Another great read by Shantel Tessier. This book is a perfect blend of suspense and romance. It is a treat to read from start to finish.
The book starts with the mysterious disappearance of Skye’s best friend and roommate, Tiffany. One day she never comes back and Skye is scared that something bad has happened. Her investigation leads her to Seven Deadly Sins, a popular but “shady” night club where Tiffany was spotted for the last time. Brecken and Case are the co-owners of the club and they are known for drug dealing activities and violent crimes. Skye is desperate to find her friend and does not hesitate to ask for Brecken’s help. Skye is sweet, determined and persistent and Brecken has never met anyone quite like Skye. Their passion will lead them to a dangerous journey into the twisted mind of an old enemy who will threaten their happiness and their lives. Now that the nightmare from her past has resurfaced, Skye has no choice but to put her trust in the one man who has the ability to break her heart.
I really liked the plot line. It was captivating and certainly kept me on the edge of my seat. All of the characters have been exceptionally fleshed out and you can’t help but fall in love with them. The author has woven a powerful story in Obsession and her attention to detail is noteworthy. Overall, another enjoyable venture into Ms. Tessier’s world.

Who finds this garbage romantic?
•Zero was a disgusting POS.
•He has sex with married women.
•Him and his best friend have a club that sells drugs.
•He killed a woman that apparently was his friend and whom he used to have threesomes including his best friend.
•He likes to choke women with his hands and dick, he gets off from it. The women enjoy it.
•Him and his friend are undercover cops. (Crook cops)
•He has a dead ex who he’s still hung up on.
•Zeroine is pathetic, weak and spineless twat.
•Zeroine kills the married woman that hero was having sex with and zero burns all evidence along with the body.
Case and I are in another business. We prey on the weakness of addicts.

You don’t spend day and night with someone for four years without forming some sort of bond. A part of me really did love her. I loved how she looked from her knees. I loved how she played the role of a whore. I loved that fact she was always down for anything. But in the end, she was a psychotic bitch who threatened my friend’s life, so I shot her. Twice.
“Are you a cop or are you not?” She demands, looking up at me.
“Of course, I am..”
“Then why is everything you do fucking illegal?” She shouts.
I grind my teeth. “I am undercover,” I growl. “I can’t do anything by the fucking books. They will see right through me,” I snap. “I’ve had to fucking do drugs to keep from blowing my cover. Hell, I’ve had to fuck women to keep my cover.”
“You’re my toy, Skye. You’re my toy that I don’t wanna put down. You’re the toy that I want to use over and over again. I wanna fucking own you.
“Then own me.” I breath. Yes, I want to be owned.

Wow! what another brilliant action packed read from Shantel Tessier
I loved Case in Addiction but Breckon (FAN ME DOWN) He had the mysterious,moody,edgy thing going on I loved his character.
Obsession will rub off on you, I am already obsessed with this series and can't wait for Jets story
Alpha males that are dominant,possessive,dangerous all the right things to get your heart pumping with this highly mind adventurous read.
Told in dual pov's with the occasional multiple pov, well balanced with the action and everything else that Obsession has going on and easy to follow. Could be read as a stand alone but recommend reading Addiction where it all begins with Case and Taylor.
There are far to many twists and turns for me to sum this up but what I will say is it's action packed with murders,mystery,sex and lots of it, twists and turns, brilliant characters, I loved Skye she definitely had backbone and it all leads to a hea but still has you wanting more.

I loved Addiction, you will definitely need to read that one before you start Obsession. I forgot a huge detail!
Brecken and Skye are a really sweet couple. They had a lot to get through snd I was so happy that they got their perfect ending.
Skye is worried about her bestfried when she goes missing. Skye goes to see brecken after the police dont do anything to help. At first Brecken is hesitant but he is drawn to Skye.
Skye was such an annoying character sometimes. She put herself in harms way constantly!! I know she was trying to save her friend but honestly how is she going to save her friend if she's dead.
Brecken was a great hero! Loving and protective. I felt so bad for what he had to go threw when he was younger.
There was a twist at the end that I totally wasn't expecting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a book that has a dark side with a plot full of revenge.

I will say this again... YOU ARE SLEEPING ON THIS SERIES!
I know most people when they think of Shantel Tessier, they only think of the LORDS series, and rightfully so, that series is amazing. BUT this series is so underrated and very rarely talked about and I want to change that!
First things first, I straight DEVOURED this book! I was really looking forwards to Brecken's story after reading Addiction. I was so invested to see how his story would go. Especially after everything that happened with Rachel and losing Nicole. In walks Skye. She met Brecken at Seven Deadly Sins in search for her missing friend. I loved how this story unfolded and honestly if a story can get me to try to crack the code before the end of the book, that is the making of a banger for me.
Now I will say, there were moments where Skye irritated me. She tried to be so independent but I was like girl stop it! Just listen Brecken. Stop making stupid decisions. Like every time she did something dumb I would just roll my eyes. But at the end of the day, I did really love this book!
I also want to mention ALL of the breadcrumbs left in this book that you will see in other series by Shantel. And I am convinced that what has happened in this series will play out in the LORDS series. Also, I NEED Jet's book.

Swoon!
Yep. My heart has melted! Completely! Brecken is everything! This book was so good! I can’t decide if I like Addiction or Obsession better. Obsession was slow paced as well like Addiction was. Nothing too major happened til about the halfway point but I loved the buildup. You just knew some major plot twists were about to happen. I definitely didn’t see these twists coming and that makes me love the book even more. Shantel did a wonderful job with Obsession. I can’t wait to read Jet’s book.

The only good thing about this book was Jet, and occasionally Brecken. Skye was beyond annoying. Always “running” never telling the truth. It took me far too long to get thru this book. Even Case, who I love, was annoying and a giant hypocrite. I’m so glad this is over.
What makes me CRAZY, is that Skye is supposed to be this little badass yet she failed at everything she attempted to do.

5 -- Survive -- stars
I thought that I loved Addiction and that couldn’t love Obsession more, but I was wrong. I loved this book even more. It’s so good! I do recommend you to first read Addiction if you haven’t. There are a lot of spoilers and it would really ruin that book if you do plan on reading it. Obsession is about Brecken, Case’s best friend.
Brecken is damaged, broken. He once lost the love of his life and from that moment he doesn’t believe that he will ever love someone again. He’s ruthless and dangerous, also with Skye, but he really wants to help Skye. There is something about her that makes her different than the other women. Brecken feels alive when he is with her. He likes to hold her and doesn’t mind that she sleeps in his bed. Brecken would do anything to help and save Skye, even take a bullet for her. Brecken doesn’t always tell everything that he finds out to Skye and that causes tension between them, but he can always make it right.
Skye is on the run. She runs from her past. She runs to save her life. She always had the support of her best friend, until one night she doesn’t return home. Skye is determined to find her, but Skye is alone. She feels lonely. Skye doesn’t trust people easily. She wants to trust Brecken, but she doesn’t want to put him in danger and she is very independent. Skye acts recklessly sometimes, but Brecken is always there for her. She can always count on him.
I loved reading about them falling in love and being happy again. If two persons deserve it, it’s them. It was great to read the little changes in Brecken and he didn’t even know that he was changing or falling in love. He eventually falls hard for her, just like Skye falls hard for him. Skye is perfect for him, because she challenges him and she loves how he dominates in the bedroom. Brecken is perfect for her, because he will always protect her.
Did I sometimes wish that the build-up of their relationship was faster? Yes, but I also understood the slow build-up. Skye and Brecken have a painful past, insecurities, hurt and problems with trust. They both have good reasons to not act on the attraction. When they do act on the attraction, it’s hot and even a little animalistic (just the way Brecken likes it).
The book was long, but I didn’t have the feeling something could have been left out. Every revelation, every conversation had its purpose. Also everything revealed at the same moment, wouldn’t have had the same effect as it did now. I was surprised and shocked so many times and I can’t remember the last time that happened. So many twists and turns. They kept me reading and wanting to know more. I had no clue in the beginning who did it. I still hadn’t a clue in the middle. Trust me, you will never guess the whole story. The suspense, mystery was amazing! The suspense also made the book a little dark sometimes.
There are also amazing secondary characters. Taylor and Case from Addiction appear. It was great to read more about them, because I wanted more of them after the epilogue of Addiction. I was sometimes a little disappointed in Case’s reactions, but I believe that he only looks out for his best friend. I also met the person whose book is next in this series. I loved him and I can’t wait for his story! I’m really loving this series!

Holy Moly if there is a must read series for fans of erotic Suspensful romance then these are the books that you should be reading.
I loved addiction but this book just blew that book from the water I'm definitely #TeamBrecken.
The story,content and overall writing really sucked me in from the first few pages. Shantel has nailed the suspense element and I was as hooked to that as I was to the relationship that was budding between Skye and Brecken.
The book is told in alternating POV's with the odd snippet from Addiction's Case which gives a contrasting perspective and some freshness to the story away from the main characters.
The sex scenes in this book are hot and sexy, they are a little dark in nature as Brecken is a very dominating character and I doubt a person like him would be hearts and flowers in the bedroom and the sexual dynamic between him and Skye work effortlessly.
I'm sure I say this about every book that I read from Shantel but I have to say they do just get better, the language evolves and she brings something different to the table with every new release, she is not afraid of hurting her characters and giving that bit more to the reader than the traditional HEA that a lot if books within this genre give. This book was no different and is one of my favourite to date as the characters were so intriguing and I felt myself getting more and more immersed into the story so much so that I was dreaming of possible endings to the story.
If you want a suspenseful, sexy, yell at your kindle read then this is a one click must read.

I wish there were enough stars for me to properly convey how much I loved this book. It really was a suspenseful, twisting up until the very end.
I had read Addiction, and this book gives me the same feeling. I loved every minute of it and when I thought I had everything figured out and was thinking you couldn't surprise me I was wrong.
Brecken at the moment is one man in a two man show. His best friend is setting up shop with his new wife Taylor, and honeymooners for him means double duty for Brecken. Left alone with a club to run, and a drug ring to bring down, doesn't leave him much time to sleep much less keep saving the life of Skye.
Skye has been running from a past that she can not shake. She sleeps with lights on, her only help in this world is her best friend Tiffany. After Tiffany does not call, nor show up to their apartment, and no help from police Skye takes matters into her own hands.
Brecken and Skye have some crazy ways of communicating, however; it makes for a tantilizing story and smoking hot bedroom romps. SMOKING HOTT like hey buy one of those fans that hang around neck because wowza!! I loved it LOVED IT. Oh lawdy Jesus. Mhm.

I Loved this book it was amazing, Loved Brecken and Skye story.
If you have read book one you will have met Brecken, he is partners with Case.
When I first started took me a few chapters to get into the book and things started making sense.
The Author does a great job on explaining what happened in the past within these chapters, and you start understanding more about the backgrounds to things.
Brecken and Skye are both running from pasts. Does the past catch up with them? you will have to read and see.
I really liked Skye Character I really connected well with her she is so Independent. Any way Tiffany Skye friend goes missing after a night out and Skye starts to worry.
She goes to the police but they don’t help her much. so she goes to the last place she had known where Tiffany was, this is where she meets Brecken.
Brecken is hot, he is very controlling man in the bedroom. Brecken past isn’t all that nice it is heart-breaking... he lost the one person who meant the world to him his soulmate.
This book has twists and turns, I really didn’t see coming. The sex scenes are pantie dropping very very hot.
Loved all the characters in this book.
This book is one of my top reads this year.

The Author does a great job on explaining what happened in the past within these chapters, and you start understanding more about the backgrounds to things.
Brecken and Skye are both running from pasts. Does the past catch up with them? you will have to read and see.
I really liked Skye Character I really connected well with her she is so Independent. Any way Tiffany Skye friend goes missing after a night out and Skye starts to worry.
She goes to the police but they don’t help her much. so she goes to the last place she had known where Tiffany was, this is where she meets Brecken.
Brecken is hot, he is very controlling man in the bedroom. Brecken past isn’t all that nice it is heart-breaking... he lost the one person who meant the world to him his soulmate.
This book has twists and turns, I really didn’t see coming. The sex scenes are pantie dropping very very hot.
Loved all the characters in this book.
This book is one of my top reads this year.

Shantel Tessier never ceases to amaze me. I feel hard for her since her debut novel, but this series is one that I can't get over. Not only is it a great romance, the suspense and tension within the pages will keep you from putting the book down. Just ask me... I was up all hours of the night finishing.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, and quite honestly... Obsession is a definite winner! Well-written with characters that you start to believe are real, this story grabs you at the cover and doesn't let you go until you've read the last page and even then you are lift with wanting more. Shantel Tessier weaves a story of suspense, intrigue, danger, unexpected twists, lost, second chances, love, finding yourself, and hot, toe-curling sex.

Oh wow! This book had me on the tip of my toes. Firstly, I cannot believe just how crazy Skye is throughout the entirety of the story. I think that she gave me gray hair by the end of those 300 or so pages. She had a death wish the entire time. It was like she wanted to be in those near death situations. I wanted to scream at her through my kindle to stop being so boneheaded!
We have Brecken as the MMC in this one and he does not disappoint. He meets Skye outside of his club when she demands his help finding her missing friend and the only person Skye has in this life. They both ran from home for different reasons and Skye may or may not have people still looking for her.
I do not even want to include all the twists and turns in this review because it would spoil the fun. Just know that there are several that will make your mouth hang open in disbelief. I can honestly say I did not figure out one or two. Let’s just say in the search for the missing Tiffany, Skye’s best friend, a lot is discovered and uncovered.
Also, my heart broke for Brecken when reliving his past with Nicole and having to face those traumas. I know him helping Skye started off as him just wanting someone to meet him. But I’m so glad that developed into something way bigger. Because he deserves that!! Another side note: Brecken & spice is top tier 🔥 🥵

Brecken oh my!!!
First off this book is very emotional, twisty, suspenseful, and definitely scorching hot. I love Shantel writing. She is absolutely brilliant.
Omg where do I begin? Skye has a very troubled past, and is also currently in big trouble. She seems out one of the owners of the nightclub to search for her missing friend. Brecken oh my god!! You are absolute perfection!! I love your dirty mouth and you demanding control! Oh and all
The tattoos and your piercing ( wink wink) you are also a lost soul, but that doesn't stop you from helping poor Skye.
This is book is out this world hot, and I highly recommend reading book one Addiction first. This is a must read series for sure.

I’m so glad this book is Brecken.. I knew he would be an interesting story.
I never realized how funny he was. He had me laughing many times.
And skye. I can’t. My heart broke into pieces and I wanted to hug her through all her tough times.
It absolutely blows my mind how Shantel has somehow intertwined this with the amazing LORDS series. Sex trafficking.. missing women.. sounds all too familiar 🧐.
I love how Brecken let his heart love again and didn’t give up on Skye. He was truly there for her in every way and that was beautiful to see.
I can’t wait for Jets book next .. if it ever comes out …

I really liked this book and the story it told! I’ll be adding confession to my tbr I’m so glad another book is in the future!
However I did see some grammar issues but that doesn’t bother me everyone makes mistakes!

I thought Case was the perfect definition of THE perfect book boyfriend? Nawhhh, Daddy Brecken strolled in, grabbed me by the neck and held me against the wall. He demanded me to get on my knees and I happy obliged. 😮💨
Brecken is THE PERFECT bad boy meets knight in shinning armor. He’s so sweet & caring then the next second he’s ready to kill someone and remind you who the fuck he is. Breckens personality was so straight forward and he had me blushing like a waahore in church. I literally put this note on one of the parts I highlighted. “I will highlight this whole fuchin book. Brecken, you ARE my roman empire and i will HAPPILY burn at your feet *insert hot face emoji*” I STAND BY IT TOO-OKKKUUUUURTTTT 👏🏻 👏🏻
Skye was a great character! I know I’ve seen people say she is whiny and dumb for not listening but DAMN ID DO THE SAME THING. She was scared and hiding- running for her whole life. Then bam your best friend that you ran away with goes missing? Yea, my ass would be in a sketchy part of Chicago giving the sexy af club owner some puppies eyes too (among other things 😜)
The story line was chefs fucking kiss. I was ooo-ing and then wtf-ing non stop. My pants? Yea, soaked. The smut be smutting. Better than Addiction (sorry Case- I hope we can still be friends 😘). I love that Skye wanted someone to take control of her because she was so tired of always having to look out for herself. So when Brecken said jump, she said how high. I resonated with that so much - I get why she just wanted to be dominated. Plus, nothing is sexier than a fine ass confident man who knows what he wants…..I’m realizing now that I might just be a $lut….. 🤷🏼♀️ The shit Brecken does/says to her was HAWT, had me clenching my pearls a few times, cuz damn 🥵 like I’d challenge him to if I ended up in the same positions (😜 💦) as Skye.
I was very happy that in the ending chapter Shantel snuck in what happened to Nicole- I just wish she would’ve put Case finding out, how Brecken felt-even how Taylor & Skye felt.

I really wanted to enjoy this more but the FMC really got on my nerves. The storyline was good but I just felt like something was missing & it was rushed in some parts.

Shantel Tessier once again captivated me with this addictive romantic suspense. The level of intensity happening at a fast pace was incredible and I loved it. After reading Addiction, I was really curious about Brecken's story, and what a strong alpha hero I discovered!
Brecken feels a little left out to do all the work since Case step out a little from their business to be with Taylor. He runs Seven Deadly Sins and still tries to discover some truths from his past. You clearly see he’s tortured by this past, making him a little unpredictable! One night after the club closing, he meets Skye who needs his help uncovering the mystery behind her best friend's disappearance that happened in his club. He soon finds himself the need to protect her, because Skye is alone in this world and has nothing to lose, putting herself in reckless situations to discover the truth about her friend. She drives Brecken crazy with her attitude and carelessness, but he can’t get enough of her. Their intensity was phenomenal and brought a lot of hot actions. Brecken likes to dominate and be in control, even a little violence turns him on and Skye is only happy to surrender to him. It brought a lot of crazy steamy scenes! The suspense was always present and I must say that there were a multitude of twists I didn’t see coming. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The last quarter of the book, was just full-spin action and revealing moments. Case, that I loved in the first book, is still present in this novel and I must say that Brecken and him don’t really see eye to eye, but they'd still do anything to help each other. Jet is a new character introduced in the series, and I really liked him. With Brecken he made a good team, after a little adjustments of course!
It’s definitely a book you need to read for the whole explosion of suspense, action and sizzling hot moments!! Brecken and Skye are sublime heroes and won’t let you cold!

This book was amazing!! Absolutely loved Brecken and Skye.
When first started reading I did get a little confused because of all the women named being thrown out. After the first two chapters it all started playing out and made sense to me. The author did a really great job explaining the past within each chapter. You get to understand the background and basically brought up to speed on why this is happening or why this character is being this way.
Brecken and Skye both have a past they are running from. Only time will tell if and when it will catch up to them.
Skye is very independent and doesn't need help from anyone expect her best friend, Tiffany. After Tiffany goes out partying with a friend and doesn't t come home, Skye gets worried and will do anything to find her friend. Will Skye stumble back into her past or will she be able to fight her way out of the darkness.
Brecken is completely hot and I would like one of him, please. He's very controlling in the bedroom and it will melt your panties right off. Brecken has a past that will break your heart. Losing your soulmate at a very young age would do that to anyone. Him and his best friend Case escape from
their little town. Will he be able to out run his last and see some light with Skye ?
Twist and turns and surprises right off the back. This was an awesome book that left me wanting more. I don't want to give away any of the surprises because I you the reader to stumble upon them like I did. You won't regret it one bit.

I was given an ARC of Obsession by Shantel Tessier in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to read this work. This is the second book in the Seven Deadly Sins series. This book is about Brecken and Skye, two souls broken by their past. In the first book in the series we learn that Brecken is an undercover cop in the drug world. Skye comes to him for help finding her missing friend. In the course of the investigation, Skye’s past collides with Brecken’s world and they struggle to save each other.
Whew! Shantel writes long books! I admit that I was captivated from beginning to end though. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. Brecken, an alpha through and through, was swoon-worthy. I loved every part of his sweet, sexy, rough, and angry personality. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Skye. She was tough and tender, both great qualities in a heroine, but I felt like she was too much trouble. I wouldn’t have blamed Brecken if he would have ditched her after the first half of the book. She was a lot of work! Overall good story, good characters, and good, solid writing.
This was a great read. I give it 5 stars.

Shantel Tessier left me speechless after, Addiction, book one in the Seven Deadly Sins series. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, she release Obsession into the world. This book was hot, scandalous, suspenseful, and had a storyline that was captivating and intriguing. Seven Deadly Sins might just be my new favorite obsession.
Can you handle Obsession? Are you prepared for the twists and turns? What about the secrets lurking just under the surface? Throw in murder and mystery... and we have a plot that sucks you in from the beginning and devours you by the time it's done. Shantel Tessier is a personal favorite of mine and books like this remind my why I come back.
