Anthology. 3 out of 6 stories were good. Of the ones I didn't like, I could only finish Lani Aames' story. If you're a Ravyn Wilde fan and are reading the series this short story is part of, you'll want this anthology. The other Lora Leigh and Doreen DeSalvo stories appear to be stand alones.

1. Joshua 4.0 by Sahara Kelly. A few samples of the reason I couldn't finish this short story are as follows: "Holy motherboard!" "That was one relationship that had promptly developed a 404 Error. File not found." "I'd like to find that under my Christmas tree."

2. Barbarian by Kate Douglas. BDSM that was a little too extreme then lots of crying. Stopped reading the story.

3. Manimal by Lani Aames. Instant love and the guy's not freaking out? This is a fairy tale. Liked it up until the "I love yous" and her asking him to marry her after pretty much a couple of hours of talking to each other. Ugh!

4. AD 2203: Adam and Eve by Ravyn Wilde. Finally a good story! Adam and Eve are mated although she's been fighting it for 20 years. She didn't want him to stop her scientific work which he doesn't. Cute story.

5. At His Mercy by Doreen DeSalvo. Two people meet to discuss a grant and end up in bed. Pretty good story.

6. Time-Share: Amelia's Journey by Lora Leigh. Crashlanding on planet that adds to their sexual hunger. Hot Lora Leigh story without a lot of the angst.

Wow, hot and sexy.

Joshua 4.0 by Sahara Kelly - A female computer geek's sexual fantasy with a Virtual Reality hunk goes from virtual to actual reality. Sexy and funny.

Barbarian by Kate Douglas - Futuristic. A woman's need for revenge leads her to kidnap and torture he man she believes is responsible for her sister's death comes unraveled when she realizes she has captured the wrong man. Two years later they are both haunted by the event and their need for each other brings them back together.

Manimal by Lani Aames - A woman breaks from a possessive suitor because of her secret longing for another. Her fantasy man turns out to be a werewolf. This was a simple story but the author managed to make it work. I will definitely look for other titles by this author.

A.D. 2003 Adam and Eve by Ravyn Wilde - Werewolves and Vampires mix with society and laws protect them but there are factions of "One-Racers" who would see them wiped out. The law recognizes a Were's right to his fated mate even if the mate is not interested(once claimed the mate is committed). This story involves a human scientist who finds herself mated to a were. I liked the hero a lot and the heroine was ok but her sister was very annoying and unlikable. Still, good storyline. I'm going to check out the other to see if there are connected stories.

At His Mercy by Doreen DeSalvo - Hot and sexy. A intuitive (psychic) woman meets with a sexy skeptical University Trustee hoping for a grant for research. Sparks are instantaneous. This was an intensely erotic story and the characters were very likable. Loved it.

Time-Share: Amelia's Journey by Lora Leigh - *Contains ménage* Futuristic. Two men and a woman marooned on an alien planet become a sexual ticking time-bomb. Well done, very erotic.
Menage is not my cup of tea but I don't mind as long as the HEA is between two of the characters. It's clear in this story that Amelia and Saber are emotionally connected and Mike, the third party, is involved due to the planet's atmosphere amping up the sexual desires of the three.

The stories were good, but At his mercy, was the best. By Doreen DeSalvo. It was hot and steamy. It made me giddy. I don't get that often.

These Anthologies are just what I need at this point in my year - easy reading, nothing complicated and a variety. Let's not mention the smut 😊.

This blend of hot futuristic and paranormal erotica romance novellas is a cave full of sexy fun.

"She'd finally been approved as a client to receive the beta version of the "model Man" software--the 101X unit--for home testing. And now she'd gotten her very own Joshua 4.0."
So begins Shara Kelly's tale, Joshua 4.0. A fun creative romp with a female graphic artist, Andy and the actual Joshua , the inventor of the fully interactive graphics system who had sent it out for beta testing connect through virtual reality. And what a connection.

Barbarian by Kate Douglas is set in a futuristic time period where Bry, a female spaceship Captain, captures and sexually tortures a man known as Barbarian, a notorious sex slaver, who she thinks is responsible for her sister's death. However it turns out he's one of the World Federations' top agents undercover to capture the sex slavers. She is made to let him go and she loses her commission. "Still, he'd been part of her thoughts, her fantasies, her nightmares and daydreams for the past two years. At that time they meet again when the man she'd held captive, agent Jacob Hart captures her... and the fun begins.

Manimal by Lani Aames begisn with the heroine, Kelsey, talking on her cell phone with her bbf Dee as she's driving up to Dee's empty cabin to get away for the weekend and her horrible boyfriend she just broke it off with. Just as she
"reached over to push the disconnect button, a movement to the right of the road caught her eyes. She had the sense that it was a four-legged animal, like a large dog. Seconds later, a man, not wearing a stitch of clothing, loomed in the path of her SUV."
Well it turns out she knows him, Durak, he works for her ex as a bodyguard, and as he's hurt so she takes him to the cabin with her. He turns out to be much more than she bargained for. They are both in for a wild night and a howling good time.

That modern werewolf romance is followed by a futuristic one with Ravyn Wilde's A.D. 2203:Adam & Eve. Scientist, Eve, Longtree is working on a inoculation that will allow vampires a chance to have sperm and therefore have children ,which they cant' do now. She explains to her lab assistant her thoughts on this and werewolves on the night of the Lupine moon, when they look for their mates:
"This puts me at the top of their Human Enemy Hit List. Yes, my stepfather is Were, my half-brother is Were, my sister is married to a Vampire--one of the leaders of the Others. I am not prejudiced, I just do not want to chance meeting up with one of the shaggy beast tonight thinking I smell like wifey."
But one does meet up with her , he's named Adam, and with one sniff Adam knows Eve is his one and only mate for life. This is an interesting, creative, fun werewolf romance that I loved.

In the next novella in the book, Doreen DeSalvo's At His Mercy, a psychic, or as she prefers, intuitive, Faith Hartley, and a rich, handsome skeptic, Jacob McIntyre, meet at dinner so she can try to persuade him to fund a scientific study on intuitive powers. Turns out they have a psychic connection a true psychic hot line turns on in their minds. She sees all the things he wants to do to her.
"She felt it all, the way he must be feeling it. Felt his hunger. His need."
Soon Jacob's skepticism fades and he gains faith in Faith's intuitive abilities and yielding body.

Time-Share:Amelia's Journey by Lora Leigh is set in the future. A three man crew of two men and one woman, Mike, Saber, and Amelia crash on a deserted planet. The planet has a strange effect on all three of them. They stay in a state of burning desire. Amelia does test to try to find the cause.
"Okay, it wasn't an aphrodisiac for sure. It want' a chemical reaction. It wasn't' a biological malfunction. So what was left?"
Amelia takes blood samples, runs more test and finds out: "There isn't a cure."
"It's like animal instinct. Deserted planet, lush and ready to support life, like a fertile woman. From the instant male and female entered the atmosphere , it went crazy. Our bodies went crazy with it. Biological instinct. Breed and procreate."
So to survive, though Amelia and and Saber come to love each other, Amelia has to work out a time share of her body with Mike as well, one that also meets Saber's approval. This fun, sex in space read is a blast, complete with a truly funny ending.

This anthology is hot, sexy, and fun. I recommend it.

Joshua 4.0 by Sahara Kelly: (4.0 Stars) At first I thought that her style of writing was kind of odd. And the analogies to computer terms were just weird. But I stuck with the story and realized that that was what had made it so interesting. Kelly’s writing style is very creative and very different from what I was use to. If you take it with a grain of salt and not expect to read an intense plot, it’s actually a humorous, quick read. Very cute.

Barbarian by Kate Douglas: (4.0 Stars) Anyone who has read Kate Douglas probably knows by now what to expect. She tends to lean toward the dark side of sexuality. Her plots are thorough and the stories are always very well written, but they are not for everyone. For myself, it was just too extreme and not what I look for in erotic romance. But for those who may enjoy reading about the more excessive taste in sexuality then this would be right up your alley. And I mean no judgment in that. Like I said… it’s just not for everyone.

Manimal by Lani Aames: (4.0 Stars) I liked this story a lot. I think it could have made a great full-length story and one that I would definitely have read. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending. Not so much that they fell in love in less than 24-hours because, hey, it’s a short story, but the fact that the heroine took the lead in their relationship. I guess some would say that that opinion is archaic but that’s why I love the fantasy world of books. The hero swoops in and saves the damsel in distress…

A.D. 2203: Adam and Eve by Ravyn Wilde: (5.0 Stars) I loved this story. I will be looking for the other books in this series. That’s just how great it was.

At His Mercy by Doreen DeSalvo: (3.5 Stars) I thought it was good but not great. I think it had the potential to be much better. I try to take into consideration that with these short stories they have to work an entire plot into a small window.

Time Share: Amelia’s Journey by Lora Leigh: (3.5 Stars) I was very disappointed in this story. I’m a huge Lora Leigh fan so I had expected so much more. Usually when she writes about a ménage relationship all parties have feelings invested into the relationship to some extent. But in this one Mike was made to be a very unwanted third wheel. Almost an intruder into Amelia’s and Saber’s relationship, as if it were his fault. Yet the circumstances were written in a way that made him just as much of a victim as the other two. This did not feel like a Lora Leigh story to me.

6 novellas in one book. And I mean there are 6 different stories to read. But, yes, they all include sex scenes. If I add my review points and divide it by 6 I get 2,5 and since you can´t give half stars I decided to give the book a three as an overall rating.

3. Joshua 4.0, written by Sahara Kelly is set in the near future. It´s a fun story about the cyber world and thing that can happen when you connect your self to a computer.

2. Barbarian written by Kate Douglas was really bad in my eyes. It started rather explicit so I braced my self for a sort of hard core story but then it plummeted and it couldn´t end to soon for me.

1. Manimal written by Lani Aames. It was not good at all. A flimsy story with characters that was so uninteresting. No over to the next story.

4. A.D 2203 Adam & Eve written by Ravyn Wilde I liked a lot. It was well written, exiting and fun. I liked the idea that the weres has emerged out of the closet and demand equal rights. the only set back was that the story ended to soon.

3. At His Mercy written by Doreen DeSalvo. I have always been fascinated by mind reading so in was interesting to sink my teeth in this story. Nothing much happens but it was still fun and engaging. The thins we think and the things we say can differ quite a lot!

2. Time-Share: Amelias Journey written by Lora Leigh got me a bit disappointed. I am such a big fan of Lora Leigh so I think I was expecting to much. I didn´t care about the characters at all. The story didn´t have any depth at all.

This book is very hard to review. Since it's an anthology, and written by many authors, the submissions vary. Some were ho-hum, and some were err... explosive. What made me give it only a 3 star rating was the writing. I am not a writer--just a fan and avid reader. I don't know what makes writing particularly good-it should just pull me in and I forget I'm reading-almost like virtual reality experience! Some of the writing in this book reminded me of a sputtering car that just couldn't get going. If cliched expressions pop up (especially in a spicy scene) it just kills the momentum. I have read other titles from this series, and LOVE Ellora's cave, but this is not one of my recommended titles.

I finally dug this out and finished it

Truthfully? Thank God most of them were short. All are paranormal to some extent.

Tale the first gave me flashbacks from Demolition Man and the sex helmets
The second? Em, if he no longer wanted revenge, why bother with sexual torture for 14 HOURS?!
The third - you discover the guy you had the hots for is a werewolf and you just...hop on pop
The fourth -ok, I would have liked to see this one expanded. I can't see that law working long term as I'm sure someone would react violently to being mated to a werewolf.
The fifth - Ah...interesting, though frankly the whole living your private BDSM fantasy with a complete stranger is a bit...reckless, even if you can read his mind.
The sixth - Lora Leigh and no breeds. Enough said.

I have this book in paperback. It is a compilation of multiple stories. I like this book. I’ve read it many times. I liked all the stories in this book, but, my favorite story would be the first one in this book by Sahara Kelly. This was my intro to her work. They are all naughty time stories, well written quick individual reads, that get to the point rather quickly, but still written very well. Enjoy!!
