The Anatomy of Us

The stunning conclusion to THE ANATOMY OF JANE…

It's simple really.

Jane prefers to never get romantically involved with either of the two men that could be the father of her child.

Wesley wants to open another successful restaurant and forget all about the ménage à trois he had with Maxwell and Jane.

Maxwell wants the three of them back together and will do anything to make it happen…even if means getting on his knees.

See…simple, right?

Three lovers, one love story...

Amelia LeFay is a character of my own imagination. She’s a single woman in her mid twenties in love with sex. Dirty sex, rough sex, sex of any type. She’s not a whore or a slut. She believes a woman should be aloud to sexually express herself anyway she wishes.

She stands for Gay Rights, Women’s Rights, the rights of Minorities, and Environmental protection.

She can be a bitch but doesn’t think there is anything wrong with that.

She has uneven boobs, stretch marks on her ass, astigmatism, and thighs that rub together as she walks. (Which means no pair of jeans last as long as she wishes they would.)

But most importantly Amelia is a Dreamer…she has dreams so big it scares even her, because if she fails…if she can’t make it…she feels like nothing.

★★★★★! The Anatomy of Us, book 2 of 2. The shockingly addicting, heart-melting & steamy conclusion to Wes. Jane & Max!

“All I could do was hold on, biting my own lip as they fucked me. beautifully…harshly…like their dicks were trying to touch each other inside me.”

Books in WJM duet should be read in order:
Book 1: The Anatomy of Jane
Book 2: The Anatomy of Us

In The Anatomy of Jane, book 1 former bartender and maid Jane Chapman’s fell into bed with her clients news anchor, TV personality and heir to a fortune Maxwell A. Emerson III, Max. and world-renowned chef and restaurateur Wesley Uhler, Wes. The story followed them in and out of the bedroom as a hotter-than-fire ménage fuck-fest evolved into a friendship and beyond.

The Anatomy of Us, book 2 opens up to a shocker and goes on to follow Wes, Jane and Max working through difficult times sprinkled with joyous occasions. The cast of book 1 is back plus some lovable additions. It’s a journey of coming to terms with what cannot be changed, embracing the inevitable and finding your true calling.

Nine words to describe Jane Chapman: Lonely, smart, nurturing, easy-going, discreet, independent, spirited, fair and honest.

Nine words to describe Maxwell A. Emerson III, Max: Direct, imposing, enigmatic, elusive; intense, moody, in-control; ruthless and unyielding.

Nine words to describe Wesley Uhler, Wes: Commanding, assertive, observant, outspoken, nurturing, easy-going, complex, honest and conflicted.

The Anatomy of Us, told from multiple POVs is a forbidden MMF ménage romance. Story unfolds as a candid glimpse into their lives with emphasis on character development and growth without skimping in the smut department. These three set my Kindle of fire and tugged at my heart in equal measures. It ends on a high with closure, yet leaving the door open for more in the future.

Spell-binding storytelling! Supreme cast! Sizzling sex scenes! Excellent plot! 6 stars!

“Fuck now. Talk later.”

RATING 4.5 STARS

The Anatomy of Us is book two in the WJM series by Amelia LeFay. It took me awhile to get to this. I have no idea why because when I finished the first book, I was dying to continue Maxwell, Wesley and Jane’s story. I finally decided to pick it up and it was wonderful.

Amelia LeFay:

We know that at the end of the previous book, Maxwell Emerson had been in a horrible accident and was in a wheel chair. He couldn’t stand for Jane and Wesley to see him this way, to pity him. So he left. But, he wasn’t leaving them, the two people he loved most in the world. He just wanted to get his legs back and come back to them whole. The problem is, that it took three years. The Maxwell that came out of this, though, was the new and improved Maxwell Alexander Emerson. He called himself Max 2.0. And I completely agree. I loved the old Max. But this Max was just amazing. He was more open with his feelings and he was tired of living in secret. He loved Jane and Wesley and he wanted everyone to know.

Wesley Uhler was now a world famous chef. He had opened several restaurants all over the world and had been on his own reality show. The Wesley that the world saw, though, was what he wanted them to see. On the inside, he never recovered. Most of it he couldn’t even remember because he drank so much. Still, when Max showed up, just out of the blue, Wesley was not ready and willing just to let him right back into his life.

adorable little girl:

We know that Jane was pregnant at the end of the first book. Now her darling little girl is two years old and her name is Masley. This adorable little girl pretty much stole the show in this book. She had Wesley and Maxwell immediately wrapped around her little finger. Jane has spent her time trying to be a good mother and make a living for her daughter. Now all of a sudden, the two men that changed her life are back. How will this affect things? Will Masley have one Daddy or will she have two? Jane is determined that she won’t let the two men that broke her heart back in. But can she really keep them out?

“The girl you think you knew is gone.”
“I’m sure the woman she is now will make me love her even more.”

daughter and daddy cooking together:

When these three came back together, for me, it seemed like three parts coming back to make a whole. Apart they all missed something within themselves. Together, they were invincible.

“When you’re with me, Jane, when you’re with us, every day seems like the perfect day.”

There are many roadblocks along the way most definitely. But it is so apparent that these three belong together. I was appalled at the discrimination they were subject to. And there is something so wonderful I took away from this book. The sense of family. We know that Wesley grew up with a unique family, he has two mothers. Maxwell grew up without any type of family closeness or love. And Jane had no family at all. We see, though, that love makes a family, no matter who or how.

“This was my family. I felt like I kept realizing that over and over again, every second we were all together. I was sure it would hit me again, and I welcomed it because nothing feels better then knowing you are a part of some other people’s lives. You aren’t alone anymore.”

...:

This book was hotter than hot but we knew going in the steam these three generated. But there is a beautiful story here. A story of love. A story of three people who desperately wanted and deserved their happy ever afters. Do they get it? You’ll have to read the book to see.

“Now I realize the moment you look at your life and think…I must be dreaming…that’s when you’ve made it.”

The two Alpha boys meet again and when these two meet again, they feel the earth move under their feet and the sky tumbling down.
Jane feels the same way when they find her again.
And I felt the same way, when I was reading about their reunion.

I could be fuming about many things. For example:
1. I could be angry with Max because he left Wes and Jane and he did not want their support and almost broke them. But Max is a stubborn, arrogant, self-contained man. He could not let them see him with a physical fragility and incapacity. I am also sure that he thought his recovery would have taken less time.
2. I could have been angry with Jane because she took their baby away from them and never told them and she kept them away when she was creating memories with their daughter. But Jane is a stubborn, independent woman. She could not trust easily and none of them has actually, physically told her that he was in love with her (The key word here is “physically”).
3. I could have been angry with all of them, because there was not enough groveling by any of them – All of them made mistakes, especially Max. But it was okay because all of them are stubborn and too much alike. So they can understand how the others are feeling.
4. I could have been annoyed with the lack of enthusiasm by Jane in the beginning. I missed her bubbliness and her easygoing self. But Jane has suffered a lot alone and her kid almost died.
5. I could have whined because Masley is not behaving like a three years old kid. And I know this for a fact, because I have an almost four years old kid and an almost six years old kid. But maybe Masley is a well-developed kid or something. Her parents are very clever for sure.
6. I wish they were more emotionally connected before a kid appeared in the mix and they tried to become family. But a kid is always a blessing.
7. I could bitch about some syntax errors and typos. But I am the last person to talk about these things, because I can never avoid them when I write something.

I WILL NOT COMPLAIN OR CRITICIZE!

I SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ALL THE ABOVE.

This is a new book and a new phase in these people’s lives.

The “Anatomy of Jane” was fresh, bubbly, bright pink, innocent, exciting, sunny, but
the “Anatomy of Us” is mature, thoughtful, deep red, experienced, knowledgeable and rainy
And this is a good thing!

I loved so many things about this book:
1. Max is finally free. He doesn’t care who knows about them and he is affectionate with Wes in the public. He laid claim to both Wes and Jane.
2. Wes is so relieved, because Max is not ashamed of their relationship and he is not Max’s dirty little secret anymore.
3. Jane beats up the most hateful character of the series and for a good reason.
Long lasting applause by me!
4. I love their signs’ combination: Sagittarius and Aries and Libra, the air sign who brings the balance between the two fire signs. I like balanced relationships LOL
5. I love Wes.

When Max and Wes get finally together there is KABOOM and fireworks and when Max, Wes and Jane get finally together there is KABOOM – KABOOM and fireworks and beating the drum. And everything is sizzling hot.

So yeah, I think I’m good...

I am now suffering from a frustration induced headache.......

 photo lionfrustrated_zpszsa9gtuk.jpg

You know when you are super excited to read a book and you love the characters and the story?
But
You just can not get past certain things, well thats where I am at.

First I have to say I was gifted a copy of this book from a Facebook group and I am grateful. So I am unsure if the book is in its final state or not (hope not). Even so there was no excusing the ridiculous number of such noticeable mistakes, it would have taken one person to proof read it to notice most of them.

 photo dontjudgememonkey_zpsdsux5phn.gif

The reason why I am so frustrated is because I LOVE these characters. It was so good to be back in Jane, Wes and Maxs lives that I just wanted to be swept away into their world but the mistakes kept ruining it :(

I love how these three can be together as equals without one being a third wheel which so often happens in manage story.

Something happens to Jane nine months after the ending of book 1 and this makes for a very interesting reunion for the three lovers.

I was unable to give more stars because of all the errors but the story was worth more. I would still read more of this threesome if anymore is ever released.

I really tried to love this. I really wanted to see how it ended in a good way. It did, don't get me wrong. It isn't conventional, but it is in their world. I would have LOVED to see how this relationship played out in years to come, not just the present. But I'm glad I read it to say I've experienced it =))

I can not deny how utterly hot this relationship was. One of the most passionate love stories!!❤️❤️

And they all lived happily ever after!

Can a threesome live happily ever after when at least one of its’ members lives a high profile life? Maxwell Emerson is a news Anchor of “The Emerson Report”. In book 1 he got engaged to Jane to dispel rumors that he was gay. However, Wes was worried about being left behind like Max’s mother threatened. If Jane and Max were to be married and always seen as a couple in public, Wes would be left out.

So Wes took Jane to England to meet his two Mothers and show Max how it would feel to be left out. Meanwhile Max got caught up working on a story and didn’t answer his phone for days. Wes and Jane got worried and came home, but after finally noticing the missed calls, Max goes to pick them up at the airport and is injured badly in an accident. He leaves them at the beginning of this book and it takes years for him to walk again.

This book is them getting their life back after it was torn apart. Also Max finds that Wes and Jane didn’t stay together, so he tracks Wes down. Together they go to find Jane, they find that she has had a child who is ill and needs help but she doesn’t know which one is the father.

The book is just as good as the first,if not better. It deals with issues of homophobia, fear of being ostracized for loving who they choose to love and fear for their child/children. It also has a good story about getting back to where you were before. The romance is also hella hot.

I absofuckinglutely love this threesome. Max, Jane and Wesley define what a ménage really means with a heart.

After the cliffy ending in book 1, this is one of my most anticipated releases and when I finished reading it… it just amazed me to no end how beautiful it was. After being separated for three years, Max, Wesley and Jane have some awkward moments once they’ve become reacquainted again. The situation is very different now; Jane became a mom to Masley (who always steal the show, so-to-speak, because she’s cute and so adorable). Wesley became a renowned chef and Max, well, he’s living his life the way he wanted, no more hiding his true self.

Who among these two sexy men is the father of Masley? You guessed it right, it’s him.

If you think book 1 is hot, well braced yourself readers because this is much hotter… to the nth level.

I consider this as one of my unforgettable read this 2016. Amelia LeFay (JJ McAvoy) didn’t disappoint me with this series. Great writing Ms. Amelia!

The Anatomy of Us is the sequel to The Anatomy of Jane, where Jane falls into lust with Wesley and Maxwell, falls into their bed and ultimately falls into love.

TAOJ was a left with a pretty big cliffhanger – leaving us wondering what in the fuck was going to happen! Book two opens up in just as much of a WTF moment when we discover that after the accident, Max pushed hard enough to ensure his recovery was spent alone. For years as Max regains his ability to walk he kept the memory of Jane and Wes alive in his head as the goal. But now that he’s back to 10% he’s realizing that Wes and Jane didn’t quite move on in way he envision and now getting them back is going to take a lot more work.

When Max stumbles upon Wes, he’s living the dream. After a cooking reality show, he’s opening his latest restaurant in London when Max makes his move. The chemistry is still off the charts for these two men, but there is a lot of hurt that Max is going to have to push through if he’s going to get anything but Wes’s lust.

Once Max gets a lead on Jane, Wes is quick to return to Boston, but what they discover is nothing like what they imagined. When the boys reunite with Jane, they are shocked to see that Jane isn’t alone. There is a mini-jane hitched to her hip....

Now, we knew Max was stubborn and arrogant. But what we get from Max in this book is a new sort of Max. One that knows what it is like to lose everything. He knows how important both Wes and Jane are, it’s what kept him going all those years. It’s what he was fighting for and he isn’t going to give up at the first sign of resistance. But it’s not only about Max’s mistakes. Wes ran, he may have come back, but for Jane – it was too late. A lifetime of being left didn’t leave her with warm and fuzzy feelings of sticking around just waiting. But our Jane isn’t innocent in all of this. Once she ran, once she had her daughter, she has plenty of chances to connect with Wes. Maxwell proves to be the glue that held them all together, even if his actions is what tore them all apart. But stubborn Max is back and he isn’t about to let these two walk away from the greatest love they will ever know.

I did not expect the first part of this book. I remembered the shocking ending of book one, but somehow I expected a pretty fast-forward through all the hard times to get to the yummy sexy times... but nope.
What I loved about this story really came down to the way the author shifted this sexy as hell read into a very emotionally deep read. We go from this sexy romance that couples this threesome and it gets turned on its head and brought into the real world of what happens when you are out of bed and dealing with the world around you.

It wasn’t just fun and sexy games, but believe me – once those sexy times came, they exploded onto the page. We had great chemistry to begin with but add in the angst of all the hurt and everything got turned up by a gazillion degrees.

I loved the hard shit, I loved the angsty shit and I LURVED the hot as fuck sex. This was certainly worth the wait.

"I didn't want to be the same people we were back then. I wanted us to be more than that."

I had been waiting to get my hands on this book the second I finished The Anatomy of Jane. There is just something about MMF relationships that is so hot, and the taboo factor adds to it. Especially the sex scenes between Max and Wesley were phenomenal. Max, Wesley and Jane have very different personalities, but they complete each other. Like every couple they have their ups and downs and (individual) struggles to work through. All of them had their issues, and it was beautiful to see how they helped each other to resolve those issues.

In my opinion this book was a great conclusion to their story. I wish the epilogue was a bit longer and that it gave us a view a couple of years into the future (I love the 'five/ten years later' epilogues). I loved catching up with other characters and I hope that Max's cousin Irene gets her story told (even though we get to see what she has been up to in this book).

4.25 stars!

Like with the Anatomy of Jane, I don't know how to review this book.

The story is unique and beautiful. It's still a love story in my eyes and my heart. Yes, it's about three persons involved and not two as I am used to but my heart feels it like true love no matter what. Jane, Max and Wes went through a lot in order to meet again after some time. I don't want to give anything away so I won't speak for the plot which is brilliant! Ms. LeFay has written a fantastic love story that shows that the power of love can and should be stronger than anyone's opinion. I also liked that there was no drama involved in this story. There were issues but no unnecessary drama.

Jane, Max and Wes have changed and I liked them better this way. Each of them have decided to invest everything for their feelings and they started by being totally honest to each other without worrying about loosing what they got.

Their interactions were really nice! There were intimate and sexy but they always felt full of love, care and lust.

The end of the book was also nice! I am happy to say that everything worked out as I'd have liked and Ms. LeFay didn't disappoint me! I only wish that I had the chance to see more of Jane, Max and Wes in their day-to-day life, more than the epilogue (which was also brilliant!). Maybe I loved them too much and I cannot accept that I won't read about them anymore.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves to read about true love and its difficulties but without the drama.

This was book 2 in the "WJM" series. This book picks up with Max rehabbing to learn to walk again after leaving Wesley and Jane. Each one of them are going through their own pain because of it. Wesley's doing a reality cooking show and traveling around the world. Jane is taking care of a baby that neither one of the guy know about. Fast forward three years Max is ready to get his life back and the people he loves with his mother's blessing. Wesley has a new restaurant in London so Max heads there thinking Jane is with him things don't go as planned he finds out Jane and Wesley are not together. Mary tells them about their daughter being sick and they both go to the hospital turns out Wesley is her father. The three of them still have that same spark the sex scenes were hot, but at times the book felt rushed too me. I liked all the characters and was laughing when Jane beat Archibald with the poker rod. I also like how Jane handled Max's mother. I also felt bad for Irene and the way her parents treated her at her baby shower. I was glad to see her get her happy ever after. I wanted more from this book but overall this was a good book. It was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

4.5 Thing one and thing two stars

Jumping straight into the turmoil that The Anatomy of Jane left us with, sees Max, Wes and Jane in very disparate places.

But it's not long before they're flying around in each other's orbits, each of them markedly affected by their detachment.

I was excited to get back to this story, not only to march over the cliffhanger we were left with, but also not having had my fill of this delectable trio. They genuinely appear to be the first class friends I'd hang around with, if I had an iota of their charm.

I loved, loved this story, heightened by the change in direction. We get to understand a little more background, and are then rewarded with some precious new characters too. The author produced a living, breathing story for me, and something like that is never long enough.

I thoroughly enjoy this author, writing as Amelia LeFay, and as the more well known J.J. McAvoy. I'm off to stalk her FB groups for an extended epilogue.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Where to start?

I am not even sure if I should give this book 3 stars. Possibly 2.5 - tops. I really enjoyed the first one even with it ending with a cliffhanger. The first book was fun and sexy with a side of serious. This one was serious with a side of sexy and no fun. This book was so poorly edited, I thought I spent $6.00 on an ARC and not an actually published book. The other list of concerns I have aren't even worth mentioning because that would mean I care enough to waste my time writing them down.

Ever since I finished the first book in this series I've been patiently *not* waiting for this one and it didn't disappoint. I loved it just as much as I loved the first one. This series is probably the best M/F/M I've ever read and will remain one of my favourites. I definitely recommend reading this one, not just for the steamy parts but also for the touching love story between these 3 people.

4 stars!

I absolutely adored The Anatomy of Jane, and after that brutal cliffy I have been desperate for this book, and the moment it landed on my kindle I dropped everything to read it and I was not disappointed!

The first book saw Jane Chapman, a feisty woman with a difficult past, enter the lives of Maxwell Emerson and Wesley Uhler. Max is a well-respected news anchor and Wesley is a world-renowned chef – both semi-celebrities, they are in a committed, though secret, relationship. When Jane begins working as a maid for Maxwell, she sees the men together and it’s not too long before she is invited to the join them, setting the stage for hot-as-hell sex, soul-deep friendship, and life-changing love.

This book starts off starts off with a few surprises and honestly had my heart hurting as I waited to get resolution to all of the questions I was left from the end of the first book. Our beloved characters have each been through a lot and things between them are not what they once were, but this book is a journey of them finding their way back to what they had, and not only that, but making it better.

“I miss how we were before,” she whispered…
“We all do,” he replied, “so let’s stop missing it and create it again.”

Menage relationships always intrigue me. Apart from the hotter than hell sex scenes, it’s the dynamic between the trio that interests me, and Amelia LeFay has done a wonderful job in exploring that. Like the first, this book is written in the POV of each of the characters and we see their personal feelings about what their relationship is and what it means, but there are also the realistic issues of public perception, the taboo nature of their relationship, and the impact that it has on them and their loved ones. And it all felt so realistic. I could understand the character’s concerns, and I completely empathised with all that they were going through.

There’s a significant dynamic shift in this book that I absolutely loved! The changes in Jane, Wes, and particularly Max, are really well explored, and the resulting change in their relationship is beautifully written as they work through everything that is between them and readjust to all that that means, finding their way forward together .

But it’s not all deep and emotional all of the time. There’s a lot of lightness and humour, and some fantastic banter. I love Wesley’s cockiness and teasing, Max’s dry wit, and Jane’s strength and sass. Their inner monologues are wildly entertaining, and they bounce off each other beautifully.

“It’s so hard being handsome, isn’t it?” I mocked him.
But he nodded and shrugged. “Sometimes I ask God why, but then I realize someone has to show the world the perfect male specimen. Why not me?”

And of course, there is the sex. Oh holy damn this book is SO freaking hot! Hotter than the first, with a whole lot of dirty talk, even dirtier sex and some kink. The connection that is shared between these characters absolutely sizzles off the page, and it’s made even more significant by the emotional bond between them which is evident in each and every interaction. Yes, they are all insatiable and open to pretty much anything in the bedroom (and anywhere else they feel the need to get it on), but the love between them is a big part of their physical relationship and the two aspects were really well blended. But seriously… a fan or a squirty bottle of cold water may be necessary while reading.

“It might not work for everyone. But for us, we’re at our best when our clothes are off.”

I loved this book. Jane, Wes and Max’s story is a beautiful one, and I loved seeing them in this new stage of their relationship. The side characters from the first book all make an appearance, as well as some new additions, and I loved their involvement and the way they impacted on the story. There’s a bit of a dramatic plotline towards the end of the book which sort of came out of nowhere, but does provide some additional intensity and it works for the overall plot. But for me, this book was all about the love story and that was done beautifully. I loved entering Jane, Wes and Max’s world, and happily lost myself in everything that they are together.

“It’s okay to be happy. You are allowed to be happy, for you to ask for what you want, to demand what you want from your life. It’s okay for you to be there with sexy thing one and two. You deserve whatever you want, and if you want them, and they want you, that’s okay. Don’t overthink it.”

A wonderful finish to the story. 4 stars.

At the end of The Anatomy of Jane, Max Emerson got into a car accident and lost the use of his legs, left his two lovers, and went to find someone who can help him re-use his legs. Wesley Uhler had read Max's last goodbye note, looked at Jane Chapman, and said "adios." And, OMG, Jane was left alone, pregnant. *Gasp*

You can imagine why I just HAD TO HAVE book 2 of this duet series. When I got my hands on it via The Anatomy of Us FB page, IT. WAS. EVERYTHING. So, I read it. And I was....

Sure, there were LOTS of steamy, hot, uncomfortable sexy scenes. But - that was it. At the start of part 2 of WJM's story, Max got his rehab from a gay former military man. (I thought there was gonna be somethin-somethin there, but nuh-uh, zero, zilch.) After 3.5 years of prolonged self emotional-infliction, Max finally got his feet back under him, went to find Wesley, then joined the mile-high club with him on their way back to find Jane. That happened in about 0.5 seconds... or 1 week, give or take a few hours.

Once they're back in Boston, they find Jane in a hospital, worried sick over her daughter, Masley, who has blood poisoning. The kid's doctor thought it prudent to have her biological father's blood on hand during surgery, since Jane's blood doesn't match her daughter's. Ta-dah! Both of her former threesome lovers walked in. Then they proceeded to see Masley back to peak health, took a staycation in Max's Hamptons mansion, had TONS AND TONS of sex, and...

Sorry. I bored myself silly re-telling parts of the story.

This was okay. Nothing surprising this time around. The author, Amelia LeFay, noted on her FB page that she "lost" herself somewhat during this book's writing (her mojo, perhaps?). And, I can clearly tell. It was, like, she just wanted to shut the nagging readers up from the constant follow-ups on when book 2 in the WJM duet series will be out. So, she released the book for free, complete with all her grammatical errors, and called it a day. Frankly, I expected too much, particularly because I really liked "The Anatomy of Jane."

I loved this story and it could have had a much higher rating if the author had taken time to check out blatant spelling and grammar errors.

I was surprised to love this as much as I did as I do have a love/dislike relationship with the writing style of J J McAvoy but have to say writing as Amelia LeFay - it worked it really did.

I hope we get more from the pen of Amelia. Especially in this style.
