Sarah is the USA Today and International Bestselling Author of over forty contemporary and epic fantasy stories, and the creator of the Kingdom of the White Sea and Saga of Crimson & Clover universes.
Born a geek, Sarah spends her time crafting rich and multilayered worlds, obsessing over history, playing her retribution paladin (and sometimes destruction warlock), and settling provocative Tolkien debates, such as why the Great Eagles are not Gandalf's personal taxi service. Passionate about travel, she's been to over twenty countries collecting sparks of inspiration, and is always planning her next adventure.
Sarah and her husband live in a beautiful corner of SE Pennsylvania with their three tiny benevolent pug dictators.
Enjoyable series. Certainly not as deep as an Anne Rice story, but fun none-the-less. One bone to pick was if the main character had to be of russian descent, was it was a little inappropriate at one point earlier in the story to frame Ukrainians as the type of people who would capture and keep sex slaves. But happy to see it was probably just a poorly educated choice of words, based on the rest of the reading and not real prejudice.
First two books were ok. A bit over the top. Some characters were a stretch to believe. Endings for both were clearly designed to push you to read the next book. But book three introduced an Amazon looking woman with silver hair that was an alien roaming earth for centuries. Her quest was so ridiculous I stopped reading the series. Overall a waste of time.
This book set is advertised as a New Orleans witch family saga, but it is only periferally about witches or fantasy. It should be sold as a teen romance novel. If you are looking for a good fantasy read, skip this one.
The Storm and the Darkness: The storm and the darkness by Sarah Cradit is another book that has captured my interest... It has kept me interested from the very first book that I have read from Sarah... This book follows Ana Deschanel. We get in-depth information on the mistake that Ana has made. but honestly what can I say about this book that others have not said before except for wow I want so much more.. Shattered: Shattered by Sarah M. Cradit is an amazingly written book. The story follows Ana and the things that have happened to her. After reading this book I felt that I could better understand how Ana and Finn met and what exactly happened between Ana and Jon. This story was so heart wrenching because there is something somewhere in this book that just about anyone can relate to. I know for me I was able to relate to Ana on many different levels. I would suggest that anyone check this book out because its a great short read that dives into Ana's life and gives you a look at all that she has been through.
Shame: This is the story of Jonathan St. Andrews, and I have to admit that after reading it I can see why Jon is the way he is.... We get to dive into his story and see all that he went through and how he was treated by everyone around him and what transpired when it came to the one female that he loved dearly. What happens when one becomes tired of being a doormat for others? Will Jon take the steps needed to become what he truly wants to become? Or is he destined to be what has always been laid out for him? Is he destined to become the person his father wants him to be or will he be shown what the world has to offer him? To find out what Jon's story is then by all means check out this amazing story!!!!!!!
The Storm and the Darkness is a chilling glimpse into Ana and Finn's past. It also shows us what led to Nicolas being the angry, detached man he is when we meet him in Illusions of Eventide. Great addition to the series. Shattered is the haunting story of Jon and Ana. Why does she hate him so bad? And will he cost her the only man she has ever loved? Shame by Sarah M. Cradit is the story of Jonathan St. Andrews. I have never been a fan of Jon, thinking of him as cruel and hateful. I knew there was obviously a reason for his darkness, but never suspected the extent of his internal torture. Changed by love, destroyed by loss, will Jon ever be whole again?
Too dark a story for me. The paranormal part of the story is mostly incidental. There is one paranormal gift used, but the entire story could have been written without it. I read the whole first book hoping it would get better, but it never did. I am not going to read any more of the books in the series.
I loved this book so much. I am glad that I followed the reading order because I now have a better understanding of A House of Crimson & Clover and I am unto the next book in this series. Thank you so much Ms. S Cradit for your work. Way to go
There were bits and pieces that i enjoyed, but overall the story didn't work for me. Definitely not reading any more sequels. I don't even care enough to find out about Alexandr
Very well written with excellent character development
I thoroughly enjoyed Sarah's work. She takes her readers on an amazing adventure . The only negative I have is the mistakes in the text. This of course is an editorial issue and should not reflect on the author.
Started as a dark romance novel and turned into a suspenseful fantasy. Glad I trudged on and read all 4 books. Possibly interested in reading more but I’ll have to think on it.
