Same ole story.
I liked the story, but it's like I've read it so many times before. Can't be mates because of his past or her past. In the end it all works out and we get our HEA.

What happens?
Cole is looking after Natasha Silk after her life is threatened and it is clear its a serious threat.
During their meeting he realises Natasha isn't going to be a normal client and is his mate with him unable to tell her and his feelings making it hard to protect her she has become a big pain in his ass.
Final thoughts
This was a good read. I enjoyed the mystery behind who did it even though I suspected. I even enjoyed their chemistry and her attitude was funny even if it was a mask.
It is a repeat of a story you read a lot but hey its a romance!!

Cole Colston works security, but he's known to be easy going and charming.. Usually he leads his black ops team Into missions no one else want. Since he & his team are wolf shifters & they're very good at their job. When he gets the opportunity for an "easy" job "babysitting" a supermodel as her bodyguard he figures, "why not?" When he meets his charge, Natasha Silk, he realizes his life is about to change. But her stalker is going to make life tough and his job harder than anyone expected. This story Is fast paced, well plotted and in constant upheaval for everyone involved. Cole & Natasha both struggle with secrets of their past. The constant battle between our two heroes while they also try to catch Tasha's stalker before he manages to kill her is fascinating. Cole is willing to risk life & limb to protect Tasha, but can he overcome his fears to be with her? That's the real dilemma. Great, fast read.

Good Series, Read Straight Though... Over 18+
Enjoyed this a lot, these wolves are really fun. Cole and Natasha's story is fun and these guys are protective and will all do what they need to do to keep Tasha safe. But can they protect her from herself each time she feels rejected seems to make bad choices. Her secrets but her in danger, Cole's secrets and believes make him shut himself off (bad if you just found your true mate) so they drive everyone a little crazy. Of course something has to give so add her sister to the mix and suddenly things start to make sense. Can't wait for the next one, I think these two girls can lead the guys on a merry chase.

Why Must We Title a Review?
It needed an editor. She was wearing glasses then put in her contacts but suddenly she's pushing her glasses up. She wasn't wearing panties but he took them off of her. Gah. Simple mistakes but it's enough to throw you off a story. The main female was all over the place and didn't seem believable. The main male wasn't much better. It was enough to leave you scratching your head.

Decent for first person perspective
Not a super original plot line, but smooth running with good pace. Characters could have been built up a bit more. Natasha's origin wasn't touched other than to drop a couple bombs before casually moving on.
One of the best first person perspective books I've read in this genre.

Fanyastic
The way this book is written is as good as the actual story. Its a fantastic action story combined with a lot of drams then spiced up with just enough love and sex to make it extremely enjoyable. I loved it and the authors writing style.

Great story
I love this book. It's the first shifter romance I've read that the guy hasn't just accepted his mate. I like that the shifter is the one that has the issues to work through instead of the woman.

Good read
I got sucked in with the first page. Cole and Tasha"s story was a fun twist on the protection detail genre. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the team get their HEA. I've always enjoyed true mate stories and this is a good one. Now to find Ms. Arran's other works.

I loved how the book went from Cole and the rest of the team on assignment, guarding someone, to it being Cole's mate. Cole is so hung up about what his brother did, he almost loses his mate.

Hot and cold
Even the characters complained about each other shifting hot and cold at lightning speed. It actually made me not like the first half of this book. Thankfully they characters finally got their acts together and worked things out.

I enjoyed the story,however I missed the happy-go-lucky Cole of the pack a little. He turned into a jerk. He had his reasons and all but darn it I was missing the old Cole. Good read!

Great read
Great shifter read with a twist you won’t expect! It ends with a happily ever after, but with enough intrigue about the other characters to move on with the next story.

Once again I have found a good book in this story. I found it hard to put it down until the end.

I had a tough time getting through this one. The constant back and forth between the characters was exhausting. Just spit it out already! Sheesh. I would have liked to see Natasha and Cole together as couple more instead of the butt-hurt and bickering acquaintances they were for 99% of the book. Could have been better, could have been worse.
