Psychologies, the leading magazine for intelligent people, provides their inspirational yet rigorous approach to the perennial topic of focus, to include topics of mindfulness, clarity and productivity.
How are you today? We would hazard a guess that your answer will be along the lines of 'I'm so busy,' 'I feel so frazzled,' or 'what-am-I doing-even reading-this-book, I've got so much to do!'
However, we also suspect that you know in your heart of hearts, that life's not supposed to feel like this. You're not supposed to feel like you're in a hamster wheel that you can't get off; that life is a ‘whirlwind' or ‘one never-ending To Do list.' You know there has to be another way - but what is it? Well here it Real Focus.

This book contain 3 chapters. with 184pages inside. As a reader who want to improve my daily task. this book shows me how to get things done by prioritizing which task need to be done 1st by identifying it. I like the last part of this book that stated that it's all about systems that you need to figure out. Make that system as a habit and work on it. Another tip that i found out that useful for me is the "No Zero Day" which make sense at all.
However, as i read through this book. I realized that this book can be like a guidance for me which i read on as and when i need it since this book packed with valuable advice that helps me to sharpen more my focus on the project that i would to do. Hopefully this will cultivate a good ones and can make a huge difference to my life.
If you're looking for a book that help you to change your unwanted habit that you feel wasted. This book might be the right one for you to read. Am not endorsing but i'm just make a suggestion on it. :)
This is a small book full of lots of useful advice to help you sort out your life. If you feel overwhelmed by all the things you have to fit into your day both at home and at work then you could find useful tips here to simplify your life. Busyness seems to be the new black these days and it just isn't fashionable to say that you are not busy. But are we busy just for the sake of it? Do we clutter up our lives with lots of easy tasks so that we can say we're busy to avoid doing the things which really matter to us?
The book touches on subjects such as mindfulness - being here in the present - not thinking about what you have to do next while you're doing the current task. The 80/20 rules is also covered briefly - where 80% of the reward comes from 20% of the tasks. There are many hints and tips for overcoming procrastination and getting your to do list into order as well.
I found this an interesting book and it really does encourage you to think about how you spend your time and how you can change your life so that you spend more time doing what matters to you. I liked the case studies of people who have changed their lives round so that they get more pleasure out of what they do and how they managed to get off what felt like a treadmill which was going faster and faster. I think the only criticism I would make of this book is that it doesn't include a further reading list though there are plenty of other books and authors mentioned in the text.
The first part of the book pretty boring when it focuses only to point out the reasons why we're pretty busy but still could not succeed. Almost the first chapter it there is nothing interesting at all. But to the last chapter, it is pretty or when giving the solution to address our busy status. The end of each chapter always have the mirror and specific examples but it is not conclusive enough and also yet to come. What I like the most in this book is the first part there are always little test post to help us know if I'm in the group.
This little book has everything that I know already but did not do or did not do well. The layout of the contents made so much more sense than the fuzzy uncatalogued facts that whirled around in my brain !
1. How focused are u? 2. Why do you lack focus? 3. How can u become more focused?
Written in simple language and not overwhelming me with jargon, this is a good practical primer. It's a guide to the practical actions and an elucidation of the emotional process we go through to get focused.
Reads like a collection of magazine articles stuffed together and disguised as a real book. Recycled snippets of advice from genuine experts, of no value on its own. Further, it is clearly written for the audience of women's magazines and assumes the reader to fit into a single narrow profile of someone who is a regular reader of Good Housekeeping. For the rest of us, annoying and worthless.
An easy read and like with most self help books, which tend to give the same guidance, I have retained some advice and am hoping that it'll all add up to shift away from unhelpful habits.
"من خلال الوعي التام، ستدرك أنه لا حاجة !لى استعجال اللحظة التالية، فهي ستأتي من تلقاء نفسه، و على الأرجح ف!نك ستحقق المزيد من ال!نجازات عن طريق التركيز على ما يحث الأن."
I enjoyed this book "Real Focus" and I can't deny that concentration plays an important part to one's achievements. It is so true that when one concentrates on something, that focus is able to lead to accomplishment and originality. This book provides some tips on focus on goals for one person to acquire their objectives and enjoy their lives. Overall, I can understand what the authors were aiming to deliver throughout this little guide.
