‘No Time to Pause’ is a debut novel by Pavithra Ramesh. It is a fiction about the life of a youngster who decides to stay away from her family.
The story revolves around the protagonist Pari.
She had been to various places from Chennai to Mumbai, Mumbai to Dubai ,Dubai to Bangalore.

Her dad is a deputy journalist of a daily newspaper. Her mother is a teacher. Teaching is her passion. Her parents have always inspired her.

There was a women's college in Bangalore, Pari wanted to pursue her education from there, but hostel facilities was not available. She got admission there ,but now she has to live alone in the PG.She made new friends. But she felt alone, many times she felt to give up.
It is hell to live alone, away from family, shut in an empty room.

Earlier she thought that what is wrong in living alone.
Later she realized that nothing in this world meant more than the family.

Life always gives us two choices- one is simple and the other is complicated.Whatever be it,your decisions impact you the most.Set goals, achieve them.Never regret what you have done.

At the end of the college life she gain confidence, courage to face anything that will come in her path. She was completely changed .
Always feel like something better coming better coming out there.

Things that let down the novel -
* I felt the story is Short
* Writing would have been better.
I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.Definitely not a book that you will want to put down.I am sure that readers could relate to it.

“No Time to Pause” is a perfect narration of experiences that a young and enthusiastic girl goes through, during her college life. The cover of the book is nice and catchy. The title is apt. The blurb is precise and urges the readers to turn the pages of the book.

The font (size and style) is fine. No where during the narrative will the reader be bored. The way the authoress has projected all the episodes is commendable. Not only the sequence of events is relatable but gives ample opportunity to the readers to empathize with the characters.

However, there are some drawbacks that can put the readers in a black mood. One- The switching from monologue to dialogue- there is no flaw in the monologue, except the grammar and editing, but when it comes to dialogue or to be more precise when other character (other than the protagonist) is narrating his/ her experience, there is no demarcation to differentiate between who is narrating. For an instance, the last chapter (14) baffled me a lot. I had to read it twice to understand whose monologue it was.

Two- there are grammatical errors, especially wrong use of tenses and missing punctuation marks. There are editing errors where Rita is replaced with Raina and vice versa. Somewhere in my subconscious mind I wished- only if Aditi was the narrator because the majority of narration is about Aditi’s life and not about the life of the protagonist.

Overall, a nice and light read.

A college student's life away from home in a new place along with new people under new circumstances. The book lets us know that how a girl who follows her heart deals with the situation and how the people she meets leave their impression on her life. From making roommates turn into friends to solving the qualms among them, from dance performance to fashion walks, from concert hangouts to posh parties, she sees all the aspects and chooses what is beneficial for her. She meets someone whose life and way of thinking forces her to believe in that someone's life philosophy.
She stumbles with opportunities but returns with experience that will help her improvise. Life away from the parental shade ,shapes her to face everything with courage.
Peep into Pari's PG and college life and meet her friends, especially Aditi, the girl who always had a perspective different from others.
A tea-time read with a lesson to learn , to learn that life gives you no time to pause and that moving on is always appreciated.
Ratings - 2.5 out of 5 stars.

The book has a number of errors in editing and the reading becomes a bit inconvenient as the tense keeps shifting feom past-participle to present and vice-versa.
The story is a bit too fast paced and slowing it a bit could have been helpful.
The language used could use a good content editor's work as the book has essence which can be further enhanced by enhancing it's language.
To me, the book seems like a one time read.

No time to pause ..... Uhhhhh it shouldnt have ended so soon ... I loved it 4.5/5 stars.

The author pavithra has done justice to the name of the book 'no time tó pause'.
The story is about a female protagonist pari, who narrates about her college life where she happens to stay away from her family - dealing with hèr PG, new environment, friends, college and so on.
She happens to make friènds with aditi, Tanya, avi, seema etc. Showed the different conflicts that arise and how strong the bond could get with new people who are no more strangers

Pros:
I really loved the bond between aditi and pari , a very strong bond develops between them and that level of comfort and friendship was cute.
It clearly showed how a typical college life would be with different kinds of friends around and on happening of different situations.
I loved how aditis story was said .
I also loved the writing style was more lik casual talks (which I prefer)
Cons:
It had more of aditis story than that of the protagonist pari.

Expectation:
When the protagonist pari met this guy named Reyan , I expected the story might develop with pari liking this guy , and things go on from there.(It would have been cute).

I loved the book sooooo much that I wanted few more pages :( THE book ended in no time

Good job Pavithra Ramesh .Looking forward for more of your novels. #KeepWriting

Stories are never set against a preset format. Nevertheless we all expect a storyline to be designed in a particular manner. No time to pause breaks the conventional style of designing a storyline. The story is an anecdote of the college life of the protagonist. Other than the daily happenings, there aren't much of a story format.
For those who spent their college life in hostels, the book will surely evoke nostalgia. The homesickness, meeting new friends, having fun with them, dealing with possessiveness, misunderstandings, last minute assignment submissions all are instances that everyone has faced at least once it their life. Sincerity is the core quality of the story. Aditi's love story is well portrayed with right amount of suspense. A little more homework would have taken the book to another level.

Readers should not approach the book to find a typical clinched story format. Read this as an easy breezy teen story.

Well the book blurb tells a lot about the story. This book speaks of life experiences of a young girl, especially about her college life.

Pari, protagonist of the story is a college student who joins a private college in Bangalore, far away from her home, Dubai. She then joins a PG, meets with other girls and forms a formidable bond. It is then she meets Aditi. Aditi has a story to tell and her story is something that would make the reader turn the pages of the book.
So who is Aditi? What does she has to do with story?

This is such a realistic book! Hostel life, home-sickness, crushes, dates, break-ups, exploring new stuff in college, petty fights with friends on possessiveness, etc .. I think any college student + hosteler should be able to relate to this book. As the title of the book says, there's no time to pause while reading the book as well. There's not even a single place where one will get bored. Well written Pavithra Ramesh! Good luck for your forth-coming books :)
