly entertained and happily spending time trying to find your favourite character. Spoiler: it will be utterly impossible (I knew I couldn’t choose!). I cannot wait for the next instalment! ~Diane, 5 happy, happy stars

5 Star Review of Tempting Justice (Brothers of Justice #2) by Fiona Archer

This is the second book in the Brothers of Justice series by Australian author Fiona Archer and is Heath and London Shaw’s story. There is mystery, intrigue, romance, and a number of swoon worthy moments. I am in love with all the Justice men and I have to say that the author matches her heroes with independent, feisty and amazing ladies.

I love the relationship between all the Justice brothers and was excited to catch up on what they have been doing. London's family was pretty awesome too and I loved her grandmother Estelle.

When an investigation puts not only the Justice men in danger, but also their women, Heath is determined to do all he can to ensure their safety. I loved Heath and London together, these two just gel, the suspense, humour, hot scenes, love and romance made for an awesome read. I like how dominant Heath is; he is determined to go after London, even though she is the younger sister of his new homicide partner.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

ARC received for an honest review

It has been a bit of a wait for Tempting Justice to hit my kindle, but all the best things are worth waiting for.

Now I am trying to find the words to give these Justice boys the justice they deserve.

I was kind of crushing on hot cop Heath in the first book, Craving Justice, but now I have gone and full on fallen for the guy.

London Shaw, writer extraordinaire, spreading her wings in the literary world. And getting herself into all kinds of trouble whilst doing it.

I liked the ease with which she and Heath got together. No long, drawn out will they or won't they. Sure, there was drama around them and their families (London's brothers could be an issue!) but they did what they needed to do for themselves.

"Earlier in the day she had referred to herself as Cinderella. Did that make Heath her rough-around-the-edges-Prince Charming?"

Of course, we know that the Justice boys seem to get caught up in all sorts of troubles, and it is no exception this time. We are kept on tenterhooks wondering the whos and whats and whys of what is going on right up until the end.

One thing though, I did feel that everything was wrapped up in a bit of a rush. But this could just be me.

I am now looking forward to the next brother's book.

5 Star Review of Tempting (Sons of Sydney #2) by Fiona Archer

This is the second book in the exciting Sons of Sydney series by Australian author Fiona Archer and is Heath and London’s story, Heath is one of four brothers (not by blood, but by choice) rescued from the streets of Sydney and adopted and whisked away as teenagers to live in Seattle by Aurora Justice and her son Dillon.

This is one of the best series by an Australian author I have read. There is mystery, intrigue, romance, and most certainly some hot swoon worthy moments. I am in love with all the Justice men and I have to say that Ms.Archer pairs her heroes with independent, feisty and amazing ladies.

I loved Heath and London together, these two just gel, the suspense, humour, hot scenes, love and romance made for an awesome read. I like how dominant Heath is; he is determined to go after London, even though she is the younger sister of his new homicide partner.

I love the relationship between all the Justice brothers and was excited to catch up on what they have been doing. London's family was pretty awesome too and I loved her grandmother Estelle.

When an ongoing investigation puts not only the Justice men in danger, but also their women, Heath is determined to do all he can to ensure their safety.

This was one of those books that I didn't want to end, I read it virtually in one sitting as I was riveted to how the story would pan out. I am looking forward to the next installment in what has fast become one of my favourite series.

Heath is our guy in this release. Heading to Derek's house for breakfast (his partner) -- Heath's world is flipped upside down when he catches someone breaking into another section of the house while visiting. Cuffing the intruder and dragging her to the front Heath is surprised to have just met Derek's little sister London.
From here the story takes a nice little twist. London is a YA writer taking on a new genre. Her family is supporting her for the leap but she has to do research in order to make her murder mystery have the flair she desires. However things start to get a little heated up and London finds herself in a situation that she cant deny.
There is major suspense and who done it in this book. However it wont be who you think which is a must for a reader. Keeping track of who was who was bit confusing for me at first through all the banter and discussion but I eventually settled in and got deep into the story line.
I'm just as curious as you to see what events take place for our next brother and where Heath is when we revisit him. Thank you for the ARC and thank you for the chance to read a great story. The characters are well written and I loved that fact that London had nervous talking habits. Those were hilarious and put some light into the story just when needed. Great work and beautiful cover!

I devoured this book. I recommend reading Craving Justice first, however it is not necessary. Do not resist the temptation of Tempting Justice! This series of Australian brothers that Fiona Archer has created is amazing. The brothers all had hard lives growing up. As adults, they are still united as brothers especially when they or their woman find themselves in crisis situations. I mean who wouldn't want this group helping them?!

"Sometimes a girl just needed to hear advice from a group of big, gruff Aussies who had the diplomatic skills of an exploding grenade."

What I love the most about this book? London! An author! The inside glimpse of an author's world is awesome. I can totally image Fiona in certain places. It made me chuckle.

London is the perfect fit for Heath. After reading Craving Justice, I wondered who would be the Ms.Right to Heath's amazing alpha male! London is the perfect fit. The book shows us all aspects of her life and tough decisions she must make.

“Never let others make your big decisions for you. Not when your happiness is at stake. Only you should be in control of those choices.”

I loved reading about Heath, London, his brothers, and characters who quickly are become part of this patchwork family. Thank you, Fiona Archer. I can't wait for Zach's story.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

The second story in this series has Heath meeting London as she is attempting a ‘break in’, but things are not as they seem. They both are attracted to each other but Heath knows he has to tread with care as she happens to also be the sister of his partner.

Another amazing story by Fiona. I loved all the characters, the storyline flowed so well. Heath and London are perfect for each other, one who loves order, the other not so much. Fiona gave us well created characters in Heath being a police detective and London being a writer.

I loved reading about their attraction to each other and how they made it work. Friends and family play a huge part throughout the story filled with suspense, twists and turns and finding love.

This is book two in the Sons of Sydney series. Heath & London's story.

This book has intrigue, mystery and romance. I really enjoyed the fast pace of the story.

I love Heath and London together. Heath is an alpha male with a softer side. London has spunk and determination whilst also being very cute. My favourite scene in the whole book is when they meet for the first time. It's hilarious. They just click straight away and I like that there is no angst in their relationship.

There is lots of interaction with the secondary characters who all have a lot of depth. London's grandmother is the best! I'm hoping the Shaw brothers eventually get a spin-off series.

This series has me hooked. I can't wait for Zach's story next.

I am head-over-heels IN LOVE with this series! I read the first book, Craving Justice, and I was immediately hooked! How could I not be? BOTH Craving Justice and Tempting Justice suck you into a new world full of Aussie badasses finding love. It was awesome. And while Craving Justice piqued my interest, I fell in love with Tempting Justice. My mind, and body were blown away. I felt like my world would never be the same after this book. From the moment I'm introduced to the Justice Brothers, I melted but I just adored Heath! He was so alpha and dominant at everything he did and exuded extreme caveman tendencies that made him utterly delicious. When you couple all the awesome that he is...from his perfectly ordered life to his absolute control of everything, you understand immediately why he is drawn to London. London is everything he is not....free-spirited, messy, klutzy, and awkwardly endearing. I loved her. From her sassy mouth to her bold and brazen behavior, London was a female lead worthy of our hero. This book was instant love at it's finest....although they don't admit that immediately or realize it. Better yet, it is believable. Every second of their lives I can vividly imagine like a movie. This is amplified when all the maddening chemistry they have explodes into some pretty erotic and mind-blowing sex. This couple deals with some heavy, emotional, and gut-wrenching issues...I won't give you the details because it's better you experience them for yourself. Yet somehow they come back to them. They are perfect for each other. Really...how an author can pack so much goodness in a book? Pretty easily, it seems, because Ms. Archer pulls it off so well, I felt like I was IN THE BOOK!!! That rarely happens. This book had everything...well written characters complete with perfections and flaws, a very engaging and easy to understand plot, burning passion, intense suspense, witty banter, and a love that will last a lifetime. And while the plot line from the first book carries over to the next, you can totally read this book alone and not feel like you are completely lost (although I wouldn't recommend it....why shortchange your self when there is so much goodness to have). More importantly, this whole series centers on one thing...the importance of family and all the many forms it takes. If I could, I would fly to Ms. Archer's home and crack a whip behind her to write the next book faster because I can't wait to see what she has in store for us readers. I highly recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18 who can read because it has everything you want in a book and will leave you fully satisfied yet craving your next fix as soon as you finish is. 5 stars...yes. But honestly, not even that many stars justifies this books awesomeness!

Tales From The Heart blog review by Leanne

Update: 5 years after reading this the first time.
What a pleasure it was to revisit this story and it's characters. I'd forgotten most of the story line with the 100s of books that I read. I remembered this is the story that sent me shopping online for stationery.
Heath and London were great characters along with the rest of their families. A mystery of murder surrounded this story...just 'whodunnit'. It still took me by surprise. There are added bonuses and scenes in this new rewrite.
Fantastic story, I highly recommend it.

2017: I was lucky to receive an early copy of this book. Such a fantastic story, that I was totally engrossed and almost missed my train stop.
This is Heath's story along with London, younger sister of his colleague which could be awkward. The plot was certainly entertaining with drama, action, murder and love. Just when I thought I had that side character b!tch worked out the author threw in a twist that I didn't see coming. I enjoy the banter of the Justice Brothers, tough young men who grew up on the streets and developed into these tough but caring men. I didn't want this book to end and I certainly look forward to the next brother's story.

Having read the blurb to this book I was immediately drawn to it and desperately wanted to read it. It was one of those blurbs that enticed you. Unfortunately, I didn't think the actual story was as good as the blurb portrayed. For me it was too slow, of course that is just my personal feelings.

I found this story to be really hard to get into; it took me a good while to start to enjoy it because I found there was just too much unnecessary story in the beginning, too much filling in and not enough action. This really made it difficult to get into and on many occasions I had to put the book down. However, I have to say that by the middle of the book it did pick up and I started to enjoy it. The characters really didn’t grab me, they didn’t make me particularly love them, or hate them, I found them slightly annoying if anything. For me the story just didn’t do it, but everyone reads a book differently, so who knows you may love it.

I must say, I love the Justice brothers.
In book one, the author had a twist at the end that I just did not see coming. This book picks up about a month after the end of book one, and from the very start of this book, I was hooked. I absolutely love London and Heath together. Not only does this book have plenty of heat but it also has suspense. And like book one, there was a twist at the end that I certainly wasn't predicting. In fact, I was predicting something totally different.
I loved catching up with the rest of the Justice brothers, but I also loved meeting London's family, especially her Gran. I can't wait to hear the rest of the Justice brothers' stories.

This is Book #2 in Fiona's Sons of Sydney series and boy was it good! This book kept me on the edge of my seat while laughing throughout the entire book. Hehe.

Heath is seriously an alpha but with a heart of gold. London is full of sass and definitely keeps Heath on his toes throughout the entire book.
I loved reading their story and what was even better was that London is an author herself. So you get to see things from a different perspective.

I really enjoyed seeing parts that include Harper and Seth from Book #1.

My favorite part would have to be how they met. That scene was classic!

I can't wait to read the next brother's story!

This is book two in the series and book one, Craving Justice, needs to be read first.
Detective Heath Justice is back on the force on after being forced to work desk duty. His new partner, Derek Shaw seems to be working out until he catches someone trying to break into Derek’s parents place.
London Shaw is an author who has decided to switch genres after writing YA and is now going to write a mystery book and she is researching how to break into a house when she is caught by Heath. Sparks fly between the two and Heath knows he has met his match in London.
When a body is found Heath knows he will be off the case as it has ties to his family and his brother, Adam is hired to dive further into the murder by the victim’s wife.
Then a fellow author is killed and London is linked to the murder. Can they prove London’s innocence?
As everything begins to get tied together will they be able to figure out the truth before it’s too late?
This book is another awesome book in the series! I am loving this series and I am hoping it carries on more than four books!
Heath is such a great character and a police officer who is sworn to protect but at the same time family comes first. He is put into protection mode the moment someone messes with London and that carries on through the book.
London was another awesome character and I loved her from start to finish. I hated what she went through in this book and I loved that she was an author who was switching genres and afraid to upset her readers.
The two have another intense relationship and again there are BDSM elements in it as well.
I loved the twists and turns and how everything carried on from the first book which keeps the reader wondering how deep this is going. The ending leaves you completely surprised and I was shocked at what was revealed!

Heat, humor, mystery and suspense along with great characters

Book 2 in the series, while enough details from book 1 are filled in to make sure you could read this one on its own, characters and storyline carry over from the previous book. I'd recommend reading the series in order for maximum enjoyment and because this book has spoilers for book 1.

I loved how Heath and London were opposites in so many ways: Heath is literally law and order, being a homicide detective, and order is important to him in all facets of his life, while London is a writer whose creativity actually thrives with some level of chaos around her. They both showed some nice character growth over the course of the story, and watching them adjust and tease each other was half the fun of their relationship. The other half? Well, let's just say those cuffs Heath had really helped ramp up the heat in the bedroom, lol.

The story had its own share of mysteries to solve, and an additional set of secondary characters coming into the mix with London (including big brother Derek, Heath's new partner) along with the characters from the previous book, all of which came together in a nicely balanced story with plenty of depth.

Heat, humor, mystery and suspense along with all those great characters meant that I enjoyed this book every bit as much as the first. Now I just have to wait for book 3 to come out to get Zach and Jinx's story. 5 stars

Excellence

Another stunning read by Fiona Archer. Tempting Justice kept me riveted. Archer continued to build an enticing world as Heath and London’s worlds collided, murder cases needed solving, and the possibility of love was explored.

Once again, the daunting task of self-forgiveness was associated cleverly with moving forward with love. Heath Justice had lived with guilt for many years, and it had crippled him. London Shaw was a woman ready to face a problem head-on, until self-doubt thwarted her zeal. But together, it was possible for healing and courage.

More time was spent with the fabulous secondary characters, adding the perfect portions of flavour and spice to the story. I enjoyed how the eclectic family of friends continued to grow, and how my love for them all, and the intriguing mystery, kept me turning page after page. And let’s talk about schmexy sizzle. Archer has that nailed. Pun intended.

TemptingJustice was a book I struggled to put down, and I eagerly await Zach’s story. If romantic suspense is your genre, you’ll love this author, who pens a credible, well-researched mystery beautifully intertwined with desire, passion, and hope. This author has my attention, and I have no doubt that once you read the first two books in this series, will gain yours too.

4 1/2 Star Review....

Tempting Justice by Fiona Archer is the second book in the revised Sons of Sydney series, now known as Brothers of Justice. Due to an overarching theme within this series, it is imperative that the books be read in order to fully appreciate the character relationships and the brothers background and history. Each of the Justice men are strong, determined and imposing and hold the protection of those closest to them above all else. They are sometimes dominant and overbearing in their caring, but their loyalty and commitment are never in question.

This story focuses on Detective Heath Justice and his love interest, London Shaw, but as with Craving Justice all four brothers are represented and play a pivotal part throughout the storyline. Other primary characters are London’s brothers, Derek and Aidan, the many female friends, and the quirky, comical, and totally loveable Estelle Shaw (London’s grandmother) who provides many moments of laughter and light heartedness when needed most.

The storyline has plenty of danger, mystery and intrigue and certainly has an edge of your seat aspect too! I liked the flow and pace of the story and while there isn’t a cliff-hanger ending, there are enough elements left simmering, and an abundance of support characters to warrant a sense of anxiousness for the next book in the series. Overall, this is a really good read and an entertaining and enjoyable addition to the series.

Oh, and don’t forget to read the bonus epilogue that provides just that little bit extra.

I had lots of fun reading this book. Not jsut because it is a steaming romance but it involved a crime/murder mystery which is one of my favourite book genres. The book also "talked" to me because the female and male heros were just so much fun and full of quirks that made them more "real" and not some distant characters. I had some laughs with the male hero slight "OCD"...but hey, the female hero did not complain about the "punishment" when ever she disturbed the male hero "perfectly" ordered world...Poirot complex anyone? Anyway, will never get to see coffee the same way again :-)

Although this book is part of the Brothers of Justice series it can be read as a standalone...although I do recommend reading the previous book (Craving Justice). I would also recommend reading "In His Custody" first book in the Shaw Brothers series as the stories intertwine and we see some of the characters in Tempting Justice.

Anyway, once again, a masterpiece of romance written by one of my very favourite authors, I woudl blindly buy anything written by Fiona, she is that good. Very few authors succeed that feat!

Go buy this book and enjoy some great reading!!!
