"Still Life" is a story of love, life, friendship and inevitable change, and how what was supposed to happen will happen, no matter how we might feel about it. Coralie is a small town girl who had everything she had ever the home that most women only dream of, a devoted sexy husband, a lifelong friendship, and her sister from another mister. But one day, everything changed. Change was not something she was ever prepared to accept, but fate is a river that takes us where it chooses.
Mixed signals. Things left unsaid. Missed opportunities. Blissfully happy. Happy, yet oblivious. What could have been. What should have been. What was. What is. What will be. The choice not made. Living, loving, leaving and knowing when to let go. Surviving. Fate. Together Forever. Love Everlasting.Forever and Always.
I'm not going to lie, this story blindsided me -- I just didn't see this coming -- at all -- what a l♥ve story! This story will stay with me for a very long time.
I was literally in love with this story, like omg these four best friends were just awesome. I wanted to be a part of their crew. I love the love and respect they had for one another. And don't get me started on those love scenes between Corey and Noah, guuurrrrlll yaaaasss! This had me with all the girly feels. I was loving it wondering why everybody was saying you'll need tissues when you read this. Then I get to the last few chapters of the book and things started to click and I was like I mean I went in knowing I wasn't going to get my HEA but damn Gina! (said in Martin Paynes voice) Really? So yeah no tissues here this reader is just out right angry at the outcome. I wanna hurt someone! This isn't fair! Not fair at all

Oh my! This book?! This book left me feeling some kinda way. I have never read a book that has ever touched my soul and left a mark like this one has. A beautifully told, bittersweet heartbreaking tear-jerking story. It was gritty, it was smooth, it was suspenseful, it was marvelous. I would definitely recommeend it.
This is not your typical romance story, it is one of friendship, Love and loss I didn't know until near the end what was really going on in all the characters lives. It was an emotional read.
Cordelia! Cordelia Michelsen (Applauding You) You Are An Amazing Gifted Author. And I'm In Awe Of You!! You Made My Dark Heart Cry Like A Little Girl.....
This Book Right Here Is The Best Damn Book I've Read In A Long Time. Truly Amazing!! It's Been Quite Some Time; Where A Book Has Gutted Me, Made Me Sob Like A Baby And Made My Heart Hurt So Badly. So Much Devotion, True Friendship, And Love. So Many Emotions Coming From The Pages.. But You Had Me Fooled For A Moment In One Scene! I Loved The Ending. True Sacrifice.
I started reading this book @ 11 pm. It is now 2:49 am, and I have to be up at 9 am to prepare for work... Considering the fact that I was so captivated by this story, to where I felt compelled, to stay up way past my bedtime, I can truly say that I am thoroughly pleased with the way that this author spins a haunting tale of love, angst, and regret.
Simply put, this book was well written, and the characters were touchable...
My only issues with this book were the minuscule amount of lag, a small amount of stilted writing, and also, the excess amount of sex found within the pages... IMO, it could have done without at least 50% of the pornalicious scenes, but other than that, I loved this book!
Can I give it more then 5 stars? This book is absolutly amazing, every time I thought I knew what was really happening a twist was thrown in the mix which kept me guessing till the end when the truth of it all was revealed. This book is about love, not just about loving someone but loving them enough to let go so they can move on and love again. This book is heartfelt and tear jerker in parts but will keep you wanting more from the first page to the last. A must read!
I started Still Life and finished it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. Ms. Michelsen paints a lovely picture of small town life, and, within it, created warm, believable characters that you just can't help but fall in love with. The intertwining stories of Corey, Noah, Smith, and Bree were not only beautiful, but intriguing as well. Their friendships were so strong, and their love for one another couldn't be stopped. I felt it as I turned page after page. Without giving too much away, I was able to devise what was afoot within the plot early on, but I was not prepared for the outcome. The lump in my throat continued to grow up until the very last word when the floodgates opened and a river of tears drenched my face. Even after I closed the book, the tears didn't end. Ms. Michelsen did a perfect job when she wrote the end of this book. Even thinking about it twelve hours later, an army of goosebumps prickle my flesh as the memories of it wash over me. This is the first book I've read by her, and if this is what I can expect going forward, then she has herself a lifelong fan.
Loved this story. When I first started reading I thought it was going to be a dud, but as you progress it lays out I truly amazing story of love, friends and how they helped each other to survive. Story centers around Coralie and her life long friend Smith. The story has a twist that if you are not careful you read past it. Really worth the read.
This was my first time reading a novel from this author. I cried while reading this. I wanted to fight while reading this. All I can say is this is an awesome story. Please read it.
I had a hard time writing this review, as the story stuck with me many days after I've finished and to write my review would give it a finality I'm not ready for. it was that good, the shivers and tears linger still. A story of 4 friends, love, lust, ever lasting friendships a bond that can't be broken but stretched. To be so emotionally deep into a story, you feel as if you are a part of it, beautifully written. the flow was so graceful I couldn't put it down, until I was finished and couldn't make out the words due to the tears. Amazing book, a must read by this Author.
This is one of the strangest stories I've ever read but found it mesmerizing and interesting. This is my first book by this author and no idea what to expect.
The lives of these four friends were so intertwined that they experienced so much together; joy, happiness and sadness but remained friends throughout it all.
I will just say it is an interesting book with a lot of twist and turns and a surprising end.
I rarely write reviews of books but this story deserves one. It was a heart wrenching well written story. I am not going in to detail because I will want tell you all about it. Get your Kleenex ready
It's a beautiful story, I have to give the author props for telling a story so beautiful and poignant that will stay with you for a while. That said it's also a very sad story.
I had high hopes for this book given all the raving reviews. And I don't actually think this book was bad. It's just that even going in blind, after about 4% of the book, I knew the approach the author was taking so there was no big reveal for me. Even if I did not know, this book is sort of 'the end justifies the means' kind of book. You have to read through mediocre scenes, well written btw, but still nothing mind blowing about the scenes/story until you read the reveal. Can't say I enjoyed it at all.
This book was beyond well written. It is hauntingly beautiful. Each character is pure perfection. It is so different. I don't want to give anything away. Just treat yourself and read it!!!!
Lots of twists!! Well written! I enjoyed the energy of each character. However, what bothered me... 16% into the book I found out the Coralie had brown skin. 67% into the book I was actually given a description of the main character. I knew what Noah looked like immediately, Smith was described accurately right away. I was told of Bree's blonde hair, blue eyes, and curvy figure right way. Yet, the voice I've listened to from the first page had no description until the book was 67% done. Turned me completely off.
First, get you a box of Kleenex! I love this book and after reading it, my heart feels like it has been in a rollercoaster. Now I just don't know what to do. I'm pondering the book and considering reading it again just to experience it again. There is love, heartache and a basket full of emotions. Nothing that I can say would do this justice without spoiling the book so just read it!!! You are going to love it and hate it!!!
Wow! This was not at all what I expected. What a well told story of commitment, love and loss. I mean, it's so bittersweet! I really enjoyed the storytelling in this book. I read it in one day literally. Your heart will flutter!
I was sadden to learn she and Smith was in a accident. I didn't see that comimg. I thought bree and Noah was having affair. Truly an emotional, sad ending to a wonderful story
I cried through the whole second half. This was beautifully written and had an ending I didn’t expect. I could never come up with an ending like that! I highly recommend this book!
