Wow! I didn't know that much about this poet's work. He also wrote plays, was an actor, teacher and editor of Caribbean Quarterly, who sadly died in his 50s in 1991.
This book contains his poems, some of which were collated after his death. I must read his plays also.
These poems are great. You'll be in the rooms and spaces at times. Love, sensuality, marriage, relationships, memory, events, life and death. The sadder pieces are never depressing. Just flows and tells how it is. One can sense, feel and see some of the words and lines.
Read it!
