I'm a full time home 'supervisor' which is a nice word for saying I'm a housewife. I'm married happily, I met my dream guy 20 years ago, and we have 4 children. I live in Southern California and I can't function without iced coffee. I believe in romance, I've always been a daydreamer, and I'm a HUGE fan of books, always have been.
No, I didn't know that I always wanted to write. I inhaled books as a child. I read entire series (Pippi Longstocking, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, Trixie Beldon, The Borrowers, etc) in a matter of days at a time. By the time I was nine years old I had an adult library card where I visited often. I moved on to John Saul, Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Agatha Christie, and then found romance. I was hooked. I wrote poetry in my teens and then moved on to short stories. My first book was started after I read a real bomb of a book that ticked me off with really horrible characters and a plot that was shabby at best and I thought... I could do better. LOL.
I wrote my first book which will probably never see the light of day in the early 90's. I wrote a series of a few books from it. I'm a series fan! I kept writing for fun, wrote MANY books and then in 2009 I decided to try to get published. I wrote my first Sci Fi romance and Ral's Woman came to be. I submitted it and with a little tweaking, Ellorascave sent me an acceptance letter. It was kind of a 'Cinderella' experience for me. It's been a terrific ride so far and I'm really happy that I finally had the time to commit to writing full time. It's a dream come true.

Okay...wow...
Ummmm, I'm not sure what to say here...
Except, what happened to my awesome Zorn Series?
Because this felt like a parody of it.
And not a good one.
Now, all of Dohner's books have always had a kind of tongue-in-cheek quality humor to them...but this one just felt silly to me.
Lynn's whole situation?
The way she strips down naked to cross some water? While at work?
And then uses her bra as a field dressing?
Felt super looney and contrived.
And the part where Coto's team tells Lynn that they are Leprechauns?
Uhhhhhh, yeah.
In my opinion, there is a line between silly/funny and silly/ridiculous...and this book just didn't manage to toe the wire for me.
I don't know.
Like I said, this whole thing just felt rushed and silly.
And I didn't like the set up or the way things unfolded between Lynn and Coto.
It just didn't pack the same punch as all of the previous Zorn books.
Plus, I think I just I like my Zorn stories to take place on Zorn.

3+Zorn Warrior Stars
I liked this. Mind you, you'll have to completely suspend reality to enjoy this story, but if you're able, it's pretty ok. Both MCs are very likable. Coto is adorable. Lynn is... cool. She is where suspending reality come into play. I did miss Zorn. I hope the next book, whenever that comes, takes place on Zorn. Super easy breezy not too much to it, a way to just mindlessly chill kind of read. 😊 Happy reading!

Esta historia es un relato de pocas páginas que involucra a algunos personajes que ya conocimos en entregas anteriores de esta serie. El principal atractivo es que esta vez la acción se desarrolla totalmente en la Tierra y, a pesar de los componentes de ciencia ficción, es un argumento muy, muy dulce y romántico. Lo disfruté muchísimo.

5 Coto's Captive Stars
I was waiting for Coto’s story, and I have to say this did not disappoint in the least!
I just wished it had been longer. I really liked that they had to come to Earth this time. It showed how intelligent they really are. They knew they would have to stay hidden and they did.
I have to say it was nice getting to see a female teach these Zorn men a thing or two.
I am sad I have no more to listen to maybe one day there will be more to this series.
Again Simone Lewis is a hit! I have really come to enjoy her narration.

I am reading this as part of the anthology Alien
Coto’s Captive by Laurann Dohner. First off, she's not really a captive because she goes willingly. Secondly, it was an okay story. I kept looking for the word love in there somewhere especially since she was willing to leave her planet after one sexual encounter but nope, everyone else in her life had stuff going on and she was probably going to lose her job - so why not. 3 out of 5 stars.

I was so happy to another Zorn Warriors story...hopefully, Vohn will be next :D
I found Coto to be quite refreshing actually. He wasn't all domineering and he truly admired Lynn's tracking and survival skills.
A bit different than previous books, since it takes place on Earth rather than Zorn. I'm really glad that Lynn made the right decision in the end.

It’s been a little over four years since I enjoyed one of Dohner’s super sexy Zorn Warrior books. I recently started going through old reviews of books that had been republished and this is one of the series that I revamped. In that I discovered there was a story that I hadn’t read. I purchased Coto’s Captive and read it soon after.
Lynn is an animal control officer that is simply doing her job of answering a call about some dogs that have been killed in a rather violent manner. She quickly notices that something large, vicious, and definitely predatory is on the loose in the woods. She begins tracking it and discovers what she believes to be an injured man. She can tell by the wounds that this man was attacked by the dead dogs.
The mission is simple. Find his leaders son and prevent the Collis from kidnapping any more human women to take off planet to sell. Wounded and bleeding from a dog attack Coto is now left trying to convince a human woman that he’s not different while having a man measuring contest with one of his soldiers that has started posturing for a higher position. Earth is not a place that Coto is enjoying. The woman on the other hand just happens to be the perfect souvenir that he wants to take home with him.
There’s not a whole lot to say about Coto’s Captive. It’s short and hot. A reader could probably read it as a stand-alone without being lost or confused. This installment in the series takes place on Earth. Some of the previous characters are mentioned but they do not have a role here.

An she did it again... (sorry in advance for the eventual mispellings, english's clearly not my native language)
Really, i love that author's books, i find there is a distinctive originality to her series that make them refreshing. And the men are always hot as hell, all different and even unique in their own way. This one book is no exception.
No, really, the only thing that keeps me from ranking her near the top of my favorite authors list are the heroines. It's not their personalities, because really these women can fend for themslves, they're capable, funny and some of them are even real badass.
No, it's the BLOODY BLUE EYED/BLOND HAIR/IN HER THIRTIES/5"3' TALL THING that really drives me batshit CRAZY. THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME !!! Is there something about them being CLONES in the plots that i might have missed ??? Are they all one and the same woman (just angry rambling, i know they're not) ???
I always seem to forget that fact, and with each new release it NEVER fails to spoil my fun. 60 to 0 in 10 sec flat. What's her problem really ? I think i can count on one hand the times she actually made an effort to make her heroin a red-head or a brunet (and even then, they ALL have blue eyes). A handful of times, for a total of nearly 40 books...
Really, it's such a waste.

Zorn Warriors is based on one of my favourite themes 'alien men grab earth girls to have babies'. There are hundreds of books and series based on this theme but somehow this series manages to stand out. Probably it happens because of Dohner's genius writing and her wicked sense of humour.
This is the 5th book of the series and used to be part of a collection. Now it is a stand alone with a shiny new cover trying to establish itself to the cruel world of publishing.
We have met Coto in previous books in planet Zorn. This time he has traveled to earth and love is waiting for him there :-)
I highly recommend it. It is pure entertainment, it is sexy, it is read easily and it will help you smile and have fun for a few hours.

I enjoyed this book even if it went a little bit fast, but it didn't bother me. There were also several similarities to Laurann's other books, but overall, it was a nice read that I highly recommend.

I really liked this book. It was a fast in short read that I highly enjoyed. I really don’t understand why it has so many low ratings on Goodreads because I loved it. I liked Coto and Lynn as a couple and, honestly, the only complaint I have is that their story was too short.

I love Vhon in this book, like his other appearances in previous books, he is a cool laid-back person that is fascinated with humans and their culture. I love that he has adapted his speech patterns and phrases to those of a humans, and its all down to his human sister-in-laws and human stepmother. Their influence on him is amazing and he is eating it all up and he wants to know more, and I can't help but love him.... I'll stop now or I'll continue with gushing about him.
I really like Coto and Lynn's relationship and how it is developed through the book that is quiet short but long enough to feel satisfied with where it ended.

La historia de Coto fue dulce y corta lamentablemente!
•Mi opinión puede contener Spoilers.
•Esta destinada a ser un descargo personal no para que alguien más lea pero si lo haces y te ofende, me disculpo porque sé lo que es que te guste un libro y otros lo critiquen.
Argumento:
Lynn sigue la pista de un peligroso animal herido, que resulta ser un extraterrestre grande y sexy. Y él es el chico más sexy que jamás haya conocido.
El viaje de Coto a la Tierra da un giro peligroso. Es atacado y herido. El único punto culminante es la mujer valiente que atiende sus heridas.
Coto la desea y nunca la dejará ir.

Mi humilde opinión:
Lynn es de control animal, su vida es simple hasta que la llaman para rastrear a un animal peligroso.
Solo que cuando lo rastrea no es un animal sino un hombre grande musculoso y sexy aunque gruñe como uno. Él está herido y cuando ella lo ayuda se da cuenta de que no es de este mundo.
Coto y una tripulación están cazando a Collis, una raza alienígena que
secuestraron algunas mujeres, llevándolas a Zor para
venderlas.
Hyvin Berrr, su líder, los envió para asegurarse de no vuelva a ocurrir. Pero su nave se estrella en la lucha y terminan varados.
Coto es herido cuando está buscando a Vhon, el hijo de Berrr.
Una hermosa mujer lo ayuda. Lynn es valiente, fuerte e inteligente y se siente inmediatamente atraído por ella.
Juntos se lanzan a la búsqueda de Vhon y los Collis.
Mientras pasan tiempo juntos más piensan lo dolorosa que será su despedida cuando Coto deba marcharse.
Este libro estuvo ok. Todo sucede en la tierra y los protagonistas son agradables. El romance sin embargo estuvo algo flojo, me faltó chispas. Hay un epilogo muy tierno.
En general la serie está bien, no es increíble pero es entretenida y te brinda una que otra aventura y romance caliente garantizado.

О, това беше супер сладурска кратка новела и ми е много тъжно, че е последната от поредицата за войните от Зорн. Наистина ми се искаше авторката да напише още. Примерно за Ваан. Срещнахме го в тази книга и ще е страхотен главен герой. Стискам палци.
А главните герои в тази история са Лин и Като.
Лин работи в звеното "Контрол на популацията в хълмистите райони на щатите". Извикана е от един смотаняк, тъй като нещо е убило кучетата му. Лин открива човешки следи и тръгва да търси мъжа, убил кучетата, смятайки, че вероятно е агент за борба с наркотиците, който най-после ще арестува собственика на кучета за това, че отглежда трева на земята си. Това което открива обаче е, грамаден, сексапилен, и леко странно изглеждащ мъж, който е на предела на силите си, нахапан зверски от кучетата пазачи.
Кораба на Като е нападнат от вражески кораб, и първото нещо, което правят е да изпратят Аргъс Ваан, на земята. Като принц на тяхната планета, задължение на Като и останалите войни е да го пазят. Така след сблъсъка с врага, Като и останалите войни на Зорн слизат на земята, за да търсят принца. Разделяйки се, Като попада на кучетата пазачи и бива жестоко нахапан, когато го открива Лин.
Привличането между двамата е мигновенно, но ранени в горите пълни с хищници и търсейки Ваан, двамата трябва да пренебрегнат страстта си, за да оцелеят.
Като и Лин ми бяха супер сладка двойка. Когато хората на Като се опитваха да я убедят, че са Леприкони, си умрях от смях. Та отново макар и кратка книгата съдържаше всичко, което обичам. Имаше смях, напрежение, любов, страст и малко екшън за нажежаване на обстановката. С две думи, страхотна книга.

A capable heroine who helps some alien leprechauns.
A very short read about Coto, the brother of the heart from the Hyvin family.
I loved that we get Coto's story at last. I have had a bit of a soft spot for him since we met.
A great short read with likeable H's and a nasty little drug runner that needed to be exterminated.
Not sure who was whom’s captive in this story.
I liked how versatile and competent Lynn was and able to hold her own.
The Zorn's cover story was so funny and Vhon was just hysterical with all his slang.
I would love to know what Lynn packed. I am not sure I would even know what to grab going to another planet.
Great epilogue.
First read in the Alien anthology but bought it when it came out as I enjoy rereading this short entertaining series.

I loved that we get Coto's story at last. I have had a bit of a soft spot for him since we met.
A great short read with likeable H's and a nasty little drug runner that needed to be exterminated.
Not sure who was whom’s captive in this story.
I liked how versatile and competent Lynn was and able to hold her own.
The Zorn's cover story was so funny and Vhon was just hysterical with all his slang.
I would love to know what Lynn packed. I am not sure I would even know what to grab going to another planet.
Great epilogue.
First read in the Alien anthology but bought it when it came out as I enjoy rereading this short entertaining series.

I love the planet Zorn, those wonderful alien men.
Coto has crashed on Earth trying to protect it from the awful, nasty Collis. They steal Earth women and sell them to other planets. Zorn's leader and some of his sons have bound to Earth woman and are determined to protect unwary women.
Lynn thinks she is tracking a rabid animal that took out a pack of dogs. Instead she find and Alien like she has never seen and is determined to save his life.
This was a fun, sexy read. Whenever I seen something unusual in the sky, I wonder....

Becoming his priority
Coto’s story is a quick one, but it wasn’t lacking in intensity or excitement. The author hit the ground running and led a strong woman to her HEA. There’s a little bit of in fighting, but that just adds spice to the story. The ones that matter are completely on board with the newest addition to the family. Now we just need to see the final prince get his HEA, hopefully it’s someone who needs him to be serious and rescue her. I sense a hidden depth there that I would love to see revealed.

I didn't know that a new book was released and it made me so happy!
Zorn Warriors books where one from the first series i read about aliens and humans and i really love them!
So this one it takes place on Earth rather than Zorn and Coto isn't as alpha male as the heroes in the previous books. The story begins when Lynn answers a call about dogs killed in the wood. She thinks that she is tracking a vicious and feral animal but... no it's a handsome alien!!!
