About R. W. Lang
When I was a teenager, I read all the James Bond novels by Ian Fleming and thought that someday I would like to write a novel too. I live in Mesquite, Nevada, and retired in February of 2012. In the first year of my retirement, I read over 100 books. It was through this experience the idea of writing a novel re-emerged.

In November of 2013, I told my wife about the story I wanted to write, and she started laughing, then said that she thought I was being facetious. She is not laughing anymore. In late November, I started the novel, Ghosts, and Gold. In December of 2014, I decided to write the sequel, titled Ghosts and Murder. In the fall of 2015, I wrote the third and final book in the Ghosts series, Ghosts, and Heroes.

In September of 2016, I published The Mechanic, then in February of 2018, I published America Strong. After another pause, I published The Guide in April of 2021 and A New Dawn in December.

I had a lot of fun writing these stories and I hope you will enjoy them. I know my wife, Susan has because she was the editor for all five stories and has read them many times.

I sent my friend, Jo Wilcox, a copy of Ghosts and Heroes and this is what she wrote in a letter to me.

"I devoured the book in two days after receiving it. Loved it! It's funny how it conjured up questions that I didn't have after reading the first two books. With summer all but here, the trilogy offers three great books to take to the beach, mountains or where ever you happen to be going. They are easy to read and at the same time grab you. You can put them down when necessary (even though you don't want to) and when you pick them back up it's all there ready to go.

Thanks for the kind words, Jo.

This is the last book in his series of Ghosts & Gold and Ghosts & Murder. This book has several interesting story lines, all running at the same time as we continue the story of Jack Martin. Love, mystery and a touch of terror makes you realize the important role of a hero. R.W. Lang did a great job of ending this series with a powerful finish that will leave you wanting more, but the story has ended. All three books would make a great gift for an avid reader.
