In Telluride Blood", the vampire David Parker is back and he's sexier than ever. Maybe it's the setting - Colorado's Rocky Mountains and the charming town of Telluride, or the combination of gritty Sheriff Sol Byrne matching wits with Parker that has me hooked. Or is it Dr. Scarlett Geary, attractive, conflicted and the object of both men's romantic aspiration? It's all of the above - the well-developed characters, exquisitely described settings and true- to-life dialogue that combine to bring this tale to life. It's a satisfying literary meal with the promise of a sequel as dessert.

It hooked me from the beginning, I really like it specially the conversations between the characters, it was like the screenplay of a well written movie. The dialogue keep you interested in the main characters as they unfold their own story thru it, also it is the perfect match between a crime book and a vampires book with some interesting twists in between, the characters are oh so well developed that I feel identified and attached to them by the end of the book. I do recommend this book to anyone who is interested in vampires. I'm looking forward to read the next book in this series.

I have been waiting decades to see David Parker return. I enjoyed the book as it stayed true to the series. However, I will forever be waiting for resolutions and books using earlier characters like Tatiana and Mozart and Nicoletta

It's been ages since I've read a book by this author. This one had a different feel. Two unexplained bloodless women were found in the wealthy town of Telluride, CO known for it's wealthy inhabitants and tourists. The mayor wants the case solved quickly. The police chief spends more time than the mayor wants. By police procedural, one person is associated with both women. The truth is that there are two vampires in the area and they are in the midst of a territory war.

A great vampire short story. Not another teen vampire story, which is a GOOD thing. It left me wanting more of it though so I hope there is more to come in the future!
