Table 9: A Ghost Story

Rate this book
Sometimes, revenge skips a generation.

Lisa never expected her new job to be easy. On her first night at a five-star restaurant, she quickly finds herself facing angry customers and disgruntled co-workers. But something else lurks in the shadows, over in the corner by the window, at a table where no-one has sat for more than two decades.

As the night progresses, Lisa starts to notice a strange atmosphere around table nine. She feels as if someone is constantly watching her, and later a little girl from another table claims to have seen a woman in the corner. At first Lisa is able to put these coincidences out of her mind, but then a terrible accident causes the restaurant to close early.

Finally, let all alone in the darkened building, Lisa finds herself coming face to face with the unseen figure that has sat waiting for so many years at table nine. But what does it want, and can Lisa discover the truth before another tragedy strikes the restaurant?

Table 9 is a short story about love, revenge and the power of hatred to endure beyond death.

A short but not sweet cleverly done revenge story.

The usual creepy and fast-paced horror from this author. I don't give spoilers so can't say much.

Enjoyable.

Just like real waitressing plus a ghost!

I liked this story, it reminded me of real waitressing. I always tip well because I remember how crazy & chaotic it always was-waiters & waitresses are all definitely underpaid and overworked. I had a feeling I knew who Lisa was but I wasn't sure how it connected. How creepy and fun all of Amy's stories are, I always love them! Fun & quick read! Definitely check out her longer ones, too.

Gripping

The book was a fast read. I would have liked a little more to it setting a backdrop of how happy the couple was prior to breakup.

Table 9

A great short story, I'd love a full novel by this author. Great editing, realistic in every paranormal way. I'm ready for more by this author.

Way too short! Karma is a scorned woman, seeking revenge which was definitely served cold!
