About the author

Jessica Watson is a mom to five, four in her arms and one in her heart. After the loss of her infant daughter in 2007, Jessica left the corporate world behind and discovered her writing roots again.

Jessica's first children's book was released April 2016. "Soon" tells the heartwarming story of the journey of a preemie, inspired by Jessica's own NICU experience with her children. I love this sweet book with illustrations that will appeal to young children and help them understand what a preemie and their family go through in the NICU until the long awaited homecoming.

Soon is a lovely story that tells the story of a baby born too early. Speaking to children about prematurity, whether it's their own or a sibling, can be difficult, and Jessica Watson handles it with delicacy.
