When I am not indulging my shopping and chocolate addictions I can generally be found with my nose stuck in a book or in front of a class of second graders.
I've been writing for years and love the heart stopping moments that are found in romantic fiction.
My soul yearned for food, but this was like licorice
As much as I wanted to love this book, I just couldn't. It definitely evoked deep emotion; it made you question things unbeknownst to any living human. However the end was so dissatisfying. I loved the era of the plot. It was highly relatable for me as I always joke and say I was born in the wrong generation. I couldn't stop flipping pages, as it was like a puzzle that had to be put together, and as I was nearing the end my heart started sinking as I knew it wasn't going to end well. I yearn for resolution and for a deeper connection. Maybe that's the author's purpose of this book but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth personally. This book could've escalated into something more, perhaps a trilogy or a series. It still could, but I don't think I would read it because it was left too open ended. The title says everything. Again, my opinion is one in a million.
