Well, there was actually a plot and I managed to follow it. I liked the short chapters because I'm still finding reading Spanish so difficult that I can only concentrate for a short period of time. It was good having the vocab at the bottom of each chapter. The text was so stripped-back that it was difficult to use the surrounding words to guess. There was quite a bit of colloquial language.

Not bad, considering what it is. It does a good job of introducing new vocabulary within the context of a story. This is not for beginners and it should be noted that the Spanish used is European (Castilian), obvious mainly with the vos/vosotros conjugations and, rarely, vocabulary.

Unfortunately, the story is not as well written as I would've hoped, but it is a good jumping off point for someone to begin more serious reading of books written in Spanish.

Nice

This is an interesting and relatively painless way of honing one's Spanish skills. The story wasn't bad, either. I need more books like this in my life because I am absolutely the worst ever at learning languages.

Fun Read

Easy enough to read but challenging too. Great little mystery with a little humor mixed in. Lots and lots of phrases and idioms in story, but many of them are common to Spain and not Latin America.

Great Easy Spanish Book

This is a great, readable book for people with limited Spanish. . . And it was actually entertaining with an interesting plot and characters. I highly recommend.
