New York Times Bestseller Dianna Love wraps up the exciting Slye Temp romantic thriller series with FATAL PROMISE, Gage and Sabrina's story that readers have been asking for since the beginning.
When a rogue CIA assassin threatens her Slye Agency family, Sabrina goes after him before he can harm another person on her team. She's armed, dangerous and in no mood to take prisoners, but the lead she follows exposes the tip of a deadly international threat and adds a new name to the rogue agent's hit list... Gage, Sabrina's former CIA handler--and lover.
Gage has waged war on Sabrina's emotional walls over the past year after she returned from being betrayed during a bloody mission that left her suspicious of everyone in the agency, starting with him. There's a contract on her head, but keeping Sabrina safe until he can terminate the threat is easier said than done. As one of the deadliest operatives he's ever met, Sabrina bends to no one's will. No woman has ever gotten to him the way she has and he wants her back in his arms, but that isn't going to happen unless they survive this mission. With only one hope of stopping a megalomaniac from starting a third world war, survival depends upon Gage convincing Sabrina to trust him in every way, including her heart.
*This is the final book in the Slye Temp series, but there will be a new romantic suspense series - HAMR Brotherhood - which will include Slye Temp characters who still have more story to tell.

Any time a romantic suspense incorporates historical artifacts, I become a book zombie, only surfacing long enough to tell the hubby he's on dinner duty!
When CIA Agent Gage Laughton interrogated her Slye Agency family in an operation gone bad, Sabrina Slye walked away from her former CIA handler and lover without looking back. Sabrina is determined to find the man who burned her team, but instead gets more than her team bargains for when several factions converge in a mad rush for ancient artifacts. The team has been targeted by the agent they've been tracking and his extremist friends who want to start WWIII, and now Sabrina will have to work with her former lover to make the impossible happen.
Gage is frantic to make sure Sabrina stays safe and that she knows exactly how much she means to him. Even though they've been apart for the last few years, neither has stopped wanting the other. But Sabrina is convinced that Gage will be safer without her in his life, and nothing he says or does will change her mind...right?
While I'm sad that this is the last of the Slye Temp books, it also means I'll be able to catch up on the ones I missed without that pesky waiting period between novels! Ms. Love created a fast-paced and action packed story for Sabrina and Gage to star in, and while I wasn't convinced from prior books that I'd like Sabrina AT ALL, she did redeem herself somewhat in FATAL PROMISE. Their dynamic was interesting. Gage knew when to pick his battles with Sabrina, so most times it seemed he deferred to her, but then others he went all Alpha and told her what was what. Given that he's a CIA agent, I thought his tactics with her were unusual, but he was desperately in love with her, so that helped. Their chemistry was a low simmering boil instead of a high-intensity inferno, but no less palpable.
The suspense element was well written and felt like a deadly scavenger hunt, which I loved! I was really on the edge of my seat wondering how they'd get so many things done in such a short amount of time, and Ms. Love created an atmosphere of high intensity drama that sucked me in and didn't let up.
Bottom Line: Ms. Love's terrific writing and imaginative plot line made FATAL PROMISE a must read for fans of the series, but even as a stand-alone, she can entice new readers to the fold. - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...
Fatal Promise left me speechless and in awe. Sabrina and Gage's story has been building for years, and I was very impressed and happy with every single second of it. No one was safe in this book, and there was danger around every corner. I was so worried for everyone as I made my way through this book. The Slye Temp group is willing to do whatever it takes for each other, and the bad guys are terrifying and powerful. One of my favorite things about Dianna Love's writing is that everything is significant, and she has a magical way of weaving it all together in the most phenomenal way. Each book in this series is wonderful, and more than capable of standing on its own. However, do yourself a favor and check out the whole series. Dianna is a master at subtly building a deeper story line within her main plots. It grows bit by bit with each book, and all is revealed in Fatal Promise. I love a book that can not only keep my attention and make me nervous for the characters, but also hit me with shocking surprises that make me catch my breath. This is one of those books. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
The thrilling conclusion of the Slye Temp series, this book brings the six book arc to a close. International spies, espionage and danger abound. It's best to read at least a couple of the previous books to get the full complexity and back story.
All the characters in the previous books play a part in this complicated romantic thriller but it's main focus besides finally catching all the traitors and bad guys, is for Sabrina and Gage to finally come to terms with their roles in each other's lives. There are many issues between these two, most of which is protecting each other or those they feel responsible for.
It was a slam dunk in terms of guns, international travel, romance, killers, and resolution. This was a tight group of long-term friends turned coworkers or lovers. While the series is complete, the author promises to return with some of the characters in a new series. I'm looking forward to more.
This started out well enough with Gage and Sabrina whose story sounded like something I could really get into, until characters started piling in and a long, ongoing storyline kick into play. For someone unfamiliar with the previous Slye Temp books, jumping into 'Fatal Promise' was beyond difficult and frustrating when the main plot points started to stick out without quite making sense at all. Worse yet, it all sounded like a mish-mash of conspiracy theories to the extent where an alien incursion would have been welcome.
I did want to like this book, honestly. The blurb sounded right up my alley and I tried to hold on for as long as I could, finally giving up when the story just couldn't hold my interest.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was nice to read a series that kept all the characters thru out all the books. All the black ops and how family doesn't always mean by blood but whom you choose. To see a strong woman character running an operation like Sabrina Slye is wonderful. Read the series an enjoy the guys who are just as wonderful.
Sabrina & Gage's story was hard to put down! The intensity of the story was outstanding, it had you on the edge of you seat, biting your nails & sighing all in one chapter & through out the book! Your also left wanting more, I mean really what happens with Nick, Chatton, Blade & others.
It was fun to finally see Gage and Sabrina join forces to save the world and end together like they deserved. They are the top 2 operatives and a true match for each other. Best book in series, constant suspense and fab ending. Strongly recommend. All fans need now is a Nick-Chatton story!
Light entertainment with a capturing storie. Take the down time and sit down with this good series. Highly recommend. Will definitely read more from Dianna Love
Great storyline that includes mystery and is a page turner to find out what is going to happen! After reading the first book in the Slye Temp series I proceeded to buy all 6.
Great read. Action, adventure, love romance all in one twisted plot. Great ending but I need more. Do Nick and Chatton have a story. Truly enjoyed the series.
Whenever the Slye Temp operatives go on a mission, there is always the chance of not making it back alive, and the stakes have never been higher than in the sixth book of the series. The personal cost plus circumstances that could drastically affect the whole world have all the characters I have come to love facing impossible odds of everything turning out successfully. Five couples have been lucky enough to find that special someone in the previous books, but two individuals have resisted the powerful attraction each has felt since their first meeting. I have been eager for the story of Gage and Sabrina, as they may appear to never agree on anything, yet their inner feelings are telling them something much different. Dianna Love has teased us with their complex connection since the series began, and she delivers a riveting story centered on their relationship and what each is willing to do when adversity strikes. Though this is the final book in the Slye Temp series, these likable characters and their fascinating missions will long be remembered. FATAL PROMISE enthralls with imaginative developments.
Danger is always a possibility in her career choice, as Sabrina Slye owns Slye Temp Agency which does covet work for the U.S. government. But when threats are caused by an agent in the CIA whose actions resulted in putting her own team at risk, she vows to make certain it never occurs again. After several years, it finally seems like her wish to see him pay may finally be about to happen. When Gage Laughton, another CIA agent with whom she has closely worked, shows up again and wants to resume their relationship, Sabrina thinks it is too risky to be involved with anybody in the agency that deceived her.
Though Gage warns Sabrina that she is being targeted by someone unknown, she has no intention of hiding and will fight if the person comes after her. While she told her former lover to stay away, he cannot let the one woman who means much to him confront an enemy alone. When it becomes apparent just how much peril Sabrina is in, Gage and her Slye Temp team are ready to do battle. After a brutal scheme is set in motion, it becomes a race against time if disaster is to be averted.
FATAL PROMISE is cleverly original and very intriguing. While the wait may have been long until the relationship of Gage and Sabrina was explored, their story satisfied my every wish. There is definitely lots of danger which could have been tragic for not only the Slye Temp team but also countless others. How this group of operatives works seamlessly together shows what makes them the best when it comes to being victorious. The camaraderie they share has them trusting one another when it counts, as lives could have been lost many times. Sabrina has put together a resourceful bunch of individuals, whose determination and loyalty never wavers. The ongoing plan of several merciless people plays out with suspenseful situations that often left me breathless, and how a prophecy is worked into the plot is creative.
Gage and Sabrina are a couple whose personal clashes kept me wanting more, and Dianna Love certainly delivers in giving them a story packed with conflict and sexual tension. I never knew how either would respond when challenged by the other, but I did know their reactions would be convincingly believable. Sometimes I was happy with their decisions and other times I fretted over any consequences. This kept me reading page after page to see where their choices would lead them. Dianna Love has stated there is a new upcoming romantic series, and I am thrilled.
Fatal Promise by Dianna Love is the 6th and final book in her wonderful Slye Temp series. I have been waiting for a long time to get Sabrina’s story. I love this series, which is no surprise, as Dianna Love is a master at Romance Suspense. It is sad that this will end this series, and I will miss all the Slye Temp characters that we have come to love. However, Dianna promises us a new romance suspense series in the near future, which will include some of the Slye Temp characters.
Sabrina has been in love with Gage for a long time, but she refuses to listen to her heart, as she feels she cannot trust Gage. Gage loves Sabrina, and does everything in his power to convince her of his love and loyalty. But each have their own secrets that they must protect. Will they ever be able to totally trust one another?
Fatal Promise begins when Sabrina decides to go on her own to receive some information on Rikker, the hated villain in this series. But it is trap, and Sabrina is captured. Gage goes to the Slye Temp team, to insist that they let him help them rescue Sabrina. Josh and Dingo, who have been friends with Sabrina since childhood days, do not trust Gage, but they want his resources. In the rescue attempt, Sabrina is pulled to safety, but Josh is then captured during the rescue. What follows is an exciting pulse pounding story that will not only bring everyone from the previous books together to help save Josh, as well as to try to prevent a possible world war. Sabrina and Gage will risk their lives to fight off an evil enemy. We held our breaths often, wondering if one or both of them would survive. I loved Sabrina and Gage together, as their chemistry was scorching hot. Throughout the book, we watch them trying to control their emotions, which continued to pull them toward each other. We also knew the chances of them ending up together were slim.
Fatal Promise was an exciting action filled suspenseful story that was very well written by Love. The ending was a frantic race to the finish, and I absolutely loved the epilogue that closes this series. If you love romance, suspense, fantastic characters, great couples, bad villains, excitement, and fun, then you need to read this series.
Thank you Dianna Love for giving us an ensemble book, and bringing so many things to a satisfying conclusion. I look forward to your next Romance Suspense series.
I'm am so very sorry to say goodbye to this excellent series and what a way to end it with a love story that has been brewing along throughout these books between Sabrina and Gage, and now its finally here what an explosive storyline and ending!
If you have been following these books you will not be disappointed how the story plays out. Sabrina is headstrong and over protective of her friends and her team and refuses to let Gage get close to her with issues of trust coming between them, but they both know that they have a chemistry and pull that cannot be denied. Gage wants Sabrina in his life and can't let go of the hope of convincing her they can make things work between them.
Together Sabrina and Gage have to work together to stop Rikker the Orion Hunters and the people that he works for from getting hold of the artifacts needed to be at the Illustratio of Orion's prophecy making them both have to depend on each other and their resources testing their vulnerable sides and the danger that they face by having to put trust in each other.
Dianna Love has written these books with so much attention to detail and so much research must have gone into the planning of each story making each one very enjoyable to read. There is never a dull moment with suspense mystery and intrigue pouring off every page and the hot sizzling romance between Sabrina and Gage make this a heartstopping read.
I'm looking forward to more from this wonderfully talent author.

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Slye Temp series written by Dianna Love. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the other books in this series. When a rogue CIA assassin threatens her Slye Agency family, Sabrina goes after him before he can harm another person on her team. She’s armed, dangerous and in no mood to take prisoners, but the lead she follows exposes the tip of a deadly international threat and adds a new name to the rogue agent’s hit list which is Gage, Sabrina’s former CIA handler and lover. Gage has waged war on Sabrina’s emotional walls over the past year after she returned from being betrayed during a bloody mission that left her suspicious of everyone in the agency, starting with him. There’s a contract on her head, but keeping Sabrina safe until he can terminate the threat is easier said than done. As one of the deadliest operatives he’s ever met, Sabrina bends to no one’s will. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
This book send an almost fitting end to the Slye Temp series of books that I've had the pleasure to read. Starting this book, knowing it's the last, was bittersweet in a way, and I'm really hoping that maybe we'll see more of the team in other series or tidbits in other ways. This isn't my first series from Dianna Love, and it's also in a genre that I don't typically read. However, when an author comes along that has a way with words as she does, you want to read everything she's ever written. From the beginning of this series to this last, I've been drawn into the action, suspense, romance, and adventure that follows this team around. Thinking this is the end is hard, but you definitely need to take this journey, as the rewards for reading such an amazing story will stay with you well after the end.
I did receive an Advanced Copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review
The final book in the Slye Temp series (but don't worry, Dianna promises we haven't seen the last of the characters), Fatal Promise is the long-awaited culmination of the mystery introduced in Nowhere Safe and that has run throughout the Slye Temp series. I loved this book, though I had no doubts about that going in. Dianna's writing brings the characters to life, and her sense of humor shines through, even in the midst of the dangerous situations her characters find themselves in. If you like fast-paced, action packed adventure with a romantic thread running through it, then I highly recommend this book, and the rest of the series!

I have loved this series from the first book to this last. I was bummed to hear this was the last book in the series but Dianna delivers an amazing finale to the Slye Temp series. Have loved to read Gage and Sabrina's story, Dianna definitely saved the best for last. Her characters are complex and so well written they draw you in to a story filled with intrigue, suspense and hot romance. Sometimes I feel like I can't read and turn the pages fast enough to find out what happens next. If you haven't read this series I highly recommend it. Looking forward to what Dianna is dreaming up next. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I would add that I also purchased a copy for my kindle so I would be able to read it anywhwere.
When the Orion Prophecy comes to a head, Sabrina is tasked with finding the remaining artifacts and reporting to the Czarion to save one of her own. Gage comes along for the ride, even with the protests of the Slye team. Throughout the mission, the agents are helped by their mysterious benefactor with the understanding that she is helping herself, not the team. The questions burning throughout the series are finally answered, but not without some consequences.
If you're looking for the thrilling conclusion to the Slye Temp series, with action, romance and intrigue, this book is for you!
Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
In Fatal Promise (Slye Temp #6) by Dianna Love we finally get Sabrina and Gage’s story and oh boy just like everything else about these two it is filled with passion and trouble. This story is filled with romance, intrigue and more than a bit of angst but it is also a roller coaster filled with fun and adventure. The conclusion to the Slye Temp series goes out with a bang nobody could predict. I love that though this is the end of one series we will get to see our friends from time to time in Ms. Love’s new HAMR Brotherhood series. A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review
Sabrina is fighting to hold onto her longstanding feelings for Gabe. In a world where some days the only one you can trust is yourself how can you let your heart rule your head.
Sabrina's resistance is put to the test from the beginning. Gabe warns her that there is a contract out on her and he wants to protect her. Sabrina bends to no one’s will and is more than capable of taking care of herself.
Feel the heat and distrust, whilst they fight to save the world from a megalomaniac in this latest and final Slye Temp mission.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, this is such an unbelievably high octane, super adrenaline filled story that every page held me transfixed! I was only going to read a chapter or two and set it down for the evening and long, long into the night I finally set it down...finished! Gage is a seriously sexy hero willing to stand for what's right and Sabrina a kick ass woman who is willing to to risk her life for friends and country!! Each character is beyond compelling and the chemistry is off the charts rocket fuel!! The dialogue is sassy and the action heart pounding...I love it!!
HOTTER THAN DONUT GREASE! Dianna Love has certainly outdone herself with Sabrina and Gage in the series ending explosive romantic suspense. From start to finish its non stop action that brings a conclusion to the previous books that had us on the end of our seats. The attention to detail that Dianna brings makes you feel like you're right there with the team through the whole ordeal. I can't get enough of Diannas writing and can't wait to read about Blades story in hopefully the very near future. Hint hint!!! Don't miss out on this one. Phenomenal read and action packed.
This book has it all..Love, mystery and drama.. The final book in the Slye Temp series wraps up most of the characters, but leaves room for maybe a couple more.. Sabrina and Gage must learn to trust each other again and find the leaders of the Orion Hunters who are determined to bring about a Prophesy to take over the world...As they hopscotch around the world in search of the truth, they must learn to rely on each other.. Great read, and look forward to maybe a couple more
Another wonderful addition to anyone's bookshelf! From the first chapter Dianna gives us heart pounding, action. The tension between characters, that we've loved from previous books, is explosive in this installation of The Slye Temp series. This is definitely a need to read, make sure you pick this up for your next adventure! I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This book was and OMG, Nail-biter, page turner. I could not put it down. In the other books you read a little about Gage and Sabrina and realize there was something between them at one point in time. But you think that it is over, nope. I literally could not put the book down. I loved this story and sad that it is the last of the Slye Temp, but can't wait to read about Nick and Chatton.
I got this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.. Amazing!! Intrigue, excitement, and too good to put down. Loved it and cannot wait for the next one.
