Book 6 in the Aussie Sky Series. The Clements family, ex-circus stunt riders, are re-united in this final book of the series. Fears and failure are faced up to as forgiveness brings hope for the future.
Starre Clements loves working in animal rescue. When she is called out to rescue a horse caught in barbed wire, her past finally catches up with her. She needs to face her fears and learn to forgive if she is to know joy again.
Sky Clements has never come to terms with the fact her father abandoned her as a baby. Now Prince wants to reconnect with her, but how can she forgive him for years of empty promises? And how can she accept God's forgiveness if she doesn't? Sky knows she needs to forgive, but it will take a miracle.
At Camp Oaken miracles are waiting to happen as the whole Clements family reunite and discover God's amazing plan for their future.
Jenny lives in the country town of Gundagai with her husband Rob, four children and many pets. Jenny writes Australian stories which capture what it means to know God and live for him in a broken world. All Jenny’s stories have themes of hope and redemption. Several of her novels have been finalists in the CALEB awards for faith inspired writing. She completed a Diploma of Theology at Tahlee Bible College (where she met her husband, Rob) and is a qualified chaplain and experienced inspirational speaker. She loves to encourage others to understand God’s love, see His hand in their lives, and walk closer with Him each day.
Ok, I'm a sucker for a happy ending, so bear that in mind that bias. This is the finale to the series and its feature characters are Starre and Sky.
Sky has spent her entire life trying to find a way to winkle herself into the heart of her biological father, Prince Clements. Adopted by his brother Blaze, she knows who Prince is and sends him message after message about her achievements, striving to be the best she can just to win his affection. Although she loves her adoptive parents and know they love her, she finds it impossible to forgive Prince for his broken promises and his failure to respond to any of her overtures.
Little does she know that her efforts to contact Prince have been viewed by Paul SetonM, the brother of Prince's wife Rachel, as constant boasting and self-adulation. When they meet at Camp Oaken, Sky is instantly attracted to Paul but he is just as immediately antagonistic towards her.
Sky's aunt, Starre, meantimes has become a vet in animal rescue. If there's any miracle she wants in life, it's to find Regal Zion, the circus horse Prince sold to buy a motor bike. After so many years, it seems impossible. But then she's called to help a horse trapped in barbed wire. Its owner, a police officer, is in hospital and his partner hasn't cared for the horse. Starre goes to the hospital to interview the owner and find herself face to face with Chase, the son of the vicious circus owner Marcos - the man the Clements family left the circus to avoid.
The lies and deception of the past slowly start to be untangled. A story of true forgiveness and true love.
A precious Christian YA contemporary that finishes off a wonderful series strong 🥰
Forgiving Sky ties with Blaze in the Storm as my favourite novel of this six-book Aussie series. Perhaps inches ahead because of the beauty of this finale.
Brave and energetic yet secretly insecure (who isn’t? 😏), Sky has my heart forever. She holds to her faith despite unjust treatment and the fear she’s a disappointment to the earthly father she hardly knows. Her struggles, genuine heart, and courageousness hit home. In short, I adore her.
Bonnie, Blaze, the Clements family and extended cast come together for a God-charged, love-filled, and heart-tugging story. Get ready for heartbreak and heart-warmth all at once. Oh, and horses 🐴😍
Like most people, I don’t like goodbyes, especially after being with these characters for so long, but Jenny Glazebrook gives these fictional friends of mine a well-earned wrap up, and I can’t wait to reread the entire Aussie Sky Series yet again 😘
