Callie was knocked up and dumped, now she's headed to her best friends wedding on a remote island. Wade, the pilot taking her to this island, is a leopard shifter and scents her as his mate. The crash and learn to live with each other on a deserted island hoping for rescue.

That description sounds great and I really thought I would enjoy this. It started off pretty good and then steadily deteriorated. I don't know what it was but I couldn't get attached to either character. Their "playful" banter was so bad it made me cringe, so not really endearing. It just really didn't come together for me, at all.

1.5 Stars The Hero and Heroine were both very judgmental as they were sizing each other up and their attitudes annoyed me. However I DNF'd when during the flight the Hero asked the Heroine innocuous general questions about her best friend and why they chose an island destination for their wedding, did she like the fiance, etc. I was horrified when in response she started to spew private personal sexual details about the Bride and Groom that their first meeting involved a blowjob in a bathroom. OMG she disclosed this to a stranger who may have met, or might meet this couple, since he was the only Pilot flying to that island. Not my idea of a best friend and it just felt icky. DNF'd

Mix the beginning of "Cast Away", the central part of "The Blue Lagoon" and the final scenes of "Twilight" and you have this short romance story.

I adored this fast paced, quick romance. Callie is heading for a tropical island resort for her friend’s wedding. Trouble is, Callie isn’t feeling too excited. Her life has just taken a nose dive with a break up and some unexpected news that she’s still processing. To say that she’s not in the best of moods would be a vast understatement… in fact Callie is acting rather nasty to those around her, unlike her usual self. Now she’s discovered that the last leg of her travels means getting into a tiny plane that looks like it will fall apart over the ocean. No how, no way – even if the pilot is beyond sexy. Not gonna happen.

Wade has made the run from the airport to the island so many times he could do it in his sleep now. Yet this rude, spoiled rich chick is determined to not get to the resort if she has to ride on his plane. Customer’s always right… but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a bit of fun at her expense. Until he touched her and realized she was his mate. What?? How could his leopard think that this mean, rude woman could possibly be his forever mate? In answer, his leopard simply purred. That changed everything and Wade now has to figure out what to do next.

While in flight to the resort their plane’s engine catches on fire. Wade made a crash landing on a deserted island, saving their lives but putting them out of communication with the rest of the world. Left alone with only each other to depend on, Wade and Callie will soon discover that all is not as it seems. And leopards rarely are wrong about their mates.

Leopard Print Love is a delicious, quick read so to say much more would be giving away major plot moves. This is a fun, sexy story with a few surprising twists. Sometimes I simply want to read something that’s fun without complicated plot lines. I enjoyed this one and whenever you’re looking for something fun and funny and sexy to pass some time with – this story fits the bill perfectly.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. For ten dollars a month you get access to thousands of really great stories across all genre, and the authors get paid for you reading the story through to the 100% mark. It’s a win-win. Probably the best 10 bucks I spend a month.

Title: LEOPARD PRINT LOVE
Series: N/A
Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Grammar/editing: book received as an unedited ARC / errors excused
Received from: Aurora Woodlove (in exchange for an honest review)

This is a stand-alone, contemporary, paranormal romance novella.

At the beginning of this story, Callie comes across as a bitch. Is she really one or just having an exceptionally bad day? Well, she’s taking a trip on a plane. She’s dealing with the TSA (personally, my least favorite part of traveling), rude fellow travelers, scheduling errors, and a surprise puddle-jumper… and it’s about to get worse.

Since I speak fluent snark and sarcasm with a touch of bitch, I fell in love with Callie right from the beginning, but more so with Wade (though I had to cringe every time I read the name, since it’s the same as the ex-husband LOL). Then it was all about Wade and his unflagging dedication to Callie.

This is the first story I have read from J.M. Klaire. I hope it’s not my last!

Callie's trip to her friend's wedding has been a nightmare of epic portions. This is her fourth and last plane to get to the secluded island that is handling the wedding. She finally gets in the right area for boarding. Everybody has been trying to get her to check her luggage and she refuses because she knows her bag will join the other missing bags wherever they may be. The pilot shows up and she gets a look at the plane and refuses to ride in it. Her pilot tells her that this is the last flight until tomorrow when he and his plane will be back. She pushes aside her fears and boards the plane. As they start to ease into conversation, there is a bird strike and plane crashes on a deserted island. How long will it take before they get rescued? It's an out of the way small island. Luckily, it has the essentials: fresh water and food.

Absolutely loved this story. The first page had me hooked. Callie standing at the airport line up to check in and the problems she encounters trying to get to an island so she can be bridesmaid for her best friend. You will just laugh at some of the things she says and does. Callie really does not want to get on that dinky little plane. Plus you have Wade the pilot who is also a leopard shifter and he has just realized that Callie is his mate. Thank you to J M Klaire for the wonderful review copy. Highly Recommend this author and her books.

J.M. Klaire writes an amazingly believable tale. I got caught up in the interesting, original storyline with romance, drama and action. I was not disappointed about the way it flowed. The pacing was good and was realistic. Characters come alive in her vivid storytelling.

She was lucky to get stranded on a deserted tropical island with sexy Wade. He more than rocked her world. They saved each other. This amazing family is growing. J.M. Klaire writes consistently awesome tales. A great way to relax! It gets 5 stars!

This kept me entertained. It's a 4 star read for its type. I like books with a bit more depth and emotion, but I got this book in an anthology and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I didn't want this story to end. Which lead to the 4 stars. There is so much skimmed over and the epilogue comes shockingly quick and just ties things up with slightly more than a conversation. I like to experience the situations, not be told how they played out. But I would read more of this author's books...especially if they were full length.

Wade meets his fated mate in the airport, as she chews him out and tries to refuse to get onto his rickety airplane - the only way to get to her best friend's remote island wedding. The plane crashes and the two have to survive the elements, and each other, until they're rescued.

Callie wasn't really a lovable character at the beginning, but she becomes one in the end. I enjoyed how Wade had to save her and her baby and she saved him right back...

Leopard Print Love By J. M. Klaire
Callie, alone and pregnant at an airport, awaiting transport to a far-off Island for her BFF's wedding meets Wade, leopard shifter, fated mate and pilot to a bucket-of-bolts plane. A relationship is started after they crash on a deserted island and they have to learn to survive until they're rescued. This was a light, entertaining read.

When the bitter and disillusioned with men Callie, heads off to a remote island to be a bridesmaid at her best friends wedding, events mean she finds herself having to put her trust in Wade, the pilot of the plane taking her to her destination.
A gentle but lovely story about finding love in the most unexpected of places.

I found the story to be endearing.

Callie and Wade are both strong characters, Callie is jaded and has been hurt by men before. While Wade is kind and easy going, with one touch finds his forever mate in Callie.

They crash on a remote tropical island and they have to work together to survive.

I found some parts humorous and others serious, I wasn't bored reading it.

Cassie is usually in control , until a crash landing sends her into the arms of Wade. Something not common for her at all, but sometimes you just have to give in and hope for the best! Thought it was a fun read with a smooth plot.

You can find this novella in the Shifters in the Spring anthology.
I loved the beginning, started losing interest in the middle and the ending was just strange. It was a new to me author though and I would likely read more of their work.

An interesting story that was condensed to fit the time frame but worked quite well.
Not like the typical shifter stories I have read but I did enjoy it, being stranded on a desert island was very different and worked well.
First read in Alpha's Undone.

OMG, I loved this book!! Crashing on a deserted island with a leopard shifter? Much better than attending a wedding as a pregnant, single bridesmaid!
