Sheri-Lynn Marean did it again! She captured my attention within the first few pages, leaving me feeling satisfied about reading her latest addition and craving more. This author is different from most when it comes to her series. I find others are very repetitive in their writings, constant use of same words or sentences, no real individuality for each book, just different characters. Revelations focuses on Sami and his inner demons past and present. Just like any war there are many battles and obstacles to overcome. Can he find happiness after Hellfire, his destined soulmate? Can he ever make peace with his traumatic childhood and stop blaming himself? Can he learn to be honest about his feelings and stop hiding his pain from his closest loved ones? Only one way to find out and that is by reading the newest addition in the series, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I was gifted my copy, direct from the author.

This is book two in the Dracones series and you really should read Awakening first.

Sami is 21, but has yet to have his Awakening and it could happen at any time. He carries some terrible guilt from things that happened in his childhood and he carries a lot of pain. A certain Phoenix' touch takes all his pain away. But she pushes Sami away, who then goes to rescue a Dracone child who has no idea what she is, and is on the verge of her Awakening. Which in turn triggers Sami's and the two are joined in a way they never saw coming.

It's only been a couple of months since I read Awakening, but I've read a lot of books since then (I don't reread!) and it took me a little while to catch up with everyone and everything, but once I did, this book flew by!

Poor Sami is, quite literally, a mess. His guilt at killing his father, of what Jax, his brother, had to put up with and of what his father made Sami do is killing him. He uses physical pain to releive his emotional pain. When he witnessed Hellfire's demise when they rescued the others, well that just added to his guilt. But Hellfire is a Phoenix, and she is born from the ashes of that demise. And she takes all Sami's pain away, then piles it back double when she rejects him. Goldy, on the other hand, accepts the help she needs from Sami and the pair form a bond like no other.

And I cannot, for the life of me, see where these three are going, I really can't and its driving me nuts! Neither can I see the bigger picture. I can't see where Val Jean fits in, where Thaniel fits, where the new characters introduced here fit either. And that's worse than these three!

BUT!!!

This is NOT a bad thing, not at all. This is a GOOD thing. Because I'm not sure if I've missed it, or it hasn't been totally laid out for me yet. I really don't care. Its keeping me on my toes, and its keeping me totally engaged with this series.

Hurry, please, Ms Marean, with the rest of Sami, Goldy and Hellfire's story. There was a little chapter at the end of this one, but I didn't read it. I didn't want to be left hanging any more than I already was!

It's incredibly adventurous yet enduring. It's impeccable writing skills down to it's core! It's a suspenseful paranormal at it's finest!- Nook Books and More Blog

This paranormal romance has fast action with amazing creatures for that added hotness you so desire. It was yet another awesome read that picks off where the last book ended given you that same awesome feel only added twist and turns!

I was blown away by Sheri-Lynn's book, “Dracones Revelations”! It was r action packed, with twist and turns that grabbed me from the start and didn’t land lingered in my very core! There were new levels on an exciting ride full of adventures that pulled you in! This new storyline that has well-defined characters & witty dialogue, and very detailed with descriptions that made you feel like you were a part of the storyline.

If you are a fan of sci-fi and paranormal and magic, vamps & shifters like dragons, big cats and werewolves, then this is your book! It's not the average dragon book. Thats what I love about it so much the species of all kinds seem to either mingle or battle with in the pages. You will never get bored!

Book 2 focuses on Sami struggling with his inner demons past and present. Will he be able to overcome such obstacles such as his past and be who he is destined to be? Or will he be stuck in the past forever? You have to read to find out!

The flow is impeccable and reads smoothly, transitioning one scene to another with no flaws. The author takes each characters POV which gives you a better understanding of the overall picture.. You're able to follow along with all of it well. That's a hard challenge with new authors. Kudos to you Sheri.

I really enjoyed this story and am excited for the next book to come. I'm antique to see how the authors skills will progress with this being her first novel, she has true talent. I would recommend anything she writes. Well done

Sorry No Spoilers Here, lol

Sheri-Lynn Marean and her stories just want to make me squeal with excitement. Dracones is such a different type of Dragon story. The perspective of the children growing up and not fully understanding what a Dragon is capable of makes these so interesting. And this is only the 2nd book. Wow.

Dracones Awakening is the first book and explains their journey to Earth and Jax and Tierney part.

Dracones Revelations is the 2nd book and it centers on Jax's brother Sami. His inner struggle with his Dragon and not being able to get the girl Hellfire out of his mind. Hellfire in my opinion will tee you off more than once here, she sure did me lol.

I loved the creativity of the characters. I felt their pain and suffering, their hopes and dreams, everything!!
That is when you know it's a wonderful book to read, one you can get lost in. Sweet.

I am looking for to reading more from this author, that's for sure.

Poor Sami he and his brother had a rough childhood with dear old dad. He had been dreaming of Hellfire his mate but he watches her die at least he believes he did until her twin tells him otherwise. However he is lost again because she wants nothing to do with him. Enter Goldy a fellow Dracones in need of rescue.

The ups and downs in this story keep you scrolling through until the very end. Ms. Marean leaves you wanting more. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.

This second book of the Dracones. Dracones Revelations is just as exciting and action-packed as the first book Dracones Awakening. This book is Sami's book. Sami or Samaris had a very unhappy and unorthodox childhood. He feels responsible for all of the bad things that happened to he and his brother. His brother, Jax found his soulmate in Tierney and had his awakening allowing his full integration with his dragon. Sami wants this love and his awakening too. He had a vision of his soulmate and in the vision she was burned alive. She did not die as she is a phoenix, her name is Hellfire. Hellfire is not a nice person. She may have her reasons but she destroys Sami, wanting nothing to do with him. Sami feels lost and hopeless.
He is given a mission to rescue a young female Dracones, Goldy. Goldy has not gone through her awakening and has not been told about her powers. She and Sami awaken their dragons together, forging a bond. It is not what he felt he had with Hellfire but it is good and bring light into his life in many ways.
We meet many more character and catch glimpses of returning characters such as: Amelis, Seville, Soroyan(my favorite), Thaniel, Genna, Kyrian,
Brimstone and Marcius. Along the way we learn more about Night-walkers and Day-walkers, werewolves, Phoenix and the amazing Okami Wolves.
This boom had me ignoring everything until I finished it. It was compelling and the characters are funny at times. Very witty dialog.
In short, or not so short, I loved it and look for much more from this author.

Dracones Revelations a great second book., September 4, 2016

By

vickie chaisson

This review is from: Dracones revelations: Book Two (Kindle Edition)

This book Dracones Revelations is one tremendously enticing book. You'll be enchanted by the characters and the world's they live in. I have wanted to read Samaris or Sami's story since the first book ended. This series is about family and how sometimes the family we pick for ourselves is better than the one we are born with.

This book is filled with dragons, demons, werewolves, and every other type of paranormal being you have ever heard of including druids. The brilliant writing of Sheri-Lynn Marian will keep you on the edge of your seat as the twists in this action packed story lead you on a rollercoaster ride. Sami is a young Dracones who harbors great guilt, anger and hatred towards his father. The darkness of these emotions is causing him physical and emotional pain and because he is afraid of hurting those close to him he withdraws into himself. His family knows he is suffering but does not know how to help him.

As Sami goes through his awakening and his dragon comes out he will have to deal with all of his emotional pain to be able to survive it. This story will keep you engrossed to the point you will not be able to put it down. This young author has a great future ahead of her if she continues to write books of this quality. I highly recommend this series if you like a little fantasy thrown into every day life.

Arrgg Ineed book three now!!!! Cannot believe she left it like
that. Okay. Now that I have that off chest, on with the review of
book two. I love this series, it is so well written and engaging.
I read it straight through in one sitting. This book is about
Sami and Hellfire? or Godly? Man was it fun trying to figure
that one out. This book had so many twist and turns. I was so
ready to strangle Hellfire; by the end of the book I was livid.
What a witch she was to Sami. And someone who was
supposes to have died in book one is back to reek havoc in
book two and what a piece of work he is. Have the tissues
read with this book I cried several times in this book. Sadness
at what Sami dose after the Hellfire incident. And then when
thy find out Sami may have a sister he never knew about and
what had happened to her. God I wanted to reach in the book
and kill the evil jerk myself. Now I need book three
so I can see how it all turns out.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,
please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it
when you do; they value your opinions too

Wonderful, Fantastic!

OMG, if I thought the first book Dracones Awakening was fantastic, this one is over the top!

Sami, is riddled with guilt for the suffering his father caused his brother Jax and his not being able to help him.. At least he killed the man, or did he?
He hasn't had his Awakening yet and although he has met his soul mate and had passionate sex with the Phoenix, Hellfire, she wants no part of him and leaves him broken. She has left him with no will to live, but then he goes to rescue a Genesis Dracones Baby, only Goldy is not a baby and her touch calms the beast in him. But what is more miraculous is what comes of it. Can Goldy fill the void that Hellfire left?

What a rollercoaster of emotions, I cried so much and felt joy then I got angry, then I cried again, I hate Hellfire so much! I said in my first review of Awakening that this new author was going to be great and she didn't disappoint, this second book is fantastic and I know the third is going to be even better, if that's possible.

In this one we delve deeper into the story seeing things mostly from Samis perspective this time and the story mostly focuses on him and his struggles. He has had a hard time of things since watching mysterious woman burn but when Revelations come about regarding her he hopes things will finally be going his way, he never could have anticipated what would come after.

Hellfire, well..... more times than not throughout this book I wanted to smack her upside the head. She is 153 character who's struggles and story I can't wait to see more of.

Goldy is a sweetie and something of a surprise in this book. I cannot wait to see what happens as we dig deeper into all of these characters and how things will work out for them!

This series is full of twists and turns you never anticipate and it's so easy to dive into this world. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Sometimes life hits you in the most unexpected ways, this was no different for our favorite cast of characters in this book, the second book of the Dracones series. For Sami, this was one of those times' since it seems for him that he isn't as lucky as he wants to be, especially with finding a woman, let alone trying to find his soulmate. It isn't until he meets this blond-headed Dracone girl that he finally thinks his luck is turning around. His soulmate is the light of his life that he knows he must protect at all cost to keep his sanity, literally...and of course his happiness, or in this case also known as his happily ever after.

But this story is also about the importance of keeping your loved ones, those who you care about more than your own life safe, and of course happy, since life is known for throwing unexpected curve balls from natural devastation to the death of the one you love/care for. And to show that life in, and of itself is the most precious gift this world can offer you, and that you should take very good care of it whether you are a mortal, seemingly immortal, or even supernatural, because you only get it once. Unless you believe in reincarnation (like a particular Phoenix hehe), but that's another story for another day.

So in other words this story was pretty good, and most definitely deserves it place with its predecessors in this particular book series.

Sherri-Lynn Marean continues her magnificent Dracones series. In book 2, Dracones Revolutions, good vs evil, supernatural and humans, mayhem and destruction. Thrills and heartbreak. The casualties being left behind. Oh, and some splendid romance. Thousand yrs ago Druids, the Ilyium, began its terror against supernaturals. Today they are crueler, more dangerous. Covering more realms then only Earth. Dracones Sami, Jax, and Tierney, escaped from Tartaria, as children. They have each survived their own Awakeneing. During a Dracone's 21st yr their inner dragon Awakens. From then, these immortals shift to dragons at will. Jax and Tierney are mates. In book 1, Dracones Awakeneing, Sami watched his possible mate thrown into a pit of fire. Did she survive ?!? Will he find her?!? As the casualties grow so does this family of Dracones. Their home in Washington state acquiring more and more members. A multi supernatural member family. Looking for and try to rescue more. While defending/protecting themselves. Excited to see where Sherri-Lynn Marean takes this storyline and readers next !!! I received this book as an ARC. I am voluntarily posting this review.

I found I enjoyed reading this book. I loved getting to revisit characters I remember from the previous books I've read in this series, and I enjoyed getting to experience just how close this family of shifters are.

Some parts were a little too erotic in nature for me to enjoy fully, but they revealed the closeness of the bond between characters in this novel. That being said, any fan of shifters, dragons, and non-traditional families that strive to keep each other safe...get ready for a riveting read. Just be aware there are a few instances in this novel that suggest cruelty towards women, so be prepared when it rears it's ugly head. Evil fathers are really just the worst.

Just so you know, I did receive a copy of this book from the author, but I wanted to share my honest opinion of the book here (hopefully without giving away any spoilers).

"...confronted by the demons of his past and a chance at a future, Sami faces some harsh choices that could make or break old and new relationships."

Yup, that description in the kindle blurb pretty much sums things up, tough it really needed to also make clear that this is a riotously fun book that at the same time is dark steamy paranormal romance at its best. A neat trick, but Sheri-Lynn Marean pulls it off beautifully in a perfectly plotted book where our leads, Jax, Teirney and Sami, continue to confront their personal ghosts as they take on everything thrown at them. Add in a great supporting cast in Brimstone (Phoenix), Zander (Tierney's dad), and Thaniel (were-leopard), et al, excellently crafted foes and a wild ride of a plot. The result is another clear winner. Highly recommended.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dracones: Revelations by Sheri-Lynn Marean is the second book in the Dracones series. Here is a yummy series that will pull you in and have you craving Dracones like a wicked chocolate addiction. Revelations is Samarias' story and an amazing addition to the series. Sheri-Lynn Marean gives us awesome world building and characters that reach in and touch our hearts. By imbuing these strong and almost immortal characters with human frailties and emotional vulnerabilities, she gives us relatable characters that are more, well likeable. This series gets better and better with each book. Spoiler Alert... this book does not resolve, there is a build up to the next book. With that said, I highly recommend this read and series. There is action, suspense, drama, lust, romance, love, chaos and just darn good reading!

I'm loving this series! This is Sami's story and it's what you think and also nothing you expect! Sami is struggling with the past in the only way that will help him but when things go differently then expected he losses it even more. With his family and friends trying to help him an unexpected person will show up and change things.

WOW! The author gives the reader Sami's story but you also get more of the other characters that you met, and some new ones, in the first book. I just love that, It's one story with lots of others happening at the same time and add surprises and twists you don't see coming well you have a book you can't put down! Can't wait to find out what happens next! Love PNR then this is a series for you!

Unfinished

This book is all.over the place and there are more questions than answers. Actually, there are no answers.
Five new character are introduced, each with an unknown role in the background plot. We are left wondering what is Marcius ( Sam it's father) up to, what is going on with Zander, what happened with the curse, and who will Sami ended up with a woman who is supposed to be his soul mate, but rejected him or a kind woman who makes his pain go away and makes him feel good about himself? Maybe a little I much at once.
Heat rating:🔥🔥🔥🔥 everyone seemed to be getting it on.
Triggers: Oh yeah, there is mention of rape, implications of child molestation.
Character development: (Sami)not much

This book was even better than the first! I was gifted this copy and I am really happy that I got it as it was a real page turner. I was not able to put it down and it seemed that at every turn, there would be surprises after surprises. There are so many characters that I love, and others I only wished to see gone. This story was one I highly enjoyed. Many scenes got to me in a very profound way and I simply adored some of the scenes in this book. If you love dragon shifters, actions that will not stop, complex characters and a real page turner, than this is the kind of book you want, the kind of series you want. Truly, this is a 5 star book.

As a fairly new author in paranormal romance, Sheri-Lynn Maren has completed her second book in the Dracones series: Dracones Revelations. The series continues with plenty of Dragons, Shifters, Fallen Angels and Phoenix to name a few. We see the same characters (Jax, Teirney and Sami) as the first book, with continued building of said characters. This book tends to focus more on Sami. As well as introductions to new characters. Looking forward to continuing on with the series and what other characters bring to the table. I voluntarily reviewed a advanced copy of Dracones Revelations.

I really enjoyed this book. I am starting to feel for the characters more like they are part of my own family.
The story makes me feel like I am right there living it with the characters. This series is truly amazing.
Sheri-Lynn Marean has done it again. I cannot wait to find out what happens next with these amazing characters.

I just never expected all the action and emotional upheavals in these books, you wouldn't think SCI-FI characters could experience such things.
This series definitely tugs at the heart strings.

Mercifully, unlike vol 1 in this series, this story has been edited, the grammar is better except there is a regrettable failure to understand the use of the comma.

This story is not a standalone, must read volume 1 in the series. Vol 1 was the world building and now the plot thickens as it will. Things thought to be impossible take place. Sami has very serious PTSD because his father abused him. He makes all kinds of stupid mistakes trying to handle his pain. He is devoted to his brother and to his adoptive father and sister. He and his suffering come across as real.

Thank you Sheri-Lynn Marean for Sami's Story. 4.5 Star's.

This is a hard hitting story of PTSD, guilt, loss, betrayal, childhood abuse, and using self harm as a coping mechanism.
It's also about love, loyalty, forgiveness and the determination to protect the one's that mean the most to you by putting revenge aside. (For now)
I am so glad I decided to continue reading more of this series and am looking forward to Bk3 "Dracone's Betrayed" which I shall start reading as soon as I finish this review.

Another must read with Sami trying to deal with his feelings of shame, guilt and helplessness. Wondering if the women that made his heart race could be alive still, but he thought he saw or die or did he? Afraid if Jax & Tierney find out the things he does to release the pain. Thaniel dealing with his feelings about being chained in the basement and tortured.
So many people coming into their lives and not knowing whether to trust them or have they been sent by the Ilyium to capture them. Lot's of passion, pain, love and another great book by Sheri.

Ok, so I managed to finish this book in 4 days. Once I started it, I just had so much trouble putting it down. I love how Sheri-Lynn puts the characters in real life situations. The books are getting better with each one that I read and I can't seem to wait for the next one. I'm very grateful to my friends in my BDB book group for introducing me to Sheri-Lynn Marean, her books are great. I'm hoping to start another series by her since I'm enjoying her books so much. As for the this book, I love how the family is growing by the book.

After reading the first book, i knew this one was going to be another hit with me. But the detail that went into describing Sami's pain was something i wasnt prepared for! It was so raw, so real; i felt the need to crawl inside the book and comfort this character! And not just that, but the further descriptions of the other characters leaves me with a overwhelming need for more books! Keep it coming please!

I thought there was no way that the author could ever do better than the first book. Wow was I wrong.
Right from the first page the depth of these characters are astounding.
The wording of the actions gives so much more meaning and feeling you are drawn immediately into the story right along with the main Character.
The only thing I found wrong with this while book is that it ended on a cliffie...and I hope that the next book keeps the action at the same levels.
Well done👍👍

A well written, intriguing story that keeps you reading until the end. It's filled with love, loss, betrayal, danger, revenge and a huge range of fabulous creatures. Plenty of bad guys you want to torture and good guys you want to give a big hug to.

This book can be read on its own but you will get a better understanding of the storyline if you have read the prequel and book one first.

I received an ARC of Dracones Revelations and this is my honest review.
