As I didn’t get on with the first in the trilogy, I don’t intend to read the second. Unfortunate as I thought the premise of the series was great!

It's been 8 solid months since the remaining surviving twin Stacey, battled it out with Detectives Isis Williams and her lover/partner Annette Toni. Stacey was found unfit to stand trial, and is being moved to a new facility, which is supposedly hi-tech with advanced security. As a reader, I was excited to find out more background on the twins, and what drove them to the darkness that clouded their lives. For everything, there is a reason.

While Stacey is in lock down, a crazed murderer is on the loose terrorizing innocent lives. Isis and Annette take to the streets to find the mysterious killer. It doesn't take long before Stacey escapes maximum security, and all hell succumbs the city. Stacey has not forgotten her sister's death, nor the ones responsible. She will stop at nothing to seek vengeance for her sister, Jannifer.

R.G Miller has brought us more than just a physiological thriller, he's brought us the very mind of a serial killer. The darkness that envelops a person with no remorse for the pain she causes. Not only is this thriller full of intense dangerous situations, but it's also has well developed characters. I was not disappointed with the second installment of "The Twins" and would recommend anything R.G Miller has to offer. He has a dedicated story, and he brings it home with the second half!

Stacey: The Twin is the second book in the trilogy ‘The Twins’ by R.G Miller - it is a gripping psychological thriller that is extremely intense, dark and disturbing.
This instalment of the story begins a few weeks after the last book left off- where the citizens of New York were held in the grip of terror, as two of the youngest serial killers the world has ever known, went on a sadistic killing spree across the city- triggering the biggest manhunt in the city’s history.
Detective Isis Williams, the lead investigator on the case, had used every resource at her disposal to try and apprehend Jannifer and Stacey McHill. But the two young girls proved to be more dangerous, cunning, and elusive than anticipated- leaving a trail of gruesome murders in their wake. Even their psychologist Dr. Susan Patterson is at a loss as to what the two may do next; advising Detective Williams that “If you have to kill one, kill the other also.”
After finally tracking down the pair, Isis and her partner Annette end up in a bloody and nightmarish confrontation with the twins- Isis is forced to shoot Jannifer McHill, which results in her death. Stacey McHill is apprehended and locked up in a facility for the criminally insane. Isis couldn’t bring herself the shoot Stacey as well, and hopes that this decision won’t come back to haunt her.
Now, there is a new threat prowling the streets of Harlem, in the form of a sadistic rapist and murderer who is targeting middle aged women. Fear begins to grip the city once more and Isis and Annette are assigned the investigation- tasked with solving the case as quickly as possible, before any more lives are lost.
As they are in the midst of this investigation, an electrical blackout provides Stacey McHill with the perfect opportunity to escape and so once more she is out in the city somewhere, bristling with anger and hell bent on revenge for her sister’s death. Dt. Williams, Dt. Toni and the rest of their precinct are all targets, and Stacey will do whatever it takes to wreak her vengeance on them all.
Isis and Annette now have two psychotic killers loose in the city and must use all their experience, training, skills, grit and determination to track them down and get them off the streets. With the body counts mounting and their investigation being thwarted at every turn by the cunning and resourceful killers, the chase begins to erode Isis and Annette’s confidence and has them on the back foot. Will the detectives be able to solve both cases before more lives are lost?
As the lines are blurred between being the hunter and the hunted, this story will fray every one of your nerves and leave you gasping, as you frantically devour the pages to try to discover what will happen next.
This book is much darker and more twisted than the first. The storyline and characters seemed to be more developed and we got a lot more information, backstory and details in this book.
It is fast paced and it had me hanging onto my seat as I was thrown headlong into the thrilling story. There were moments where I was in shock and awe at the gruesome details that were depicted- there probably should be a warning at the beginning of the book- because some of the scenes are horrific, truly dark and entirely disturbing.
It ends on a cliff-hanger that had my mind reeling as to what would happen in the next book.
This book is even better than the first, Mr. Miller has really hit his stride with this instalment and I can’t wait to read book 3.

Thank you Mr. Miller!

This is the second in the trilogy, but Idont think that you need to read the first (but it does give a more rounded experience). Stacey is out for revenge and hasn't forgotten or forgiven anyone.

The author gets right into the mind of a serial killer and it is a very dark novel and not for the faint hearted.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Updated for audio version which is even better
I do love this series as completely different from my normal reads and the narration really suits. But you have to remember that there are a lot of triggers and graphic descriptions of sex and violence.

For me it really worked

Stacey: The Twin by R. G. Miller is the second book in 'The Twins' trilogy and is even better than the first! Although it can be read as a standalone I thoroughly recommend that you read 'The Twins: A Psychological Thriller' first. Partly because it gives you more background to 'Stacey' as partly as you will love it!
The second book picks up the story approximately 8 months after the ending of the first book. Here we meet Billy Madison, a dark, sadistic, twisted rapist who targets older women. Although again, like the twins, Billy is what he is today partly through childhood experiences. As a child, Billy’s mother was killed when her home crystal meth lab blew up. Her severed head hit Billy in the head, damaging his brain. He was found carrying his mothers head. Billy is then sent to live with his aunt. Unfortunately for Billy his aunt (and her friends)are sexual deviants who soon teach Billy their ways.
Detectives Isis Williams and her partner Detective Annette Toni are assigned to hunt down and apprehend the (to them) unknown rapist that is terrorising the city. However, things are about to take a turn for the worst. Whilst Stacey, the surviving twin, is being transferred to a new, state of the art penitentiary/hospital for the criminally insane she escapes, killing two correction officers in the process. Dr. Susan Patterson, the twins’ psychologist was present during the escape and although Stacey didn’t injure her she was left traumatised and alarmed by Stacey’s statement to her that she was going to kill all of Detectives’ Williams and Toni’s family and friends and then kill the detectives themselves.
As Stacey’s killing spree, including the bombing of the Double 0 precinct, and evasion of capture continues due to her chameleon like ability to change her appearance the FBI are called in to apprehend her. FBI Special Agent Bobby Cannon is on his last chance as an FBI agent and is under extreme pressure to bring Stacey McHill to justice. He and Isis don’t however hit it off very well on their first meeting as both of them are feeling the pressure they’re both under.
One bright light in Isis’s life is that she and her sister (Pamerla’s mother) have now healed the rift that was between them and are talking to each other again. Pamerla herself is looking forward to the birth of her child whose father was killed by the twins 8 months earlier.
Detective Isis Williams also finds out who killed her father and is determined to take justice into her own hands. This causes friction between her and her partner as Toni feels that, as law enforcement officers, they should allow the justice system to operate as it should.
Stacey becomes more and difficult to catch and even mixes amongst the detectives unnoticed as she moves closer to her goal of killing Isis and Toni. Isis remembers more and more Dr. Susan Patterson’s advice to her that if she killed one twin then she should kill them both and, at times, regrets not doing so.
A breakthrough is made in Isis and Toni’s hunt for the rapist when they discover his identity.
Both Stacey (and her twin) and Billy suffered severe childhood trauma which greatly affected their personalities and minds and it is interesting, and fascinating to discover how and why this shapes their actions as adults. Also fascinating is the question of why some people, through childhood trauma, are affected in this way whilst others may be affected differently and go on to lead normal lives.

Stacey – R G Miller

OMG I could not wait to start this book to see how the story starts after the ending to the last book. It picks up a few weeks from the incident which caused Isis to kill Jannifer but for some reason she just could not kill the other twin, with Doctor Patterson’s words still in her head “If you have to kill one, kill the other also”.

Although Stacey is under the care of Doctor Patterson in a facility for the criminally insane, Stacey is still on a path for revenge against the woman who killed her sister and partner in crime. One night, the unthinkable happens and Stacy escapes from the facility and is on the run. This throws Detective Williams and her partner into turmoil as they have also been assigned to another brutal case.

The introduction of a new character that is just as evil and brutal as the twins also suffered an ordeal as a child. You learn that the reason that Billy is so twisted is due to years of physical and sexual abuse in the hands of his aunt and unlike the Twins he is not after revenge but he rapes and kills his victims to try and satisfy his urges.

As they are searching for the Stacey, she has become determined to kill the detective as revenge for the murder of her sister and becomes a master of disguise and miss various chances to catch her, they also cannot trust anyone they are close too so they instigate a password system to make sure they are speaking to who they should be speaking to.

This yet again is a page turner and as like the first book full of quite descriptive scenes, this is not a stand-alone book, I suggest if you would like to read this, you will definitely need to read book 1.

Stacey: The Twin
A Psychological Thriller
Book 2
By R. G. Miller
This novel is book 2 in the series. It must follow book one. This book is a murder mystery well worth the reading.
Electrifying story of Innocence Lost, Darkness Found.

Isis Williams is determined to find her unsub. To stop the killing of her friends and family. She is beginning to feel the hurt and anger this case is bringing her. She has lost her parents, her friends and now her own life is in jeopardy.

Annette Toni is also a detective, working with her friend and partner to put away this unsub. She to is feeling the pressure to bring this teen girl down and stop the killings. She to is a target, her life is at jeopardy as well as her fellow officers.

Dr. Patterson is the Doctor that cared for the twins at the hospital. She treated them for three years, before the girls were released. Dr. Patterson felt the girls should have never been released. She also told the detective that if you must killed one twin, you must kill the other. It was not a choice, it had to be done.

R. G. Miller has really done his homework with this story. He has opened up the ugly truths of just how hard it is to stop the killings from happening. He has his detectives really earning their money I this book. Is it really worth it? Read this exciting mystery. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did. Not for those under 18, due to violence, language and adult content. Well done R. G. Miller!!!

The story picks up from the first book The Twins. There are so many different things going on with my favorite Detective Isis Williams that R. G. Miller keeps you on your toes. Isis is talking to her sister and niece now, which was the first time in 14 years. You find out who finally killed her father. That is a turn that I did not see coming at all. Isis has a lot of reasons for being angry and she shows great poise for someone who is in the hot seat most of the time.

Miller introduces gentleman named Casper. Casper is a talk albino-African –American. His skin is white which is always looked different than the rest of the police force. He is the counterpart to Isis and Annette. He has a great big heart but there are unfortunate events that make you feel sad and mad all at the same time.

Stacey Miller is back. I cannot say too much because it is worth the read but be ready for the mind blowing work of Miller. He interweaves all the characters in a fashion that one has to reread some of the text because you cannot believe what you just ready.

If you like in depth characters, who takes you on a roller coaster then R. G. Miller is the author for you. He keeps you on your toes because he throws little clues to keep you interested. The little clues have a way to turn into a story that you did not see coming. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves psychological thrillers I would say to read The Twins first and then Stacey: The Twin.

Stacey The Twins by R.G. Miller, the second book in the series was intense and full of twists and turns. The author did a great job of keeping you on your toes, just as in the first book.
Stacey McHill and her twin sister Jannifer caused a lot of mayhem in the first book and Jannifer was killed by detective Isis Williams, when they were caught by her and her partner detective Annette Toni. Stacey was then being transferred to a facility in New York, when she escaped and is now intent on revenge for those responsible in her sister's death.
While Stacey is on the loose seeking revenge there is a sadistic rapist/murderer on the loose that the detectives need to find before he kills more women. There is pressure from all sides with a murderer on the hunt for middle aged women and Stacey who can do just as much damage, it is causing a lot of tension amongst the police force and the FBI who have been called in to help. This book will keep you guessing and at the end of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. The author takes you on a mind trip that I enjoyed. You can read this book without having read the first book but I would recommend reading them both so you have a better understanding of the background details of where this story starts. I would recommend reading this psychological thriller because it is an incredibly intense and dark read.

I read the first one and quite liked it. This was okay, but I feel like it dragged out a little, and it’s not especially long. I missed what I perceived as Stacey’s presence through most of this, and Jannifer. The investigators, to me, are not particularly interesting. The twins were always what drew me in. Minus one twin and lacking in the other, and my interest waned a little.
It’s still a decent quick read if you feel like something dark and twisted. The author definitely has a distinctive style. From memory I paid about $1 for this download and I’m not unhappy about it. I do think I will give part 3 a miss, but perhaps I’ll try something else he wrote at some point.

This book is the second in a trilogy and directly follows on from the first. As I dislike starting a book midway through a series I purchased the first one to read and I am glad I did as this would have been very confusing as a strand alone novel. Advance warning that it also ended on a cliff hanger ready for the which I wasn't so keen on.

That said the story continued to be very well written and gripped me though I felt some of the plot twists strained believability such as the twin being able to disguise herself as someone the detectives knew really well without being recognised.

I did really enjoy the book and look forward to reading the end of the trilogy soon.

Wow, a thrill a minute. Serial killers abound in this psychological suspense book. The characters are gritty and well developed. The storyline is interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. There are multiple twists and turns so even when you know what will happen, it doesn't happen the way you expect it to happen. A great read!

Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading.

This is the second book in the series and I don't feel as if it would read well as a standalone. Nonstop action and thrills throughout the whole book. Some familiar characters returned from the previous book and a few more are introduced. This was a dark and gritty thriller that isn't for the faint of heart. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

Stacey: The Twin by RG Miller is book two of Miller’s psychological thriller, “The Twins” trilogy. Do not read this book if you have not read book one, as it is not a standalone novel. Just as this first book was, this book was graphic and I would not recommend it for anyone who is easily grossed out.

This book continues to follow Detectives Isis Williams and Annette Toni, eight months after having apprehended the youngest serial killers in history, the Twins. However, Stacey McHill knows her work is unfinished after the death of her twin, Jannifer. What ensues between the detectives and Stacey will keep you on the edge of your seat. Not to mention more from Isis and Toni’s friends at the Double 0, and the appearance of a new, equally twisted killer.

This installment read much better for me than the first book. The prose and dialogue seemed to flow much more naturally, where the first book had occasionally felt disjointed. I am still completely amazed at the depth of imagination and detail that Miller put into the characters. I've never read a series that delved so far into the darkness of a serial killer, and that makes this series truly stand out for me.

Stacey: The Twin: Book 2 (The Twins A Psychological Thriller) is the second book in ‘The Twins’ trilogy by author R.G. Miller. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the books in order to get the full backstory.
Detective Isis Williams and her partner (and lover) Detective Annette Toni are trying to solve the case of a rapist and murder who is targeting older women in New York. While the detectives are trying to solve this case, Stacey McHill escapes from the mental institution where she was being held after being deemed unable to stand trial for her murderous rampage that she went on. When Detective Williams hears of Stacey’s escape, can’t help but hear Dr. Susan Patterson’s warning, ‘If you have to kill one, kill the other also.’
Now that Stacey in on the loose, she continues her killing spree and is looking for revenge on Detectives Williams and Toni and everyone else who was involved in her capture the first time. Will the detectives be able to apprehend Stacey and if so how many people will lose their lives before she is captured? This book is another suspenseful thriller that keeps you glued to the book from the very first page until the last. I don’t feel this book is quite as graphic as the first book but it is still quite graphic and violent so if you are opposed to very graphic and violent books then skip this one but if you love a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, then this book is for you.

Stacey: The Twins Part Two by RG Miller, is the second book in a series about Twin sisters that ravaged a city in a very intense thriller. He again comes back with even a better book that gives us a look at what happens after the girls are caught and another criminal is on the loose. RG Miller truly has a mind for such a powerful subject and what I would not give to be inside his mind as he writes not just about the twins, but very character in this book.

Set 8 month after the capture of Stacey and Mchill, 16 year old twin who sent a city into a uproar over going on a killing spree. “If you kill one, kill the other also” was told to Detective Isis and her lover/partner Annette, Just weeks after she had to shoot and Kill Stacy. Not long after, Jannifer was sent to a new hospital for the criminally insane.
Now a new criminal is on the loose, a rapist and murderer in Harlem that is focusing on middle ages women Isis and Annette, are trying to find this mad man before panic sets in but while this is happening, Jannifer Mchill escapes . Isis will search high and low, with the warning fueling her. She should have killed the other!

This book is filled with murder, suspense, and one of the most thrilling books that I have ever read. This book will grip you and not let you go from the beginning t the very end. I was able to read this book in one sitting because I HAD to find out what happens. And While I could give spoilers, I won’t. To fully get something from this book, I recommend you read it. I am normally a romance reader, but I have fallen for this authors brilliant mind and amazing characters. I love Isis and Annett and how they work so well together as lovers and as partners. I give this book 5 stars, brilliantly written, thrilling, leaving you at the edge of you seat.

5 Stars all the stars!!!
One of my favorite kind of books to read are the ones where you want to tell everyone all about it and how amazing it is, but you also don’t want to give it away. For me this book, and series is very much on point with that. I honestly, laughed, cried, screamed, and was grossed out. Warning, yes this book is graphic, if not more graphic than the first one and you will want to read that one before this installment, or it will leave you unknowing of what is truly going on. However, I will say despite the gore it is written to shock you and that shock value is what will keep you on your seat waiting for the next part and wondering what is going on. It is one of the things that makes this book so gripping and addicting. We get to follow the journey of our favorite super detectives, Isis Williams and Annette Toni, and we get to learn more about other detectives that work with them. Detective Leroy Chalk, or Casper, our big friendly polar bear. He will have a big role in this book and you will fall absolutely in love with him. I wanted to reach in and hug him more than once. Also, this is a trilogy so not only will there be a new antagonist, Billy Madison, but there will be our crazy, super psycho-crazy, McHill twins, and believe me, THEY are not finished! I read this one in on night, and since I finished it I cant stop thinking about it. I will be reading the last one as soon as possible and I guarantee you will want to do the same.

Stacey is Book 2 in The Twins: A Psychological Thriller. Book 2 continues eight months after Detective Williams and her partner/lover Detective Toni confront and kill one of the twins, Jennifer. Stacey was arrested because Detective Williams could not bring herself to kill her. Stacey was found incompetent to stand trial. What keeps playing in Detective Williams mind is “if you have to kill one, kill the other also”.

As Detective Williams replays that in her mind, she and her partner are on the hunt for a sadistic rapist/murderer. That was until chaos broke out at the new state of the art facility for the criminally insane. Stacey was transferred there with the help of her psychologist who has worked with her for many years and knows what she is capable of. After being placed in the cell, the power went out. Stacey killed the two corrections officers, but kept her psychologist alive. She escaped causing havoc throughout the city.

Detective Williams cannot get that thought “if you have to kill one, kill the other also”. Now that Stacey has escaped, she is on the prowl to kill the detectives. She took a vow that after Jennifer was killed, she will get her revenge and stop at nothing for her sister. Through all the chaos, will the detectives find the sadistic rapist/murderer Billy Madison. As well as hunt down Stacey who is the mastermind of disguises.

R. G. Miller continues with the graphic and descriptive storytelling and has a habit of keeping you at the edge of your seat. Stacey has your heart racing with the intense details and knowledge of the psychological disorders the characters are suffering from. R. G. Miller’s story is definitely full of suspense, mystery and lots of action. Stacey is disturbing, thrilling and gets you hooked and you will not want to stop reading till the end. I am really looking forward to Book 3 in this series.

Stacey: The Twin is book two of The Twins: A Psychological Thriller, by RG Miller. I liked the twists and intensity of this book, but felt quite a few parts of the book were not needed. I think the author had too many ideas and threw them in, and for me, it took away from the main story line. He also recapped the first book a few different times, which I didnt find necessary, since this is a part two book. I give this book a 4 star review.
This book continues the story of the McHill twins, after detective Isis and Toni capture Stacey and kill Jannifer, after they go on a killing spree in New York. Stacey was deemed unfit for trial, and is transported to a state of the art institute for the criminal insane. Shortly after transport, she escapes, and is set out for revenge on the detectives, and their entire department she sees responsible for her sisters killing.
Meanwhile, there is another insane psychopath torturing, raping and killing elderly women in Harlem. The detectives are under pressure to catch this horrible criminal, when they find out Stacey has escaped, and has her eye set on revenge. They now need to catch one monster, while another is trying to kill them. It is an intense, but good book, and I recommend reading it.

Stacy: The Twin: Books by RG Miller is the second book in this series. This is a continuation of the story The Twins. This story is full of suspense, action and mystery. In this story the revenge continues to rage like no revenge you have ever seen.

There is one thing that still sticks in Detective Isis Williams's head, “If you have to kill one, kill the other also”. What will happen now that there is only one twin alive, Stacey? The court sent her to a facility for the criminally insane but they are moving her to a new facility. What will happen when she escapes? Will she continue her revenge? Are the detectives safe?

At the same time, Detective Williams and her partner are in search of a sadist/rapist murderer that is on the prowl in Harlem. His targets have been middle aged women. Will the city explode in chaos before they can find him? While they are searching for him, Stacey escapes. Detective Williams can't seem to get the saying out of her head. Will she regret not killing Stacey when she had the chance? How long with the saying haunt her? Will she become the hunted again or will she be the hunter?

This story is one where it will pull you into a world of murder, suspense and craziness. It will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. You will need to see what will happen behind the next corner. This is a thriller that will take you on a journey into the mind of murderers. The characters will just pop off the pages. Find out who is safe? Who is the hunter and who is the hunted? Will the murderers be caught?

This is my second read by RG Miller. R.G is a grandfather of three grandchildren. He loves to pic up a mic and sing a few tunes here and there. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and is an avid reader. He enjoys listening to R&B and Rock music. Once again RG has created a story that is a page turner. You will lose track of time and not be able to put this story done. It is a must read! I highly suggest this story as I know you will love it as much as I have.

Stacey: The Twin is the second book in the psychological thriller by RG Miller. Having read book 1 I would definitely recommend that you read this series in order although it could be read as a standalone because the author does include some of the detail from the first book so you understand exactly what is going on. When book 1 finished we were left with the line ‘If you have to kill one, kill the other also’ and this line certainly carries over into this book. The story isn’t solely focused on Stacey McHill so we get to see Detective’s Isis Williams and Annette Toni back in action as they try and track down a sadistic rapist/murderer who is on the prowl in Harlem. Whilst they are busy trying to track this person down Stacey McHill escapes from the facility she was sent to and starts to get her revenge on the Detectives for killing her twin sister. Never has the line ‘if you kill one, kill the other also’ been so true and Detective Isis regrets her decision not to do just that when she had the chance.
Again I think it’s only fair to say that there is some graphic detail in this book when it comes to what the murderers do to their victims’ and like with book 1 I had to skip through some of this detail but I have to say I enjoyed this book a bit more than the first. It had some great twists in it and I definitely couldn’t guess what was going to happen. I am enjoying the relationship between Isis and Toni, they are the epitome of opposites attract! Toni definitely helps keep Isis’s temper in check! There was only one small part that I really didn’t like and maybe there should be some warnings with this book with regards to content especially as it involves animals.
The story left us on a bit of a cliff-hanger and I’m certainly looking forward to the final book and the conclusion to this series.
