Why? Why do I do this to myself, every bloody time!! After reading the first 4 books and then finding out that the 5th was not out at the time, I was devastated, I searched and searched looking to see when the next instalment was out only to find I had to wait months! Of course this happened every time a new book came out and whilst I had to wait for my next Draven fix, I had to make do with whatever book I could find. Let's face it, nothing has compared, NOTHING!! So as soon as I received the email that Sacrifice of the Septimus part 1 was out, I was thrilled, that was until I read the prologue and had to stop myself.... umming and arrghing, do I read it or do I wait till July when I knew the last book was out? Of course, I couldn't wait and now I am depressed, frustrated and screaming at myself!!!!
Ok, that's my rant over, onto the book. What can I say? Another amazing book in the series, I absolutely love Afterlife Saga, it is beyond anything I have ever read and each time I finish a book, I'm gutted because I can never find anything good to read. I adore all the character's, I think they are all amazing I their own way, Lucius is just WOW, part of me really wants him to find his true love, Pip is hilarious, she has me in stitches and I would kill for a friend like her, Vincent.......hmmmm, plus everyone else including Siguard is just amazballs and well what can I say about Draven? To have someone who loves you unconditionally is anyone could ever ask. I just really hope there is a happy ending for Keira and Draven, I think they deserve it but we shall see.
I can't wait until July although part of me will be devastated as I know this is the last book! What the hell am I going to do after? What am I going to read coz let's face it, I really cannot find anything remotely close to this. The storyline, characters, everything is just amazing.
Another amazing roller coaster of brilliance by Stephanie Hudson. Our lovers seem to have no peace from the fates and are once again plunged into adventures untold. The other is sheer brilliance and you couldn't ask for more. Our favourite besties are amazing and wickedly fun. I laughed and cried, it's well researched and well written which stimulates your imagination. Roll on July although I know I'll cry as it's our last in the series. Well done Stephanie you held my interest from page one book one I devour and 're read these books time and time again. Well worth a read you won't be sorry
Can't and won't finish it. Does anyone else think the characters have changed?
Keira always made wisecracks but now they seem really forced. I think the writing has gone downhill - too many "I saids" for example which is just bad writing technique
Disappointed as I loved the first few books, can't finish this one :(
I knew Keira would get herself into another seemenly no win situation. How will she get out of this one and how will she find her friends. Will she live to go back and meet him at the alter?
Again Stephanie Hudson drags us into her world of Angels and Demons and everything in between. And again I devoured the whole book in 3 hours. Every damn time I am left craving the next book and wondering what path Keira's journey is going to take next.
The great thing about this authors books is that we are 7 books in and I am still nowhere near bored of this world she has created. In fact I have a list of books I want from her... Sigurd, Jared and Lucius are just a few. Stephanie Hudson doesn't just make us love her hero and heroine she makes us love all her characters!
We see a different aspect of Dom and Keira's relationship in this book, Keira has really grown into herself and her powers and taking control. Dom is more back seat in the key storyline this time and I really enjoyed that as we finally get a glimpse of where this is all going...well a little glimpse.
There were plenty of moments in this book where I laughed out loud...Hen/Stag do was ingenious! Roll on July for the next book!!
Stephanie Hudson has written another great book and left on a fecking cliffhanger but I suppose I should be used to it now after 8 books.
I heard a rumor that the next book is the last with Dominic and Kiera as the main characters and a large part of me hopes so as what else can they possibly go through.
I want to see Lucius meet his match, and if you want to base her on a 35 year old brunette from Liverpool I have no issues with that....just saying?
This book was amazing- the best yet in my favorite series. It is so hard to write a review without giving away spoilers because so much happened in this book, and I don't want to ruin the surprises for anyone. A stronger, badass Kiera looks to take her future into her own hands and the characters you know and love are along for the ride. Pip, Sophia, Lucius, Dom, etc.- they're all there.
If you enjoy this series then you will love this book, which ends on a cliffhanger, but part 2 is scheduled to be released in July 2016!
Blissfully in a book hangover from a talented, creative, and all-around fabulous author.
I don't know where to begin. All of her books in this saga have had me rereading them over and over. I'm sure this latest will follow that trend as well. I laughed, I cried, I felt anxious, overjoyed, did I mention laughed? I absolutely love seeing Kiera coming into her own skin and being a force to reckon with. I love their love story the most. It's heartbreakingly beautiful. And funny. The additional characters like Sophia and Pip are amazing and make wonderful hilarious partners in crime. I find myself wishing I could be Kiera!! So. I guess that sums up my review but in case it doesn't.....READ THIS SERIES. And fall in love as I have ❤️
OMG need so much more. I just love the series and have read it 3 times now. I love the Draven brothers and wish there was really a man out there who was like Dom on the love and pleasing and sexual side. lol but I still have my BBF hehe I guess Keira will have to learn to share. But I can hang with Vincent also. lol. But seriously you need to read this series and get caught up in it. There are 2 more books coming out by Dec 2016 but you will enjoy what Stephanie Hudson has written and you will see that she is a very talented writer. Please keep putting out more books like this Stephanie.
I love Stephanie's Afterlife Saga series!! I feel what they feel and cry when there is a sad part. I love the story between Dravin and Kiera I just wish for once they could have one smooth ride with maybe a few bumps in the road nothing life threatening. I love the little back and forth stuff that she does with all the kings and stop keeping secrets from each other to protect one another! Keep up the great work can't wait for July!!!
Wow what can I say I love it,am so happy with this book to see the funny side of all the character's was fun. Keira finds out about the prophecy that will save the world but draven is dead set against her doing it thinking they can find another way but life is never that simple. Stephanie Hudson has done it again, she has u sitting on the edge of your seat wanting more can not wait till the final instalment in July.
I adore all the characters in this series and the storyline, I hate to wait for the next book, as I am sooo anxious to see what is going to happen next! In this book, the ending leaves us with possibly seeing a totally different Draven than the one we know and can Keira pull off what she needs to in order to save all of those that she loves, I can't stand it! I need this next book!
Stephanie always leaves me wishing my life away waiting for the next book!
I love the series, this is one of my favorite books in the series. I loved that Kiera and Lucius declared their feelings. I'm not completely sure I trust Renka but it is good to see new and mysterious directions for the plots to take. Stephanie always finds a way to keep you guessing and begging for more!
Omg what a great read and continuation to the series. Humour, drama, Pip, and a storyline that keeps you turning the pages and not wanting the tale to end. I love the mythological theme which runs through the whole saga, and the bravery and selflessness of Kiera as she continues on her journey as the Electus. Can't wait till the final book is released.
Nice read, worth the wait. This installment not as brutal as the others. I hate that I have to wait for yet another part but it's not supposed to be a long wait. I've gotten invested into the series But if the next book isn't the conclusion of finale I'm sure to go crazy.
omfg I couldn't put this down and was screaming at the end..I can not wait for the next and final book in this series.. I have loved this series from the first book ... Dominic Draven is one alpha male that could command and perform his magic on me anytime.. I just wish I didn't have to wait for the next book argh !!!
As with ever Afterlife Saga, I have laughed, cried and worried for the Characters! Stephaine can pull you into her world effortlessly and have you feeling like you're 'in the story' You will no doubt fall head over heels in love with them as I have. I am looking forward to the next book but scared to ever see an ending to the Afterlife Saga!
I have read every book so far and I love it. There are somethings that the characters do that are really annoying, but you end up falling back in love with them again anyway
Just picked up from where I left off. What a talent to remind your memory within a few pages. It nice to see Keira getting stronger and the friends she had made are now around her giving their support and loyalty
Sucked me in, and had me fully absorbed. Can't wait for part II
Stephanie did it again! I started the book on Sunday morning, and couldn't put it down. The ONLY downside to the story was that it ended, and I will have to wait for the next part of the story!
can't wait for the next instalment in this story of love , hate , trust , jealousy , lust , heartbreak and overwhelming happiness , yes it has it all and then some x

The Sacrifice of the Septimus Pt. 1 is the 8th book in the Afterlife Saga by Stephanie Hudson. This is the 1 half of the two-part Sacrifice of the Septimus set. And boy oh boy. This book did not disappoint at all.
The Sacrifice of the Septimus Pt. 1 is the beginning of all the action that will take place for the prophecy to be fulfilled. This book is everything that you want it to be. It's spicy, funny, and it has its sweet moments. You get an amazing set of supporting characters and all the antics that they not only talk about but get into is hilarious at times. Of course, this wouldn't be an Afterlife book if Keira and Dominic weren't at the centre of it and their relationship wasn't riddled with more problems than they knew what to do with. The 2nd part of this book is going to be wild, let me tell you that.
At the beginning of this book, we are posed with a very interesting question that turns into Keira's ramblings and what-ifs. I found the entire prologue to be rather astounding, and I found it to be insinuating how Keira and Dominic could go from being happy and suddenly going to Dominic holding a blade to Keira's throat.
The beginning of the book starts in the present. We are with Adam, Pip, Sophia, and Keira. They are all excited about the wedding and Sophia is in full wedding planning mode, and can I say that it's about time we got a human wedding?
But, there are so many things that are still a mess. Jack is still missing and we don't know if he is alive or dead, the Oracle and her cryptic messages, Dominic, and all his secrets. Of course, this book is full of all the spice we could want, but of course, we still have the prophecy and the parts of it that are still confusing. And of course we can't be surprised that Keira was able to turn her wedding into the adventure of a lifetime.
I love the bachelorette party that Pip planned for Keira. It was hilarious. But, Keira knew she still had a mission to complete and it was hanging over her head, and the way that Pip was able to get Keira, Sophia, and Ari out of the hotel and out to see Jaered.
And there was so much action that happened. Keira, Sophia, and Pip take the lead in this book. But, there is so much humour, relief to this storyline and you can't help but wonder what will happen when they step back into the past.
This book ends on such a stunning cliffhanger and I was so excited to jump into the 2nd half of this book. I can't wait to see if Keira, Pip, Ari, and Sophia's plan is going to work and what's going to happen next and I can't wait to see if Keira will find Sophia, Ari, and Pip again? Did they even make it to the past with her?
