Publisher's Note: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.
I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and from the first story I knew I wanted to write romance novels.
I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.
I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
I am a mom to an amazing boy. I live in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and family. I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them.
Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one. My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming). I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my e-reader, whom I’ve named Ruby. So many books at the touch of a button!
Also, Elizabeth Monvey is my pseudonym for writing steamy MM romance. LOVE is LOVE!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads~~
Having read the first story and enjoyed it, I was delighted to get to read more of Ms Carter's engaging series. And it was well worth the wait.
We get to see the stars of book one, in a peripheral role, although the incidents that led to their encounter undoubtedly still linger in the town of Destiny. The difficult line of legality in the club faced by best friends Givon and North is definitely tested in this book - but family, in whatever form takes precedence. We learn about their and Allison's pasts, and then they aim for a much better future. Their forays into a new relationship are definitely on the higher scale of hot. The plot is always in the foreground too, and the next book will be revealing on that front, given the epilogue.
True North is full of suspense, complex characters, romance and hot sex. The second installment in Carter’s Red Wolves Motorcycle Club series is better developed than book one while retaining all the best characteristics of the first book.
The opening scene is very compelling and it’s understandable that both men feel protective of Allison from the moment they find her. Givon and North’s friendship is interesting because they have so much in common and a lifelong close relationship even though they now find themselves on the opposite sides of the law. The entire situation creates an interesting dynamic on its own without adding the stress of them falling for the same woman. I understand completely why Allison finds them both so appealing.
I enjoyed this book and am diving right into book three.
I loved this sweet story. The relationship between Givon and North was one that all people should wish for. Unconditional friendship is such a GIFT.
Allison, while somewhat of a meek character, was a character that I grew to love. She was trying to figure out why she had ended up in between these two wonderful men.
The relationship that develops between the three characters is, in my mind, a very realistic one. I loved how each pair had their own relationship. It was not about the three of them figuring out how to work together because North and Givon ALREADY had a loving friendship.
As far as the mystery within the story - it was a good mystery, if not somewhat predictable. Even though I was able to guess some of the turns that this story, I am looking forward to the next story.

Oh, North and Givon! I really enjoyed this story. It was quite predictable, but none the less entertaining to read. I did find the similarities between book one and book two to be a bit annoying.. you know, girl running from someone, needing protection, the older men who have absolutely no problem sharing this woman they instantly fell in love with.
Other than that, the characters were great. I really liked their development and bantering through out the book as they added a third to their friendship and turned it into a relationship. The hot biker, good cop combo was interesting.
The naughty scenes were better in this book compared to the last book. I think I figured out what about them particularily bothered me... It's the language. The rest of the book is pretty clean language wise, but then in the bedroom there is some naughty terms tossed in with the sweet, not too sexy terms (like slit and juice, not sexy to me). However towards the end things seemed to come together and because a bit racier in terms of flow and it was much better to me.
I do hope the next relationship has some MM action or at least a variety on the damsel in distress and falling instantly for her heros plot.

A hot cop and a hot biker? Hot damn. This story manages to combine a well-constructed murder mystery with every woman’s fantasy threesome.
North and Givon grew up together, traumatised by their equally abusive fathers. As adults, even though North runs a Motorcycle Club and Givon is the town sheriff, the two remain the closest of FRIENDS. On a camping trip, they interrupt the murder of a young woman named Allison.
Can the two men keep Allison alive and will the three of them be able to make a life together?
From hitmen to drug running, this story OFFERS all sorts of intrigue. The awkward alliance between the Red Wolves bikers and the Sherrif’s department adds humour.
I’m not keen on instant, fated HEA stories, and I’m not entirely sure I like the two straight men and a girl storyline. I think this book would be much more believable (and hotter) with a true polyamorous threesome but this remains a simplistic straight girl’s fantasy. I’m also not entirely sold on the older men and young girl aspect of the relationship.
But maybe I’m thinking too hard. The sex is hot, the story is exciting and the author leaves ROOM for more books to follow.

North and Giv are best friends. You normally wouldn't think that strange except that they are on opposite sides of the law. This hasn't stopped them from becoming as close as brothers over the years. Their relationship will grow when Giv asks North to share his home. Allison runs right into their world as she has escaped from a nightmare. She has been hiding from her crazy ex who finds her and sells her into slavery. When she escapes they chase her down and shoot her. That is how North and Giv discover her when they are out camping. They save her and want to keep her. They bring her home to protect and help her heal. Oh and to share some pretty scorching hot moments. And I mean HOT. Now they just have to save her from the creeper that wants to hurt her and work out how to share their lives being the sheriff and MC leader.
I really loved the relationship that North and Giv shared and that it developed over so many years. For them it wasn't a matter of being loyal to the way they lived, but loyal to each other. That's how they could share Allison. No jealousy. Just an overwhelming desire for each to be happy. I so loved their story and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
