It took me forever to go through this super small book. Mainly because I wasn’t inspired by it.
I think I erroneously bought it with the aim of finding out more on Jackie Kennedy. The truth is there I did not learn a single thing on her from this book. The biography side is completely missing in my opinion, besides some very small hints like the affairs of her husband.
I believe that the style of the writer is not very close to what I am used to and to what I like to read.

I have a weird relationship with Jelinek because I saw a production of one of her plays that I didn't necessary like (though that could've had nothing to do with the actual writing), but I ended up enjoying this one. Her princess plays are definitely interesting, and I find myself wishing I had read them on my own free will instead of for uni. At this point in the semester I'm just super tired of being forced to read things, so I don't always appreciate them. Nevertheless, I'm glad I could give Jelinek a second chance, even though I didn't really have a choice in the matter.

Fascinating take on a fascinating person, who was well aware of her value as an object of fascination.
