Rate this book
When beautiful, popular Taylor is voted Greenville High’s very first male Prom Queen, everyone is thrilled for him... everyone EXCEPT for Andre.

Poor besotted Andre has been head-over-heels in love with Taylor from the moment he met the beautiful little blond and he knows something Taylor doesn’t- Taylor’s boyfriend bragged to the entire football team that he plans to take the sweet boy to a hotel room after the prom and finally ‘get some’. Seething with rage and envy, Andre determines that he will not allow the love of his life to be devirginized by a conceited jerk who only sees him as an object to be conquered. So, the shy jock does the only thing he can think of and KIDNAPS the Prom Queen. What will happen next? Read on to find out!

Amelita Rae took a wrong turn on the internet one day. All the innocent young lass wanted to do was watch funny cat videos, but then she discovered Boy's Love and that was the end of any worthwhile contribution she might have otherwise made to the world.

She now spends most of her time writing filthy smut that she tries to frame with farfetched plots and deranged characters, but don't be fooled by her bullshit people, its all just smut.

Oh My Goodness. This was so ridiculously sweet, I loved it!

Andre is a massive linebacker in senior year of high school and has been in love with Taylor, a small femme boy, for years. One small problem though, Taylor is dating the quarterback. This is seriously the most crazy alternate universe, where the most popular kid is the small crossdressing gay boy and half the football team is gay...I definitely could have gone to that high school.

Anyway, despite what you might think from the title or blurb, there is absolutely no dub/non-con here, it's all sweet fluff. Andre is all inarticulate grunts and blushes, he writes poems for Taylor and picks flowers to put in his locker, seriously seriously sweet!

I really wish this was a full length novel, would have loved to see more build up of their relationship and more once they got together.

And of course, as I've come to expect from Amelita Rae, the sex was hot! Less than her other stories but it had two of my favourite words ;-)

Enjoy!

Oh my god, this was so sweet! I just adore Andre. One of my top notch semes. I can't exactly blame him for kidnapping Taylor. He's so madly in love with him. I just wish I got more sex (yes, me demanding more sex) instead of just climax on the epilogue. But it still pretty HOT.

Short and Super Sweet

Very sweet and tame compared to others I’ve read by this author ;) Big, romantic football player Andre finally gives in to unrequited (as far as he knows) love for cheerleader Taylor.

Las historias de Amelita son como la comida de paso, sirven para saciarte de vez en cuando, pero fuera de eso pasas.

Kidnapping the Queen is a Yaoi fantasy about two high school students. Andre the handsome, hulking, skilled football player, and Taylor, a beautiful cross-dressing twink.

This was cute. Pretty much the fluffy John Hough's 80's teen movie version of her dark as fuck Stockholm book, The Rise: A Dark Yaoi Romance. Silly but enjoyable. Not as earth shattering as her usual stuff due to the fluff factor, but that's okay. I love a little follow up, although prob didn't need that much of an epilogue

This is a creepy story. Well, it starts out kind of creepy, but after a few reactions and explanations, it was actually kind of sweet. I think their professional successes were a bit too much though.

Cute, but I'm a little confused. Yaoi, to me, means illustrated, boy or manlove manga. The cover implies that, but it's just a story inside. Yes, the story is very much like a bl manga just without illustrations. Ignoring the yaoi label confusion, I'm left wondering if this is meant to be parody or satire.

I really liked Taylor when we got to hear him talk and see him as more than just Andre's fixation.

Andre is a mess. Like definitely criminal in the making mess. The antisocial loner who drinks and smokes and thirsts after a genderfluid boy like Taylor does not seem likely to also be a star linebacker on a high school football team. But, ok, he is. And HIS Taylor is dating the quarterback of that football team which allows Andre to overhear some lockerroom conversation about how the quarterback means to finally score with Taylor after prom. But Andre, who seems to have rebuffed any kind of friendship or more with Taylor, refuses to let that happen because in his head he loves Taylor and Taylor is meant to be his. So he kidnaps Taylor on prom night and takes him to a room that he's set up in the boiler room of the school basement.... What? There's an air mattress, bottles of water, pizza and a jug for Taylor to relieve himself in because Andre clearly meant to keep the boy there for some period of time. Taylor is a sweetheart who keeps this from being a horror story, but OMG is this a scene from a horror movie! Andre gives major incel vibes and Taylor may be into that but I was not.

That said, there was a lot of this I liked and could have liked more. Much of Andre's thoughts and feelings appealed to the part of me that like a somewhat possessive male lead, but it went a bit too far for me. This read as funny, scary, sexy and sweet at various points and that's a weird mix. I like it but question how I ever came to read it. The answer to that is this author just popped up in a newsletter from another author I read and when I looked at this author's library this was the first title I most wanted to read. The rabbit holes I go down after midnight...

Rae's Capturing the Queen follows the budding of the relationship between Andre and Taylor. Andre captured more than just Taylor, he captured my heart too.

A sweet treat, recommended to take in moderation.

I very much like this author and have enjoyed a lot of their oeuvre.
I have reread this one since first reading it a few years ago. I recently gave it another reread and noticed that I have never marked it as read. Now it is!

“Why DO you hate Stefan so much anyways?”
“Because you’re with him and he doesn’t love you. Not like I do.”
If you want a quick feel-good spicy story with the best HEA give this a shot. I loved it💜

Not really erotic more a romantic story which was quite boring to be honest.

Pros
Short story
Character build

Cons
Not erotic even know its classed as erotic
Hidden behind a paywall
Very slow build as it focused more on character build instead of events

Cute story. Fun take on friends to lovers or Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed the story and liked the characters.

Heran, Taylor kenapa kalau cinta sm Andre malah pacaran sm Stefan. Selama 2 tahun pula! Meskipun endingnya sweet banget tp karena Taylor bersikap itu jadi bikin buku ini kurang menarik.

I love the idea of a male prom queen! Andre is super sweet even if he does kidnap Taylor. The two of them were cute together
