Scarred and disillusioned by his ex-wife’s betrayal, gorgeous and powerful billionaire Luca Valencia has become even more ruthless in the corporate arena and unapologetically heartless when discarding women who mistakenly think they're the ones to change him.
But for his young daughter, he’s willing to risk marriage for the second time.
However, it would be on his terms, and he decides to take a leaf out of his friend Rafe’s book by hiring a woman carefully screened for his needs.
That woman is Vivian Day, whose innocence makes her a trustworthy companion for his daughter…and whose desperate circumstances would make her unable to afford saying no to his proposition.

I really enjoyed this book and I loved to see Rafe in this book. When I thought read that this was from Melody Anne's Billionaire Universe I thought it was going to be about the Andersons their cousins from the Billionaire Bachelors series or even the Titan brothers from the Baby for the Billionaires series I didn't realize it it would be Rafe from the Surrender series. I didn't even think they were in the same universe, but I guess it's possible.

I did enjoy seeing glimpses of Rafe and his wife in this story. I also enjoyed this story as Luca and Vivi's story. Apparently Luca also had a cheating ex-wife, but thank goodness it didn't take him 4 books to figure out he loved her like it did Rafe. As usual, Marian Tee's books made me tear up a little bit. I love how she can tell a story with just the right angst and drama and yet not be over the top about it. Bravo!

What a great read. A man who was bitter about love finds a woman who wins him over. I loved it and of course it helped to see Rafe again!

So I’ve read this before under the name “The Italian Billionaire’s Hired Wife”. I guess she has also published it under “I Didn’t Know He Was My Boss”. Thats kinda annoying.

Devoured is like a Cinderella love story with its billionaire-falls-for-a-poor-girl but definitely funnier, sweeter with a whole lot more sexiness, and a fill of heartache that is Marian Tee’s modern taste you read in her books.

Italian billionaire Gianluca Valencia has learned his lesson that all women change from good to bad after his childhood lover turned wife turned ex-wife dumped him for another man when Luca’s finances went out of hand. Like a blessing in disguise, she gifted him a very beautiful daughter named Eula whom he loves dearly. But Eula is growing up and she’s seeking a mother’s presence and love. Luca’s got one for the job—Vivian Day—but she should know Luca doesn’t do love anymore. And it should stay that way even when the chemistry between them is oozing whenever they’re near each other.

The book started really good for me. Billionaire who worked his way up because some girl chose to broke his heart and fuck with him and a girl who worked her ass off double-time because she had loans to pay. Said billionaire needed a wife but only because of his daughter. The love and feelings department he didn’t care at all. And that gave Luca the upperhand over Vivian.

Let me be clear that Luca wasn’t really a d-bag. In fact, I loved him because of his love for his daughter. But add in the billionaire, I-take-no-shit-from-anyone, I-get-whatever-I-want, I’m-great-in-bed-really personality and he might even be one of my favorite Marian Tee heroes next to YURI. Because to be honest, he could be sweet and funny. So he’s pretty decent. Vivi, on the other hand, had no choice because Luca made an offer she couldn’t resist. I mean, the first time she and Eula met, they clicked. Right away. And though Vivi seemed to be naive, she knew how to read Luca and she’s sensitive to people around her. She had this warm personality that I instantly loved. And her being a mom to Eula, maaan she’s good!

While Devoured was OMG so freaking hot and nice, Marian won’t be Marian without the pain she inflicts her readers with. This one was not an exception. I’m just very grateful that it didn’t involve cheating or I’d really have to end Marian’s life like it’s my life mission. Doesn’t mean though that it wasn’t heartbreaking. Because it was. And once again, if it were up to me, I’d have Luca grovel in a rough surface full of small rocks that’s sure to destroy his skin and then when he came near Vivi to apologize for his sorry ass, I’d put salt over his open wound and laugh. Out. Loud. Well, that’s my mean self because the heartache was really miserable and terrible. I wish Marian prolonged his suffering more. Haha! Props to Vivi for making his life a bit of hell during that time because of her icy calmness.

Just like in every Marian Tee book that I read and reviewed, I underwent a series of different emotions that made me have a love-hate relationship with her. And even when she made me hate the world because of that devastating scenes, Devoured was still very enjoyable to read. I just wished she included more Vivi and Luca moments before they get married. Like you know, perhaps they dated first, get-to-know-me-and-you stage. But she made up on that cheesy and way too sizzling ending that’s sure to keep us all satisfied. SOOO GOOOOD!

Overall, if you want a quick, hot and a good book to pick up, this is for you. Just a warning though: when you read a Marian Tee book, you won’t. Leave. Unscathed! That’s for sure! So prepare your guns, aim at her and do. Not. Miss. Haha! As for Marian’s fans, this is a must-read!

*received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This had a lot of sexy times, angst and hopeful moments of just wishing they'd have a HEA so I wouldn't have my heart broken while reading this. Of course it's Marian Tee, and this author rarely gives us the well-endowed fairy tale endings without it being earned. The couple's relationship was already established when you first get into the book, and it took a few bit of pages for me to settle into their attraction that goes beyond their physical appreciations. When he propositions her, Vivi and Luca both have an understanding, but of course, love begins to bloom regardless of what was planned.

I loved their cute and sexy moments, but I wish I'd seen a bit more of Luca's falling for her the way I got to see Vivi's. Then again, it worked out, because I was just as shocked at the near ending as he was when things happened. I'm so glad this didn't end on a cliffhanger. It was a fast-paced read that managed to make me cry at least half the time, and I loved the things Luca did for his little girl. Those details were really sweet.

The idea of him hiring a wife for his four-year-old daughter was cute. The story flowed really well with the author's great writing, and I'm overall satisfied. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the billionaire stories in Anne Melody's Kindle Universe.

I love Marian Tee. Her books are awesome, they make you laugh, fall in love, and cry. When you read her books, have tissues close. You may only need one, or the whole damn box. I've read over 40 of Marian's books and I loved them all. Devoured is no different. Luca is a billionaire with an ex-wife from hell. His four year old daughter needed a loving mother. Luca thought he could "hire" a wife, thus giving his daughter a loving mother. Luca fought his love for Vivian. When she left him, Luca realized he couldn't fight his love for Vivian any longer. I really like Luca's mother's name....it's beautiful :)

*Sigh*

Marian Tee has a way of making you the reader, apart of the emotional journey her characters take.
You don't know how or when but you get to a point in this story specifically where your so emotionally invested, and think to yourself, how in the world did that happen.

Luca & Vivian's story is one that you devour as are most of her reads. Her writing style is subtle but creates a vivid portrait on her canvas with mere words.

If your looking for an easy read but one that takes you on a journey of emotions at the same time...definitely give Luca's and Vivian's story a go.

Another great read!!

I loved everything about this book!! I cried sad and happy tears and could not put it down! It would be amazing to read more about Luca and Vivian.

A great read that gives you a glimpse of Ari and Rafe again while introducing Luca and what he went through to become who he is when he meets Vivian. Though there was many uphill challenges I was so happy with the outcome. Luca can be a jerk during some parts because of his fear but he made up for it in the end!
This is a must read that I promise you will love and want more!!

I love Marian tee romances, this one is great! The H is rich and has been hurt and does not want to love again but he wants a mother for his little princess. In comes the h and she has to be poor and love his princess, the h is sweet and loving, so they marry and the story goes on with angst and then very much love. I love her story's. Can't wait for her new ones. Would recommend this book to all romance readers..

Story about fucked up, control freak hero and pathetic desperate, stupid heroine who have daddy’s issues
Both are comparing each other the heroine with ex gold digger wife and the hero with heroine’s asshole dad
What really piss me off is that hero is thinking of the heroine as asset or business investment ( what he really said)
There is no love but gross I really regret wasting time on reading this shit

I just love this author writing, she is one of the most talented authors I have come across; however, I found this particular book missing certain pieces of the plot. This is the story of Gianluca Valencia and Vivian Day fake relationship by deception on the hero side. I just didn't feel the connection between Luca and Vivian to invest into their relationship due to the way Luca dragged on and on with his secret plans to win her over. Luca was in a state of disrepair after his downfall, divorce and decided to buy a wife to assist with his daughter care but after he convince her to partake in his trick, he divorce her. There is no history regarding the event(s) transpiring between the two, just bamm! A quick read with spotted plot holes.

Cute Story

Luca married the first time for love and his ex-wife cheated, took drugs and left him for another. He vowed the second time he married would be a business transaction. Wife for hire to service him and take care of his daughter Eula. He met Vivian while incognito and nothing was the same since. Cute read.

Deceived or Deception

Deceived or Deception two words pretty much meaning the same and either one would have been a better title. The hero started out with a plan taking advantage of his clueless prey. Good thing she didn't see it coming and she liked his kid. I think both hero and heroine are saps. It was a good read.
