I get exactly what I'm looking for in Lydia Rose Romances. They are light with a love conquers all! There are no major twists and she is good a character development.
In this one I liked the Boss & Employ secret romance but the extra layer was That Diane has a little girl who adores her secretary Michelle. Michelle helps Diane understand she needs to put her daughter before work and during there visits Michelle and Diane develop a unlikely attraction.
Another beautifully written romantic love story. You see Lydia’s name in the title and you know your not going to be disappointed, her stories are like the cup of hot chocolate on a cold winters night!warm, welcoming and makes you go AHHH!
Another book where I just fell in love with the characters. Laughed out loud at times, got frustrated with them at other times so it certainly kept my attention.
This story is full of wonderful moments. Diane is a fantastic character. Her struggles early on to figure out how to open herself up to her daughter and prevent her from growing up without a loving home were heartbreaking. The way the love developed between Diane and Michelle, with Anna frequently as the catalyst and unintentional wing girl with her innocent comments about her mother's growing affection for her new favorite playmate, was precious and fresh. I'm not sure that I have read a story like that before.
Only a couple of things detract from the story for me. Michelle's character is a bit undeveloped. We don't really get any clues into her past and why she seems inconsistent about various things. (Like wanting to take things slowly then... not.) The other is a bit too much of an emphasis on older, very aggressive, and ... non commitment seeking women. Perhaps it is to show the difference between younger lesbians who grew up in a more accepting environment and the older, don't ask, don't tell generation. But it seemed like too many of them.
I always enjoy Ms. Rose's book and can't wait for her next novel. The characters were enjoyable and loving. Their relationship developed accordingly in a well spaced manner. Good novel. Very well done!
Not wanting to spoil anything, but there is no way that wouldn't have been repercussions for a CEO dating her assistant, even a wholly owned company, especially if they are incorporated.
There were a few simple mistakes that a good editor would have easily caught, but they didn't detract much from my enjoyment of the story. It was a quick read and a fairly predictable romance plot, but I thought it was funny at times and entertaining. Not bad for a cheap read.
I dislike when journalists did to ceo and a girl she used but not good personality she have but Michelle is lovely person which show she is good woman and I am glad Diane realize and learn something
I thought this was a beautiful story about the journey two individuals on different paths meeting and falling in love. Beautiful and wonderfully written. I love the stories written by Lydia Rose. I can always feel the emotions as I read the stories.
