As a Bracadyte Princess, Naura is forbidden to visit the surface. Until an explosion near her home in Aukrabah, leaves her injured and in the arms of a land walker named Anthony Vaughn. Recognizing him as her mate, Naura will stop at nothing to be with Tony. Even if it means her life.
Anthony Vaughn doesn't exist. Having his family tortured before his eyes, and his past erased by the CIA, he no longer has a soul. The last thing he wants or needs is the responsibility of protecting the beautifully naive Naura from a ruthless Government that wants her head. Danger and seduction become a constant companion in a world of intrigue, conspiracy and a deadly epidemic that threatens to destroy them all.

Recommend reading the books in order. This is not a serial, and it does have a happy ever after, but the story moves forward with a new hero and heroine in the next book.

Naura is book 2 in the Enigma series. Although I didn't like book 1, I was very interested in Tony's story and I'm so happy that I read it because I enjoyed it very much. Tony was a tortured soul after witnessing the death of his wife and child. I felt for him and while I didn't like how he was mean to Naura at times I totally understood why he pushed her away. Naura was sweet, naïve, and innocent to our world but knew that Tony was her mate and would do her best to have him. I loved how Tony was healed and how he finally became a man with a future. The story arc continues as they fear the virus may become airborne. I'm really looking forward to the next in this series.

OMG! Uncle Tony, Uncle Tony, UNCLE TONY! I freaking loved this grouchy, emotionally damaged, sexilicious piece of man meat to the moon and back! Yes, he is an ass. Yes, he was cruel to Naura at times. Yes, I wanted to nut punch him and then hug him (not necessarily in that order) for how he was acting but it's easy to understand why he does some of the things that he does because of his horrific past. He's not a horrible, unfeeling jerk. In fact, he's actually running scared from the intense feelings that a certain stubborn Bracadyte princess brings out in him. But when Tony finally stopped fighting his feelings for Naura.... *happy sigh* redemption is so sweet. Possessive, protective and absolutely fearless, Tony is totally alpha enough to hold his own with the Bracadytes.

Naura is a phenomenal heroine. She shows great depth of caring and patience while dealing with Tony. She knows literally, thanks to their bond, everything that he has witnessed and felt. She knows what the toll that trauma has taken on him. I don't think Ditter could have written a more perfect heroine for Tony, she was the light to his dark and her love was what pulled him back from the abyss. Most. Romantic. Thing. Ever. Another thing that I adored about Naura was that even though she was the sheltered (both by her parents and older brothers) youngest child of Bracadyte royalty she is not spoiled and selfish. She is beautiful both inside and out. I love how she stood up for herself and asserted her independence instead of hiding in the background where it is safe. She fought to help the people she loved.

Naura picks up where Enigma leaves off and continues with the same intensity. Full of action, intrigue and political machinations with a healthy dose of sexiness thrown in, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Now bring on Vaulcron and my man Zaureth!!!

Oh man! what can I really say about this book. It's hard to put into words how awesome Ditter's writing is. You get sucked back into the world of the Bracadytes and you won't be able to stop reading until the last page.
I loved being able to follow Naura and Tony and watch things blossom as you go along. Naura is such a sweet woman and Tony has been through so much he deserves to find happiness again.
the book is full of so much suspense, love, romance, and emotional roller coasters in general. Ditter has perfected the balance of it all in a way that will have you on the edge of your seat and making you want to snuggle up to someone at the same time.
Go out and pick up this series right away, it is worth every penny as well as all the hours you will be dead to society until you get through the books!

I just finished Ditter Kellen's newest release, Naura, and absolutely enjoyed it. The story had non-stop action and I couldn't put it down.

I know. I know. I know. My review of the first book in the series, Enigma, may have felt tepid, but it was not in truth. The story contained a good amount of sci-fi elements and the world building made it feel sluggish for me, but that is usually case with the first book in a new series. Now, as far as the sci-fi elements, they made it a bit harder for me to enjoy the story as much as I would have like because I just do not enjoy sci-fi. It was definitely no fault of Kellen's because the story was strong and I enjoyed everything else about it.

That said, diving into Naura's story was done so comfortably after the foundation of the series had been laid. We meet Naura and Tony in Enigma and you could feel the sparks between them almost immediately. Naura is the only female and youngest child of the Bracadyte king and queen. She accompanies her older brothers, Hauke and Vaulcron, on a their mission to the surface in Enigma, and she is injured and captured. Fortunately (or unfortunately ... depending on how you look at it *wink*), Naura is rescued by Abbie's emotionally damaged, ex-CIA agent uncle, Tony. He saves Naura by giving her some of his blood, and in doing so, a bond of heart (for Naura) and mind (for Tony) forms between them. Although Tony has a very strong physical attraction for Naura he does everything he can do to shut it down, by behaving like an abrasive tool whenever he is in Naura's presence. But to be fair, Tony is not totally at fault. The violent death of his wife and young son has left him irrevocably scarred. That is until one Bracadyte Princess dared to show him that there was more to life than just existing.

I have to be honest though. I hated the way Tony treated Naura at the beginning of the story. Sure he was hurting but his misdirected anger toward Naura made me grind my teeth. I didn't think there was anything redeemable about his character...until there was. And let me tell you, when the redemption occurred, it was like the sun breaking on a cloudy day. It only took a life threatening situation to make it happen! Silly man! Kellen did a wonderful job showing Tony's transition from closed off and surly to openly loving and caring toward Naura.

Beyond the character dynamics, there is still A LOT happening with the plot around the devastating virus that has broken out. Subterfuge is rampant and politicians are behaving badly to keep their duplicity under wraps.

Naura was sexy, intense, and suspenseful. I loved every minute of it. I am looking forward to where Kellen takes the series next and what happens when big brother Vaulcron takes a dip in the shark tank.

I won this audiobook in a giveaway!

This story picks up right where What Lies Beneath ends. I loved Naura from the very first moment we are introduced to her. She is not only the baby but also the only girl in her family. She has been sheltered her entire life and the one time she is sent out in the human world she is kidnapped. Naura understands her limitations but it does not stop her from living. And one of those limitations is Uncle Tony. The two of them together is simply amazing.

Tony was introduced to us in the first book as Abby's uncle and he has been through a lot in his 42 years of life. He not only has lost seen them get murdered. He is what I like to call a tortured soul. I love a hero who has gone through life and is just trying to survive. Tony and enompasses that completely. He is wounded and he feels as though he does not deserve to be happy. He is content with going through life and waiting for it to end and that just breaks my heart. Naura understands that there is more to Tony than meets the eye. Even though he is grumpy and cranky does not mean that he does not deserve love.

This probably sounds awful but my favorite part was I don't know why Ditter Kellen tried to redeem him but at every turn he kept showing us what a worthless father and person he is. Like the wonderful Maya Angelou quote says, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." and oh did I believe Henry the very first time he opened his mouth. I don't know what the repercussions are going to be but at this point in time I'm happy.

The world of Aukrabah, home of the Bracadytes continues to build.

In Book 2 of the Enigma Series we hear Princess Naura (Hauke's Sister) and Tony's (Abbie's Uncle) Story. I wasn't sure about Naura and Tony getting together because at first Tony seemed like he'd be so much older than Naura, And he is, but mostly in years of life experience (in age she's about 30 yrs to his 42 years).

Tony is a broken man. His wife and child were tortured and killed before his very eyes and his guilt continues to poison his life and ability to get close to anyone. Naura KNOWS Tony is her mate and won't give up on him; even as hard as Tony fights the bond between them.

This book is filled with passion, love, pain, loss and almost any emotion you can imagine. The Bracadytes continue to search for a way to escape the lies the Human Government has spread that the Bracadytes are responsible for the deadly virus claiming the human lives in epic proportions. When, in fact, the original short-lived strain originating from the venom in the Bracadytes' barbs only mutated into an epidemic when the CDC (center for disease control) tampered with the virus causing it to mutate.

Naura, is not one to sit by and do nothing and gets caught in the cross-fire more than once. Will Tony realize they are meant to be together before he loses her forever?

I love this series. If you love passion, romance, intrigue, action and exposure to a whole new world we can only dream about don't miss this continuing story of the Bracadytes as they fight to save their species from the deadly hands of humans.

"Love Truly Conquers All!"
What did you love best about Naura?
I loved Narua's stubborn and passionate struggle with both her heart and her chosen mate Tony. She laid her heart and her feelings at his feet shatter the consequences. She was bound and determined to shatter his defenses because no matter what, Tony never expected her or love to capture and transform his heart and life.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Naura was my favorite character because no matter what bubble she was placed in as the King's daughter, she always fought to stand out and be true to herself. When her heart awakened to Tony, nothing could stop her from going after him and hunting down his heart. She would have him understand the depth of her feelings and intentions toward him if nothing to show him how much he meant to her. He was worth everything to her no matter what his life had been like. He was her heart.

What about Johnny Mack’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed the amazing diversity and wonderful talent at performing such a wide array of characters. He really brought each to life in a truly incredible way. His voice is so rich and deep and so entertaining to listen to and enjoy.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Everyone is worthy of love since fighting it is a desperately losing battle.

Any additional comments?
This is a tremendous addition to this fantastic series!!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions .Each and every one of Ditter Kellens books that I have read has been great and this one is just as amazing. The world that the author has created is vivid and detailed with characters who are relateable and you cant help but fall into their story .Naura is the Bracadyte princess who after being injured is saved by the human uncle of her sister in law. Naura knows Anthony is her mate and she will do whatever it takes to be with him. Anthony is a man who has scars both inside and out he long ago lost his wife and child in a most horrific manner and doesn't want to let Naura get close .The government is hunting for all of them and their attempts to flush them out are getting vicious .With danger coming for them and passions on the rise this is one heck of a ride .I could not stop turning page after page . I absolutely loved this story and I highly recommend it to other paranormal lovers out there looking for that next amazing series to dive into. This is the second book in this series and I recommend reading all of the books in order to get the most enjoyment out of it .

Highly anticipated, well worth the wait!

After reading book 1 in this series, even though each is a standalone, I very much looked forward to book 2...and dang it, now book 3! Lol

This book is a scorching hot romantic suspense with a touch of Sci-fi for good measure. It's totally non-classic shifter romance with a new found species, Bracadyte, of part human, part vampire/reptilian/fish shifter alpha-type female who finds her mate in an unexpected way...and he's human. Only one thing, this human doesn't appear to share her raging desires.

Amidst running from the government over the Inocla virus, Naura and Tony may just make it on getting together after all...or will they? Death may keep them apart! Gah!

High on heat, high on suspense, masterfully written page turner!

Definitely a recommended read for PNR & shifter lovers.

A wonderful world being spun by a genius

OK I think it's safe to say I am hooked, I have read two books in the space of today, just about to start my third, these books are addictive and will pull you into their new world, each one so far has led you to the next without leaving you with that dreaded cliff hanger that we all hate,I love that's it's the same characters throughout but focusing on certain individuals each time. Well worth reading, see you after the next one,

My Reviews

Fixing a broken soul is harder than you think!

Naura is #02 of 09 in the Enigma Series by Ditter Kellen. All 9 are currently published with 05 of them being in audio. The author plans for the other 4 to be in audio by the end of the year. She also plans many more after #09 at this time. Which excites me to no end!

❤ Yay! ❤
Happy dance

Johnny Mack narrates the series, to include all future editions.

HEA with no cliffhanger!

These are connected by characters so I recommend reading the books in order. It is more enjoyable that way, but could be taken as standalones if you absolutely insist. There would be spoilers for the earlier ones if you start in the middle.

Length: 5 hrs and 43 mins

Warning: SEX!
Yes! Both in thoughts and actions, so those opposed should avoid.

Bracadyte Princess, Naura ❤ Anthony "Tony" Vaughn

“Every day until I draw my last breath”.

Naura

Naura is sister to Hauke from Book #01 which makes her a princess of the Bracadytes. She took blood from Tony in that first book, therefore linking her to him forever. During this exchange, she bared witness to his memories of the horrible way his wife and son were taken from him. It is against the Bracadyte law to take blood from humans as it is also a no-no to mate with one. Hauke and Abbie barely got around this, but Abbie has to forever stay in Aukrabah. Naura knows Tony will never agree to this, but wants Tony anyway!

“Naura differs from the rest of us. The gift she carries inside her is cemented in love and light. It cannot dwell in darkness.”

Tony

Anthony "Tony" Vaughn is Abbie's Uncle and an ex-CIA operative. His former employment is what has led to the demise of his family, his near non-existence in the human world, and some "connections" that always seem to know what is going on behind the scenes. Tony wants Naura but fights it at every turn because he feels broken beyond repair. He worries that karma is determined to make him pay for the deeds of his past.

“You’re not like me, Naura. You’re good and pure, and I’m all that is opposite of that. If I had met you before…before I became a monster, I would have given you everything that you deserve and more.”
-- Tony

Naura and Tony are joined by all the characters from Book #01 that, if you have been listening in order, should of grown to love. Braum's clever deceptions are to be commended. Gryke's bumbling of common human phrases are hysterical. Vaulcron's obsession with the "Great White Shark" reporter leaves much to look forward to. I can't wait until I can get to listen to their HEA stories!

“Chicken,” Naura taunted with a grin.
Gryke tilted his head to the side. “What is a chicken?”
A chuckle bubbled up inside her. “It is human slang for one who is afraid.”

The couple this time around face challenges on the personal level as well as the outside world that all seem to be stacked against them. There is more to be learned about the virus, as well as some secrets being kept by those that are trusted. Book #02 matches Book #01 in the action department and will not let you down.

He suddenly gripped her upper arms and gave her a slight shake. “Don’t you say that.” He shook her once more. “Ever. Do you hear me? You survive. No matter what, you have to survive.”
-- Tony

I am glad this series is going on my Read Along With Me list because I really want to comment without spoiling something. I got a lot to vent about Henry! I really don't like him! Look for it over there hopefully soon.

Breaking off the kiss, he stared into her amazing eyes. “I’ve never known love on this level before. It excites me and scares the hell out of me at the same time. I’m going to be overprotective, unbearable, and a royal pain in the ass. A lot. But I’ll cherish you until I draw my last breath.”
-- Tony

Love will come again
Tony may not be looking for love, really he doesn’t even want it, but when an injured beauty needs help he has no choice but to be there for her. These two had a long road to travel until they reach their HEA, but thanks to Naura’s refusal to lose her mate, and the author’s ability to keep us on the edge of our seats and engaged in the story, it’s an enjoyable ride. I’m looking forward to the next book by this author.

Neglected to comment and mark as read but I was just too excited to proceed to the next novel. I have just completed Gryke (Enigma #6) and cannot rave enough about this fantastic series. Once a character appears the storyline, they don't disappear. Tony (no spoilers), has continued to play an important role. So often SF scenarios are a strong male lead (alien, shapeshifter etc) and they are paired/mated with a human female. This book is the opposite and it is a really nice change.

Cheers

Similarly to book one, there are things I like about this storyline, but some of the execution annoys me = thus the average rating.

This installment in the series focuses on Naura and Tony. Evidently when a human willingly gives their blood to a Bracadyte, like Tony did to Naura in book one, it establishes a mental connection allowing them to communicate telepathically. Naura was able to see into the deep corners of troubled Tony's mind, and she started falling for him. She's a healer after all, and Tony's broken heart needs fixing. Tony is less than reluctant. He's just been hurt too much. Naura tries to win him over and it is just a matter of time before they admit their feelings for one another.

Aside from the romantic storyline, the epidemic of the virus associated with the Bracadytes from book one is STILL raging across the US. The government is still trying to track down Abbie, her kid, and any Bracadyte they can find. NO progress has been made on solving this problem, and it is still unresolved as of the end of this book - probably my biggest peeve about this series. At least make some progress!

I'm not sure I am going to continue with the series yet.

Continued love for the Enigma Series!! Only one small complaint: I feel that Naura should have been on the cover...don't get me wrong I love hot guys as much as the next girl but Naura's book should have had her on the cover!! Now that I have that out of the way :)
Naura is an awesome character...strong (in body and mind), smart, beautiful and not afraid to go after what she wants even if it is a land-walker! Although Tony is not just any land-walker he is strong, sexy as hell and knows what needs to be done and is willing to do it no matter the cost!

Wow!! Naura and Tony's story is so beautiful and loving. Tony had been through so much when he lost his family. But having Naura as his soul mate is what brought him back from that darkness. Naura gave him that push to be able to love again. Absolutely love this series!!! Thank you Ditter for creating beautiful stories💕

I loved this book! Ditter Kellen does not disappoint! Her story and character building are amazing! This is the story of Tony and Naura a hot and steamy couple who deserve to find happiness. It's full of emotional roller coasters, drama, suspense, love but most of all hot and steamy romance. While Tony heels her wounds, Naura heels his soul from his past to love again. This a definite must read for any Ditter Kellen fan so you need to grab a copy and find out if they get their HEA!

Naura
Naura is the sister of Hauke, from book 1 and he is Abbie’s badass uncle. Naura was just so sweet and naïve, I did adore her, because she truly did always have good intentions, but that did not always work out the way she wanted it to. She let her emotions and soft heart rule her, but honestly that is also what made her so endearing. She has a wonderful healing ability and attempts to heal him. This book was fast paced just like the first one and so much happens, kept me glued to the pages.

This was a safe read for me, neither were with others after they met. He does have a deceased spouse and I know that is a trigger for some of my reading peeps. She’s in the story through memories, but because of how and why she died, she comes up a bit. No ow or om drama. Naura’s bestie does help her make him see that he cares for her, but they do it because he is stubborn and needed a “gentle” nudge. He is all alpha for sure and she is a sweet and protected virgin. Shit really hits the fan with the government and a lot changes in the book. This series is so damn addicting.

My third read/listen from author Ditter Kellen. After reading the sixth book in this series I went back to start at the beginning of the series and read Enigma, now on to Naura, book 2 in the series. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it . Well-written romantic sci-fic/suspense, captivating & intriguing with well-developed characters. Naura by Ditter Kellen was a great second book in the Enigma series. Naura is forbidden to visit the surface because she's a Bracadyte Princess. But there is an explosion near her and she becomes injured. Anthony is there to help her. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Better and better. It took a while to like Tony, but eventually I did. And Naura is a hoot! I love when they come across human things and hear phrases they don’t understand and learning the meanings and ways of things.
Such unique stories, I can’t wait to get to the next!

Tony, Tony, Tony! How much guilt you carry. And Naura, how beautiful could a soul be? Those two sentences are my responses to Naura, book 2 in the Enigma series by talented Ditter Kellen. I am fast falling in love with this whole series as they are amazing, fresh and full of life.
The two main characters of this story is the remarkable Tony and the equally beautiful Nuara. As their story unfolds you literally live through the emotions and turmoil they are going through and cant wait to flip the next page to see what happens next. As usual we have sneak peaks of new characters, further character development of older characters and more secrets are revealed about the series. Loved this book!
