Rate this book
Charlotte Ritchie was traveling halfway across the world to attend her brother's wedding. She and a small group of family and friends planned on spending the week prior to the wedding volunteering at a rescue center in Kenya. Her new sister-in-law had grown up there with her missionary parents, and everyone thought it was the perfect way to celebrate the event.Falling in love might not have been on Charlotte's to-do list that week, but as we all know, life doesn't always turn out the way we plan. She would slip briskly into an intimacy from which she'd never recover. Falling in love would be the easy part.It was leaving the man of her dreams behind that would be nearly impossible.

California's Calling is the third book in the Hunt Family Series. It is a sweet natured, contemporary romantic drama, centered on the Hunt family.

Some of the characters carry over into this one. It focuses on Charlotte Ritchie and William 'Cub' Stephens. A chance meeting at the charity in Nairobi, Africa, run by Rachel Stephen's parents, changes the lives of all involved. They really immersed themselves in the work, the people, and the camaraderie.

This face-paced drama takes place on two continents. The chemistry between two young folks with heart-thumping awareness was truly gripping. Who would have ever thunk one week could change their lives so drastically?

Although this is a series, it is able to stand alone. If you plan to read the series, I would recommend that you start at the beginning to ensure you are exposed to as many details as possible about this huge family. There are a minimal number of spelling/grammar errors, but nothing that distracts from the captivating, clean, and wholesome read. Thankfully, it did conclude with a H.E.A.

I am so happy this was Charlotte’s HEA!! I liked her right from book one but wasn’t sure who would be perfect for her. Ahh the man that steals her heart is perfect for her! I loved this book I think this might be my favorite so far.

Again fantastic narration Kate is making each character unique at least to me she is.

In this little continuation of the Hunt family stories, we follow Charlotte as she goes to Kenya to attend her brother’s wedding. We also find out that she has been heartbroken for the past couple of years and doesn’t think love is in the cards for her because she feels so apathetic about it.

While there she meets her new sister-in-law Rachel’s brother Cub. Cub is pretty great. He’s confident and very settled with himself as a person. He’s giving and sensitive and funny and a carpenter. So he’s also kind of buff.

I loved their love story. This one wasn’t as quick as the last two stories in the way of insta-love. Yes they said they loved each other pretty fast, but they didn’t get married 2 weeks after meeting either.

I loved their banter and flirting. My favorite part was his proposal at the end because of their banter back and forth. It was so cute I won’t be forgetting Cub and Charlotte any time soon.

I have nearly finished this series of short stories and they really are great they way they tell about each family member.

This book is about Charlotte (logan’s sister) and Cub (Rachel’s Brother) Logan and Rachel have taken most of Logan’s family to Africa to help with a few projects that Rachel’s parents need help with and for Logan and Rachel’s wedding. This is where Charlotte meets Cub for the first time.

This book is full of funny, romantic clean reading and I really enjoyed it.

This is a sweet love story similar to its predecessors, and I enjoyed reading it, for the most part. Charlotte & Cub are likeable, and their banter is fun.

The instant love thing just isn't that believable. It also would have been nice to know what Cub was saying in Swahili.

(And while I'm not a grammar or vocab nazi, so it's not enough to make me stop reading them, there really is a surprising number of errors in these books)

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Charlotte Ritchie traveled to Africa for her brother’s wedding. She had sworn off boyfriends after a bad experience with a professor. While there, she meets the brother of her new sister in law, and falls for him, except he won’t leave Africa and she won’t leave California. Once she returns, he decides to move to California. A heartwarming story of love and sacrifices.

Meet me in LA.

Again it is so wonderful when we let God lead us to the one he chosen for us. It is amazing how the spirit will let us know that the attraction is there and it is right no matter how hard we may fight it. Another book to make the heart feel good, glad, happy, and so good in the end

Good!

This was a very sweet and playful romance. I loved the playfulness between Charlotte and Cub and how they were torn between being with each other and living apart and what happens next! Looking forward to the next book!

Really liked this one. Charlotte was so sweet and trying not to get her heart broken after getting heart broken. Cub was so cute, I loved him. He moved half away across the world for her, it was so romantic. They really needed to be together, meant to be

Fast happening romance, maybe a bit unrealistic but still fun. In this one the Hunt cousin finding love has a huge obstacle, they're in different continents. Clean romance, sweet moments, cute kids and dogs.

Enjoy the easy fun read. It doesn’t have a lot of depth so that’s why the ratings not higher. It’s clean and cute but not really any conflict or hardship

Another wonderful book in the Hunt series! I think this one was my favorite. The setting in Kenya was a nice change of pace, and oh, Cub...he was so easy to fall in love with! Charlotte had a "past", which made her human, and I loved that. The developing relationship was just a fun read, and the interaction between all the characters put a big smile on face. Sometimes I need a true romance like this to make my heart flutter! Oh, and we got a few more answers on a situation in the last book. Well done!
