I'm heartbroken...

That being said I still hold on hope this was the worse the series has come to, and that Daniel's book makes me forget this one. Please let that be true! *keeping my fingers crossed*

In the fourth Maverick installment, we learn more about Billionaire Maverick Evan. Previously, we've learned in other stories that Evan and his wife Whitney, were desperately trying to conceive, but Whitney kept having miscarriages. Whitney's sister, Paige (who always seemed like an interloper), was always at every Maverick event, and Evan was always looking at Paige with longing. At the end of the last book, the reader finds out that Whitney has lied about all 3 of her miscarriages. She was never pregnant, and she never intended to become pregnant. She had her tubes tied without telling Evan.
In this book, the authors start off with Evan reeling from the fallout of his marriage. He has disappeared off to Europe, and returns just in time for fellow Maverick Will's wedding to Harper. Paige, for some unknown reason, is in attendance, and helps Evan cope with his loss. Paige has been in love with Evan since their college days (apparently, they were close friends), and funnily enough, Evan has been in love with Paige, but because of his past, feels that he is not the best man for her, so he chose her sister instead.
Evan was raised by Susan and Bob when his mother up and left him alone with his abusive, alcoholic father. He was their foster son, and because everyone he loved betrayed him, his wife included, Evan spends most of the book being in love with Paige, but doing very little about it.
When an episode of a Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous type show airs, with Evan as one of the featured Rich and Famous, he gets the shock of his life when his long lost mother returns, with his twin siblings in tow.
This is where the story lost me. While the explanation for Theresa's (Evan's mother) disappearance made sense, her never seeking him out for years left me wondering why. And after his appearance on the show, she suddenly decides to look him up, left me wondering why now, and, how much does she want. Evan can't cope with his newfound family without Paige by his side, which again, begs the question, if she was such a good friend, why did he marry her self-absorbed, money hungry sister?
This story dragged on, and even when Evan and Paige finally did get together, those sex scenes left me feeling absolutely nothing.
The writing was basic, and there were a few sentences that made absolutely no sense. While some people might think this is a five star, oh so hot romance, and how forgiving yourself can heal you in life and love, I was less than impressed. And I've been feeling that way for a while now about most of Ms. Andre's books. They've become ho-hum, formulaic, mass produced time fillers.

So I loved this series ... and I read this a while ago but didn't write a review. Overall I'm very sad that I disliked this book so deeply and hope the following book is as good as the previous ones.

I didn't like the fact he was with the h's sister for 9 Years! He apparently liked Paige but thought he wasn't good enough so he ... married her sister?! How does that make sense? Why the sister? Why not anyone else?

I didn't like that Paige was standing on the sidelines watching the person she loves trying to have kids with her sister ... that's painful and yet when he's done with the sister they quickly have sex when I think she should've been the one making him suffer when he realised he wanted Paige. and SHE is the one perusing the relationship. Wtf? How the hell is she perusing it after he CHOSE her sister over her, stayed for 9 years with her, planned to spend the rest of his life with her and ONLY decided to go with Paige after the sister did horrible things.

I think the author's took s cop-out with and dismissed he conflict so that they can move on with the story. It was all so easy and everyone was expecting it, but it's still .... he was having sex and married to her sister for 9 years... But despite the romance I could've liked, i couldn't get the "icky" feeling out of my stomach. I think Paige deserved better than someone who was with her sister, not even for a few months, but married and tried to have kids. Why would he do that if a part of him didn't truly love Whitney?

I have 2 sisters and let me tell you it's already disgusting for me to think of kissing one of their exes let alone try to be with someone who was inside my sister (sorry for the graphics but yeah).

And he spent 9 years with her ... 9 YEARS of him having sex with her sister.

And then SHE'S the one perusing the relationship?!

And the fact that if the sister hadn't been a bitch he would've had his HEA with her.

IRRESISTIBLE IN LOVE is the fourth book in the Maverick Billionaires series by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully. This is Evan Collins and Paige Ryan’s story. Now these two have an interesting connection. Evan used to be married to Paige’s sister but when she deceives him, Evan doesn’t look back and leaves her. Now he’s got his eyes on her sister, Paige, believing her to be the sister that he should’ve married to begin with.

When I started to read this book, I really wasn’t sure how I felt about the conflict of this story. I’m not the biggest fan of a hero going after his ex-wife’s sister. It just doesn’t sit well with me. But I tried to look past that because Evan is a really nice guy and Paige is a sweetheart. As you can expect, Andre and Skully write pretty straight forward with this novel. They do a great job of setting up the conflict and then immediately building on the romance between Evan and Paige.

I did feel like it was almost too easy though. I don’t usually expect a lot of tension or heartbreak in Andre’s books so I can see that they were trying to do something different here with this one. However, if you’re going to have a conflict like this, I did kind of expect a little bit more angst from Evan.

After he left Paige’s sister, he seems perfectly fine. Almost too fine. And the first time he sees Paige again, he instantly thinks “I married the wrong sister.” Doesn’t that sound like instalove to you? So while I wasn’t the biggest fan of the premise of this book, I still enjoyed Evan and Paige together.

The romance moves at a good pace and by the end of the book, you really feel like Evan and Paige are meant to be together. There are some sweet and sexy moments thrown in and also some great group scenes with some of the other characters. So while initially I was a little skeptical, Andre and Skully did win me over.

I had to add this review here. I think she describes the heroine perfectly: She said she never saw a Mary Sue mary sueing so much. And I can't stop laughing.

Oh dear!? Another one with sisters double dipping. It's in the blurb. He's divorcing one sister and the heroine is going to be the other sister.
EWWWWWW. I really can't swallow this siblings romance.

And according to this reviewer the same ol same ol I'm not good enough for you so I'll choose to marry your "evil sister ". Rolling my eyes now

This was my first Maverick Billionaires book, kindly provided by the author in return for an honest review but it certainly won't be my last, I'll be catching up on the previous books ASAP.

This book grabbed me right from the start and sucked me in, even though I didn't know all the other characters previously it wasn't difficult to follow the story. It was really a rollercoaster ride of emotions, sweet, sad and angry at times. I just love how Bella Andre writes about family bonds and friendships.

I think I haven't read a book by Bella yet that disappointed me.

Finally! The WITCH is gone. I could not wait to see where Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully were going to bring Evan … how they were going to resolve the issue of Whitney. But, the way they brought this story together was incredible.

If you have read the four previous Maverick Billionaires stories, you know the hell that Evan went through during his marriage. His one light spot was Paige. She was his best friend, his salvation. Unfortunately, she is also his wife’s sister. As everything falls apart around him, he disappears to sort out his life only to come back to everyone a little disappointed but understanding. The, there’s Paige … the one person who should not be standing by his side, just waiting to read him the riot act for the way he treated his brother, Susan and Bob … and, her.

Paige would never leave Evan’s side … even to side with her sister. A dying promise has made her regret what she let Whitney get away with. But the lies, the way she deceived Evan have finally caught up with her and there is no way she will stand with her. Putting her big-girl panties on, Paige goes for what she wants without thinking twice about the one person who only ever put her down, made her feel guilty. It’s her time and she’s going to show Evan what true love is really all about.

But, of course, there’s a twist. A twist that has Even really doubting himself. Has him reliving his past and wondering just what he can offer the beautiful, loving, sweet Paige. It takes a trip down memory lane, an understanding Foster Family, a patient Paige and a toy to make him see just what he was refusing to see. As trust and forgiveness finally fill Evan’s heart, so does the love that he always had for Paige.

I think this may have been my favorite Maverick Billionaires story so far. It was fiery, intriguing. You had no idea which way Evan was going to turn. You knew that Paige would be right by his side as he tried to figure everything out. You knew that you would cheer when Whitney got her come-uppance. And, she did. The ending was emotional but perfect for this story. The HEA was to die for. Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully did a fantastic job of telling Evan and Paige’s story with compassion and love.

Billionaire Evan Collins is newly separated and going through divorce proceedings, having found out his wife has been telling massive lies to him for quite a bit of time, lies that caused emotional pain, add in his birth mother popping up with , and his plate is quite full. But the key thing that has him squirming the unexpected desire he is feeling for his sister-in-law and friend Paige.

Ack I don’t know how I feel about this book, for some damn reason, as I read I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that This seriously put me off the romance and the story.

I also found myself annoyed by the fact it was Paige throughout the book fighting for her and Evan, he finally realises she’s more than a friend to him, but goodness, his indecisiveness and constant statement that anything between them was a bad idea, had me rolling my eyes, especially as the statement would frequently come prior to or after he had kissed her.

Certainly not what I was expecting from Bella Andre and it has me hesitating big time when it comes trying any of the other books in the series.

It is a turn of bad luck that made me get and read this book. I picked it up randomly, without looking into it. If I had, I would have remembered that I had read two books in this series and that I didn't like them much. The same happened with this one unfortunately.

My main issue is with Paige. It's the first time I read about a Mary Sue character mary-sueing this much. She was overly patient, always had the right words to say using her psychologist magic skill, was always so kind to everyone, was so beautiful without knowing it, sacrificed her own happiness for a bad sister all those years, was so pure. She was so perfect that noone found it weird to push the sister of the future ex-wife onto the husband. This perfectness bled unto the other conflicts that arised in the book, with them being so neatly dealed thanks to her.

My second issue was with Evan push and pull with Paige. One minute he was chasing her, the next he was running. But Paige was soooo patient she wasn't even getting mad. I mean, she didn't even got mad when he chose her sister, because of her beautiful and superficial looks, over her all those years ago.

Irresistible In Love is the fourth book in the Maverick Billionaires series by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully.

Evan Collins has intrigued me from the first book in series. I never understood why he put up with the antics of his wife, Whitney. She is rude and selfish and would say horrendous comments to everyone around her. Irresistible In Love opens with Evan uncovering betrayals and finally divorcing her. His hurt is raw and he's bitter.

Paige Ryan is Evan's best friend and sister in law. She introduced Evan to Whitney nine years ago and has remained close with him ever since. They never crossed the line inappropriately but remained close. Once Whitney's lies surfaced, Paige supported Evan as he worked to get through it.

The authors then provided a journey to include hurt, betrayal, restoration, friendship, trust, forgiveness, preservation and love. They also filled in the backdrop well with Evan's history as a secondary storyline. I wasn't expecting to have those layers revealed and peeled, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Additionally, the authors tackled the tough topic of domestic violence, highlighting that it's not always the poor or dirty that are abusive but can realistically be the middle or upper class neighbor next door.

I really like Evan and Paige; however, their journey is not my favorite one. I could have done without the first wife and the sister connection. It was, however, written and developed well.

True to form with the series, the bond of family is the underlying current and strength throughout the storyline. The support of all of the Mavericks shines through, allowing us to see the continued development for all of our past and present favorites.

Thankfully the authors provided teasers for what's next in Daniel's book, Wild In Love, and I can't wait.

When I normally do a review, I complete it on my phone. With this book, I had to boot up my laptop.

I'm going to get right into it...so are we not going to talk about the cheating that took place? When did cheating become "cute" or "ok"? Is it ok because Paige was always there? Evan is still married!

Lets talk about the manipulation that Paige did to Evan when he got back from Europe. The man just found out some horrible news about his soon to be ex-wife and Paige makes it about her by flipping the situation around to put the idea that Evan abandoned her and his family *side eye*. HELL NO and F*CK THAT! This is not about you, Paige! His family totally understood why he left. Could he have communicated more? Sure, but the man just found out some really bad news. Of course he wanted to get away and get himself together. To make him feel bad about what he thought was best for him at that moment in his life made me not like Paige. After that, she turned me off and that was within the first 3 or 4 chapters of the book.

Within a week after his return from Europe, Even finds out that he has twin siblings and his biological mother basically stay down the street from him. Evan flies his family and Paige to Chicago so that his siblings and biological mother can meet Susan and Bob. Susan basically manipulates Evan to have Paige stay at the hotel with him. They end up having sex and she reveals that she is in love with him and has been in love with him since they met, 10 years ago. Are they forgetting he is still married? They can't wait until the divorce is final? Paige has stated that her sister has never cheated on Evan but she does like the company of men. But I guess with this situation, it's ok for Evan to cheat *EYE ROLL*.

Throughout the book Evan fights his feelings for Paige. He is confused, mad, sad and most of all, has trust issues. Paige is a psychologist by trade. Professionally, due to her relationship with Even, she should have immediately removed herself from the situation and referred Evan to a colleague. I also believe that Paige putting her personal feelings in the way was not just a bad idea but it was selfish. Paige claims to be all about family and healing but she continues to put her feelings in the way so that she can pursue Evan. A month is way too soon and Paige should have backed off and waited for Evan to properly get himself together so that they could build a positive relationship together that they both deserved. If she waited 10 years, then she could have waited for a little while longer.

He forgave his mother after a month she returned in his life. ONE. MONTH.

I can't with this book.

As I've stated in another review, book 3 was the best to me. I hope that I will not be this disappointed when it comes to book 5. I read that book 5 will not come out until March of 2018. Oh, the book is not 400 pages as iBooks states, it's 257.

This book is so terrible that I feel like laughing. Hard. The events that happened in the book were handled, executed in a way that make me want to wish this book into a state of non-existence.

The bit about Evan and Theresa (I refuse to call that woman his mother) made me cried buckets because no child deserved to be left to a monster by someone he trusted. Because of this event, Evan feared not being good enough, like what happened traumatized him. So, the fact that everyone was pushing him to forgive Theresa makes me so mad. And when he just magically forgave her in the span of a month? I just about lost it. Mind you, Theresa left her, and it has been 25 YEARS.

And don’t get me started on Paige. She’s the Mary Sue of all the Mary Sues. Like if there’s a queen kf Mary Sues then she should definitely take the part. We cannot go one chapter without her kindness, sweetness, sugariness being highlighted over and over and over again. Okay, we get it, author. She’s AN ANGEL OKAY WE GET IT. NO ONE COMPARES TO PAIGE. She’s the angel, Whitney is DEVIL PERSONIFIED. We get IT.

But what angered me the most? Yeah you guessed it. The fact that the Hero didn’t even have to fight for her at all. He could simply summon her and she would magically slip on his dick. The fact that she’s so EAGER to get in his bed was so embarrassing for me to watch, I almost agreed on Whitney’s assessment of her being a pathetic puppy. Because she was, pathetic. Half of the book I was screaming at her to HAVE SOME PRIDE AND MAKE HIM WORK FOR IT. Girl you deserved better than that!

Let’s face it. She was his second choice. And I’m pretty pissed that fact was glossed over as if it’s nothing. Your man was warming your sister’s bed for nine years, Paige.... If Whitney didn’t mess up epically, he would have been with her still. You’re quite literally, not special Paige! Also, I’d like to add, the fact that they had sex when he was still married doesn’t sit well for me—I don’t care that Whitney’s an asshole. It just feels wrong. It makes me wonder if Paige just wants to get back at her sister, lol.

So yeah once again, the man has it easy. Literally when will I find a book where the man has to actually work for it?

P.S. Anyway just because I criticized Paige doesn’t mean I’m Team Evan lol. He can rot.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW

3.5 STARS

I’m a big-time fan of Bella Andre’s and her audiobooks, so when Irresistible in Love finally came out in audio, I couldn’t wait to listen to it! Especially since it seemed a little more angsty than her other books – the hero gets a divorce and falls in love with his soon-to-be ex-sister-in-law. A total mess, right? I was excited to see how Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully would manage to play this out. And while it wasn’t quite what I expected, it was still a worthwhile listen. Fans of the previous Maverick Billionaires audiobooks will definitely want to give Irresistible in Love a listen!

Paige Ryan has loved Evan Collins since she met him almost ten years ago. But Evan loved her sister back then, so she sat on the sidelines and watched them get married and have the life she wished she could have had. But when Evan’s marriage comes crumbling down, Paige puts aside her feelings for Evan and is there for him as one of his closest friends.

When the truth about what his wife did comes to light, Evan has no clue how he could’ve been blindsided by Whitney’s lies over the years. He realizes he made a mistake in trusting Whitney… and marrying the wrong sister. Because all he can think about now is Paige and how she has always been there for him when he needed her most. Can Evan prove to Paige that she’s the woman who was always meant for him?

I had a great time listening to Irresistible in Love – I always do with an audiobook narrated by Eva Kaminsky! Paige and Evan’s story was a little frustrating, a touch sweet, and very heartwarming. It wasn’t hard for me to believe in Evan’s love for Paige, but I didn’t like that he never saw her that way in the nine years they’ve known each other. Paige seemed too picture perfect in my eyes – she really had no flaws except for loving a man who was married to her sister. But aside from all the dramatics, this was still an enjoyable listen. Not too angsty, not too dramatic, but just a sweet romance that you can expect from Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully.

Feeling frustrated and disappointed. I knew I should not have read this book due to the fact Paige was Whitney's sister. I hate reading books where they date siblings of exes. I decided to give it a try because I've loved everything I've read by Bella Andre. What I didn't realize going into this book was that Evan crushed on Paige since college not realizing Paige was crazy about him. He thought he didn't deserve Paige because she was too good for him. Ok I guess but then why date her sister. Let's say Paige found love with another man he would always see them together knowing he had feelings for her. Why torture yourself like that? Paige did have feelings for him and although she did date it was seldom.
If I were Paige I could not have been with Evan. 1. He passed you over 9 years ago for your sister.(she didn't know he liked her but didn't feel worthy.) I'd still feel rejected. 2. He was married and slept with your sister. What if they would have had a child together or Whitney not confess her fake miscarriages. He'd still be with her trying to knock her up.
I thought if I skipped the book I might miss something important for the next book in the series but I wouldn't have. Nothing that probably would not have been recapped at the beginning of the book to explain the maverick group. So if you're not into dating your ex's siblings you can skip this one and wait for Daniel's. I'm hoping that the new supporting characters get books as well. Gideon, Tony, Lyssa, and Kelsey all need HEA's as well.

**still no WOW**

This time around, the story has serious development issues. SERIOUS. There is this thing that happens in this book that is LIFE ALTERING. I'm using caps because it is HUGE. Especially because of The Maverick men's background/past and it was just put into the story like an every day occurrence. THIS particular conflict should have been explosive and gut-wrenching. It was neither. I won't lie and tell you that a lot of the story didn't tug at my heart, because it did, but it wasn't enough. I can't explain it without telling you details that would ruin the story for you when you read it ....

This series has bewildered me since Book 2. I am a HUGE fan of all things Jasmine Haynes/Jennifer Skully. I've read practically everything that woman has written and been highly impressed every single time . I just cannot reconcile these books with the rest of her writings. I am baffled ....

Evan and Paige... 2.5 stars...

Was so looking forward to Evan's story, but was sadly disappointed. With me being a mother myself, I just couldn't get passed the fact that Theresa left her TEN YEAR OLD SON, who was being beaten and abused repeatedly - to safe the twins she was carrying? Makes me mad just thinking about it... It doesn't matter how screwed up you are upstairs... Your son depended on you!!!

The worst part was that Evan forgave her, IN ONE MONTH... after Theresa took 25 YEARS to make contact with him? Ridiculous...

With regards to the love story... I’m not the biggest fan of a hero going after his ex-wife’s sister. It just doesn’t sit well with me...no matter the circumstances, and it all happened just too easy. No angst, no conflict...and no chemistry...

I expected so much more from this story...

I waited a long time for the (the maverick billonaires,4).
and with so many things,it did not meet the expectations.
I found it rather boring, the fun came from Jeremy and the other
mavericks.what woman waits 9 years to get noticed by her brother in law.
and Evan,he was in the other books more interresting than in his own novel.

Evan and Paige have been friends since college. When Paige’s sister, Whitney, blew into town for a weekend, he chose her. And has regretted it ever since. However, he was determined to make it work and hung on for 9 years. When the depths of Whitney’s betrayals are revealed, he finally divorces her.

Evan kept Paige as his best friend even after he married Whitney. They still spent a great deal of time discussing their work, books, movies, etc. Because both their parents are gone, Paige was always included in the Mavericks’ family get togethers.

Paige is a psychologist. While she seems to be good at her job, she wasn’t able to use this in her personal life. Her sister is an egocentric sociopath and Paige kept letting her treat her like a piece of crap she scraped off the bottom of her shoe.

The appearance of Theresa and the twins, after 25 years, felt like a bit much. Yes, Evan craved a blood connection to someone, like Daniel and Lyssa, but why? Bob, Susan, the Mavericks and Lyssa loved and treated him better than anyone else in his life, except for Paige of course.

A big chunk of this story is reading about Evan not feeling good enough for Paige so therefore not acting on the love he feels for her. Yet, he can’t get through any difficult situation without her by his side, helping him process and decompress.

I have loved this series so far, but I have to say, this one fell a little short for me. However, not enough to keep me from looking forward to Daniel’s story!

What an emotional ride! Heartache, Betrayal, Deception, then finally Restoration. Finally Paige gets the love she deserves!!! After standing on the sidelines for nine years watching her sister with the man she loves, Evan realizes he chose the wrong sister. Evan has suffered Whitney's horrible behavior for years and when she finally crosses an unforgivable line, he begins to see that he has loved Paige for a long time and sets about to win her for good...much to Whitney's displeasure. We get to see our Mavericks band together once again to support each other. Love this series. Can't wait to see Daniel's story.

This author writes amazing romances - but unfortunately this one didn’t do it for me. I’ve read sister / men romances before which made sense and I understood the hero and situation but this one was one of the worst because it’s a HUGE DEAL for someone to choose your sister, marry her for 9 years and yet in this book it was glossed over as if it really isn’t a big deal.

I didn’t like that he chose Whitney, even though he loved Paige. If he wasn’t good enough for Paige, why’s he good enough for Whitney? I didn’t like that didn’t feel like he’s good enough for Whitney, ok whatever, but to CHPOSE SISTER. I didn’t like that he fell for her beauty and that was a big reason.

I didn’t like that he ended up married to her (because that means he loved her - not maybe as much as he claims he loved Paige, but he still loved her). I didn’t like that he only left Whitney because he found out she was lying to him. I didn’t like that the ONLY REASON Paige and him had an HEA is cause he stopped loving the sis cause she did something wrong.

This means, if Whitney was nice, they would’ve had kids together and had their HEA. And I hate it when an H ends up with an h ONLY cause the OW did something horrible that forces them to stop loving them. He would’ve loved and stayed with Whitney.

In the end, I didn’t believe Paige was his first choice despite what the authors were trying to do here. Maybe NOW that he sees the ugly side to Whitney, he sees Paige as first choice. But actions speak louder. He ONLY starts speaking about how attracted he is / thinks about Paige after he finds out about his wife’s betrayal. It was so sudden but all after the wife’s betrayal. After the wife’s betrayal, suddenly he can’t be with her in the room, he’s too attracted to her he can’t handle it. You’re telling me 9 years passed on fine and suddenly now he’s crazy about her ? Lol

But if he loved Paige, how can he have sex with her sister? Marry her? Have no issues with seeing Paige date other men?

I would’ve liked this book more if they were best friends and only recognised that they’re MORE after they spend time together after the divorce. The whole he’s loved her since day 1 and she loved him was a horrible plot twist. She’s always loved him but he only realized he married the wrong sis after the wife’s betrayal? Why does she have to love him since day one but he realized he loves her after his first choice messes up?

When Paige discusses their part and how she had feelings for Evan:

“Then one night, Whitney blew into town for a visit. And as soon as Evan saw her sister, Paige had become all but invisible. But she’d always wondered: Would he eventually have fallen for her, his friend and confidante, if he’d never met Whitney?”

This is what I mean by he chose Whitney. He found her so beautiful etc and CHOSE her. The fact the h also agrees that he might have been with her if he wasn’t WOWd by her sister. Yes, in the end he may love Paige more because she ended up being a good person, but it’s not real love. It’s love by default because the person you chose to love turned out to be a bad person. If Paige was his ONE, he would’ve been wow’d by her not her sister

And if you’re expecting this to cause some angst and drama, it doesn’t. Everyone is chilled about it and Paige in fact sees it as an opportunity to make Evan hers now that he’s done with her sister.

So in the end ... I just felt sad cause Paige definitely didn’t have the love the other women had in this series 🥺 she was second choice and the book didn’t manage to convince me otherwise

I've wanted Paige and Evan together since we met the Mavericks in the very first book. I knew that Whitney, who is Evan's wife and Paige's sister was the wrong woman for him, as did pretty much every other person in his life. I just didn't know how far Whitney had gone and would go to try and keep Evan. I'm not really sure why I was surprised at the lengths Whitney would go to keep Evan, but I have to say I can happily continue to hate her without feeling bad about it at all.

Paige and Evan are absolutely soulmates and have been from the word go. I really think part of the reason I love them so much together is because they started out as friends first and then moved on to lovers. Yes Paige had been in love with Evan for years, and I think deep down Evan had always loved Paige as more than just a friend. I loved that Paige was always there for Evan as a sounding board and she was every bit as much a member of the Mavericks clan as any of the other wives or girlfriends of the other Mavericks, in a way even Whitney never was.

I loved that even before Evan admitted his feelings about Paige to himself or anyone else, he always made sure she stayed in his life. She has always seemed to be the first person he went to when he had problems or just needed to talk. Again them being friends first only seemed to make their relationship stronger when they took it to that next level. I'd always felt a connection between these two, but once they finally decided to give into that attraction, there was no holding back. I loved they couldn't seemed to keep their hands off one another and how supportive the entire Maverick family was of their relationship. Yes there were bumps in the road, especially from vindictive bitch Whitney, but I loved how Evan and Paige both stepped up to make their relationship a priority.

Irresistible In Love might just be my favorite book in the Maverick Billionaires series. We got to spend time with all the members of the Maverick clan and got to finally see Evan and Paige find their happily ever after. I read this book in one sitting, which is pretty unusual for me most of the time as life likes to get in the way of my reading time. However, I could not put this book down and I wanted to start re-reading it as soon as I read the last page.

IRRESITIBLE IN LOVE is the fourth book in the Maverick Billionaires series by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully.

Okay, I have to admit that Bella Andre is one of my favorite authors for sweet romance, drool-worthy men and strong women. She became one of my top authors with the Sullivan family and has firmly cemented her place in my top 5 with these hunky Maverick Billionaires. I’ve loved each one of them and really can’t decide which one is my favorite.

If you have read the series, it should come as no shock that Irresistible in Love would be Evan and Paige’s story. I have to be honest; I was wondering how Bella would handle this as their relationship could be considered a bit taboo. I wanted to see how it would play out, but I was worried that it might not be my favorite. Bella did not disappoint at all! Paige was so strong and I love how she helped Evan; understood what he was going through, and well, she was just great! It’s actually so perfect to read about a strong woman on International Women’s Day too. ☺

Evan, like all the other Mavericks, is handsome and a great man who has problems in his past. His problems came to a head adding even more depth to his character and to this story.

Irresistible in Love was such a great read- full of wonderful feels, lots of family time, and pure love. Go ahead and buy now. You won’t regret it.

And if you haven’t read the rest of the series- you are in for a treat and a great reading marathon! In fact, I think I’m going to go re-read the whole series right now!

One of my favourite authors and a DNF. I am crushed. I waited for this story for so long and I just couldn't get passed a mother who didn't come back for HER TEN YEAR OLD SON, who was being beaten repeatedly. I know she was also being abused and her mind was screwed up at the time because she had just found out she was pregnant with twins. She just couldn't bring two more children into that situation. BUT she ran and had her babies and they were seemingly raised as productive members of society. Do you mean to tell me that in all that time she couldn't have gone back for HER TEN YEAR OLD SON who was being mentally and physically abused, how could she even look at those children and not think, my God, I have to go get my other son. She obviously had some kind of help. Her other kids went to college. Hey, but at least she saved herself. The worst part was that Evan forgave her, IN ONE MONTH..... This was all my mind could handle. I didn't give a damn about anything else in the book. The romance between Evan and what's her name was as exciting as watching paint dry. I have read everything by Bella Andre and this didn't even sound like her other books. I am so disappointed and I just can't get that terrified lonely little boy out of my head. Who could make anything sexy and romantic out of this tragedy? No one that's who.

Glad this was a free read.
This author is usually better than this drivel but I’m not sure who of the two named authors had the biggest input in this story.
Sad and a big disappointment on so many levels after the enjoyable first three stories in this series.
Other reviews explain why but basically Evan is a weak douche who needs a crutch.
He enables Whitney’s behaviour and never pulled her up about being nasty and denigrating to Paige, her own sister. He has no real excuses for his thinking.
And Paige, who also enabled her younger sisters spoilt, selfish behaviour.
Paige was apparently not good enough for Evan the first time round, but is now happy with getting her sisters used, sloppy seconds of a husband.

Such an incredible story. Forgivenes from bad decisions are the center of Evan's story. His mistake in marrying a shallow woman. His mother's mistake many years ago. His mistake in being blinded by his wife... until the blinders were off and the truth came out and he was forced to take a look at what he had done. Paige is a saint. More patient than many would have been in her shoes. I loved them together so much

I don't know what happened but this didn't work. the two main characters were like angsty teenagers and everyone is like dude stop and they are like we can't. I won't give up on my maverick or Sullivan's tho!
