King has always lived his life the way he saw fit and didn’t care what anyone thought. Women were just a passing hobby to waste time and warm his bed. Being the VP of the Soldiers of Wrath Grit Chapter meant he had other responsibilities and priorities besides taking up with an old lady.
Then Clara came into town and something shifted in him. For the first time in his life, he felt possessive and territorial of a female. It felt damn good, but it also messed with his head, especially when she claims to want nothing more from him aside from the monster he’s packing behind his fly.
Clara won’t ever settle down, and no man will ever own her. Visiting a friend in Grit, she discovers King, a man who refuses to back down. All she wants is to have some fun and to save enough money to move onto the next town, the next adventure. Every time she tries to get away, King is there, giving her a reason to stay.
What will she do when King makes her realize she’s falling in love? Can she trust him with her heart? What happens when she does try to run?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
WOW! "King" was an in- your- face, gritty but frank and so, so hawt story!
King, the VP of the Sons of Wrath-Grit Chapter was something else!!!!!!!!!! The story begins with MC members, Grim and Reaper making a bet on how King would handled one of the club whores after he got his rocks off and King didn't like it one bit. But King is not like all the rest of the members, he just knows what he wants and when. At first glance at Clara, King is tracking her as prey and he is the caged predator. Did I say that right? I enjoyed the connection between brooding King and the wanderer, but sassy, Clara. They both were not into relationships but once they saw how sexually attracted to each other they were, well everything just fall into place along the few bumps in the road... lol
Payne, President of Sons of Wrath-Grit Chapter is in love with Vicky (club whore) and Clara's best friend but because he has many enemies in other MC in the area, so he can't claim her. URGHHH, now Payne was a class A - jerk because he won't let any of the other brothers touch her but he want claim her! What a flimsy excuse for the badass president and even his VP, King acknowledged it! Well she's pregnant now and they are distant and she hasn't told anyone including Clara! I can't wait for Payne to wake his arrogant a** up and come correct with Vicky and their baby!
King never expected to want or need an old lady, the club was filled with women who willingly gave their bodies for those in need. That is until he meets Clara, he becomes obsessed by the feisty beauty who is trying to keep him at a distance.
Clara has always gone from one place to another, drifting, never settling. King is pushing all her buttons wanting her to stay but can she trust him to do it?
This was a bit muddled, I didn't really understand why Clara is the way she is. Plus there was a whole separate thing with her best friend that left me confused. I wish it had been a bit longer filling in a few of the gaps.
Ill be honest... i hated the first few lines since King was getting his dick sucked by a club whore... talking about all the girls he gets.. yeah no.. i just hated it....
also after reading this book i was.. kinda let down in vicky and payne (read that book first) he treated her like a club whore in this book ugh but didn't let any other men touch her..
I didn't even mind group not sex between them and payne and vicky even if they didnt fuck or swap partnets... but i was disappointed.. and yeah no..
Clara is a free spirit and can't stay in one place for long. She has been drifting from place to place for a long time and she has finally come home to visit her friend Vicky. Vicky is in a 'relationship' with Payne president of the Soldiers of Wrath MC Grit Chapter and invites Clara to spend time with her. Her first night there she meets King the VP and they seem to hit it off, chemistry off the charts. Vicky makes Clara promise to stay for at least two weeks. And all Clara wants is to have a good time and move on, but she obviously didn't count on her feelings for King, and that King has decided that she is the one for him so he was not letting her go at all
This story was so good, but so short. I wanted more of Clara and King. But Sam and Jenika knows just how to pull you into a story and get you hooked from the start until finish.
Definitely on my top favorites.
Now I can't wait to read Vicky and Paine's story. Going to be AWESOME Thanks ladies for another awesome story :-)
Snow and Crescent have a lot of MC novels out there and they are all explosively hot !! This novel fits right in !! Hot alpha bikers and the strong women who love them !! Awesome must reads and I hope we get to read more of this MC Grit chapter as well.
I actually really liked this story even though there wasn't any great bloodshed or MC issue. I think it's nice to just have two people come together through circumstance. I can't wait for Payne's story!!!

Ebook
2.5
Summary: After meeting at a club party while she is visiting a friend, King and Clara find themselves extremely attracted to each other, despite his general reticence to open up to women and her refusal to settle down.
Stats: CR/MC, M/F, open door, part of a series but largely stands alone.
Reading Notes: This is short, and has all the developmental issues that short novellas/stories often do - little character development, confused backstories, and little romance. The majority of the connexion between the characters is physical chemistry, and the two really make no sense. The authors also had a little bit of an issue with allowing the FMC to be openly and enthusiastically interested in sex while also making sure it was clear that she really hadn’t had that much sex (and some other light but strange purity/slutshaming issues). There’s plenty of grammatical errors and word use problems, but it was entertaining enough. Honestly, I need to recognise that I just don't like novellas.
King and Clara's story is hot as hell. Clara has breezed into town for a quick pit stop to see her bestie, Vicki. Unbeknownst to her, when she meets King and they have one explosive encounter, he's not willing to let her go. Can she stay somewhere long enough to settle down?
This book was awesome, not just because we get to see King and Clara's story, but we get a good glimpse into Payne and Vicki's pending story.
So far, there's no real danger or actual MC related drama with this series, but I'm enjoying the stories surrounding the big and tuff guys and the women they love.
Bad boy sees girl, bad boy and girl are attracted to each other, they enter into a casual relationship then bad boy wants more, but girl is afraid. Some drama ensues :)
Ok I love the Grit Chapter more so then the original. I love how strong the woman are but at the same time Clara was getting on my last nerve. She had a double standard. It was ok for her to never settle and use whomever (King) but she jumped all over Pain for it. I get it she had reasons. One I didn't understand but it was hers not mine. I agreed with her on the Pain issue and loved that she had the balls to tell him but practice what you preach. King was everything I want in a male lead. He knows what he wants and was strong enough to go after it. He needs to figure out why Clara leaves before she tries to leave him. Again I really do like how independent the females are in this series. But be a Rosie the Riveter at work, with business and even some social scenes. Not with your alpha man. Of course this is just my opinion. Still this is a good book and worth reading. Now I can't wait for Pain's book.
This is the second book in the Soldiers of Wrath MC: Grit Chapter series. King is the Vice President of the Soldiers of Wrath MC in Grit. He never imagined himself settling down with an old lady until his brother, Beast found s girl. Clara doesn't like to stay in one place for too long never getting too attached to any one person. She's from Grit and comes back to visit her BFF, Vicky, the only person she cares about. Vicky is a club girl for the Soldiers of Wrath even though she only sleeps with the President, Payne. Vicky invites Clara to a party at the clubhouse and she meets King and the two of them have explosive sex that neither can forget. Can King convince Clara to stay in Grit ? Has Clara finally found someone worth sticking around for ? I can't wait to read Payne and Vicky's book !
Another one bites the dust! King was a super read I loved how he wanted Clara and once you've got the attention of this alpha your in for the run of your life. Very hot as alway I wouldn't think anything less. This book had me wanting more so much more! we have Clara's best friend she's a club girl and wow with the president of the MC going out of his way to have her but not claim her this is a story I can't wait to see laid out. I hope she gives him hell and makes him work hard to make right or even a great twist would be awesome. Two amazing authors working together another great addition to my collection. Must read but I always recommend reading the series so book 1 beast get stuck in you won't be disappointed. Hot, gritty, sexy alpha 5 stars.
This was better than book one, though I do agree with other readers that it was very fast paced and short, 88 pages on my Samsung NOOK tablet. For the length and price I would have preferred to just read about King and Clara, instead of reading about them and Payne and Vicky, because reading about two couples, you already know the book is going to end with one finished relationship and leave us hanging on the other relationship...
Despite all that it was an enjoyable read, Clara's character was very upfront. Even if she held back her feelings, a novelty in books nowadays, she wasn't a wilting wallflower and was loyal to her friend. King was your typical biker so not much to say about him. Payne and Vicky..he's a dick and she's fucking pathetic...enough said!
This is my favorite story written by Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent. Hard Core bike King takes one look at Clara and knows she is his. Clara is a strong independent woman who will not allow anyone to hold her down. She's one of my favorite female leads. She's strong, spunky, and doesn't take crap from anyone. This steamy, kinky, sexy book will leave you wet for more. I couldn't put it down from the very beginning to the stunning conclusion. It has MC, Alpha, crazy hot sex, love, friendship, and lots of action. It ticked off all my boxes. Looking forward to more in the awesome series from 2 of my favorite authors
King and Clara...HOT! King has no intentions settling down until he see's Clara. Clara is all for sex with King although she doesn't want anything more. She doesn't stay in one place for very long, she plans to stay in Grit for 2 weeks only. Over time, Clara realizes that she might want to see how it goes with King. Clara is involved in a accident, when she woke up she realizes she can't deny her feelings anymore. Clara and King are so good together, I loved them. Great book!! If you like HOT MC books but his one!!! Next I can't wait to read about Vicky and Payne.
Another hit by Sam Crescent and Jenika Snow! King and Clara are instantly physically atteacted to each other and fall into lust. Clara thinks it's a one time thing because she is only going to be around for while then she's off again. King on the other hand finds he wants more, he wants her as his Old Lady,in his bed and in his life forever. Can he convince Clara that what they have is good? Can he help her overcome her fears and put aside the wonderlust to take a chance on him? A short, lusty read but well worth it!
Wow King and Clara are hot. This is a fast paced love relationship between King and Clara. ut the story is well written that you don't even care. I would have liked to know who it was that Clara loved that wound up leaving that seemed to damage her and turn her off of settling down somewhere permenant. The secondry characters were well written and was a nice build up to what I assume to be a book about Vicky and Payne.
Clara likes to drift through life from one place to the next, not staying in one place too long. The only person she truly a cares about and checks in on regularly is her best friend Vicky. So when she comes into town to see Vicky and is invited to meet her at a party at the the MC clubhouse she goes. Not only is she thrilled to see her friend but she has caught the eye of the VP, King and now has a big biker ready to make her his.
Love the story and the biker characters, however their was some typos with the pronouns that were a inconvenience during the read. All in all good story but needs some improvement with editing. Also would love to see a story on Payne and Vicky soon along with Grim and Reaper
Omg....sexy hot goodness!!!!! Look what you get when you open your heart and take a risk.. Clara and King. Loved these two, sexy, loving, scary, fate... fantastic I can't wait for Vicky and payne's story Outstanding
Love this book! Love the romance between King and Clara, and so now can't wait for her beat friend Vicky and Payne's book, should be interesting to see how he goes with the surprise that's in store for him.
good book... but would have gave more stars if it was longer.. with two authors writing and paying as much as we do for these series they should be more than 100 pages..just saying for 3.99 or more sometimes it should at least be 200 pages or so
At times the writing was uneven and not up to these authors standards. The book jumped around a lot to me and was disjointed. I enjoyed the story but it wasn't the best effort.
