Aaron, a tactical paramedic, knew Mandy was his mate when he first met her. Although she is shy, she had a kind heart and Aaron knew she was the one woman he wanted forever. Over time their relationship grew until they were both ready to commit to a lifelong mating ceremony.
When Mandy goes missing, Aaron fears the worst, since a rogue shifter tampered with her memory. Even if they find her, she may not remember him, or how much they loved each other.
However, there is more to worry about than Mandy’s memory. Brainwashed humans are attacking shifters and humans alike. Not only are the residents and visitors to their shifter community in the Colorado mountains in danger, but if the violence attracts national attention, their secret could be exposed, endangering them all.
I have loved everything that Sara Anderson writes! From the first moment that I met her she’s been one of my “one click” authors and this book is just another reason why I’m so thankful to have her in my realm. The characters are rich, the emotion feels so real and not contrived and it makes me all sorts of happy to have been able to read this series.
It's hard to believe that this is the fourth book in the Wild Mountain Shifters series already! The Missing continues the saga of the shifter community of Pleasant Cove.
Mandy has been taken captive by a rogue shifter named Caleb, and when his painful experiments didn't quite work on her, he painfully ripped the memories from her. Mandy is a human, but she's grown up amongst the shifters her entire life.
Her soon to be mate is a black leopard shifter and a paramedic. Aaron has been frantic with Mandy being captive and with everything going on he's worried for her life. Strange things are afoot in Pleasant Cove, and Michael and the others in the shifter community need to get it under control before humans start sniffing around.
This was a wonderful book! Totally mesmerizing as Sara draws us into the world of her shifter community. I absolutely love this series, and Sara Anderson is a master storyteller, whether it's shifters or aliens.
With her memory in tatters, Mandy struggles to regain her identity. As she works through her fears, it is obvious self-confidence is something she desperately needs. The constant reassurance she seeks makes her seem childish. And with the very adult relationship between her and Aaron this characteristic feels unnatural. I love this series! Sara writes such rich, loving characters. I get lost in each one of these stories. Poor Mandy, her life sure has had some horrible things, but Aaron is always right there to protect and pick up the pieces. I can't wait to see where this series goes from here
I cannot believe how we are into the fourth book in this fantastic series this one just is the icing on the cake we have it all romance intrigue kidnapping and heart breaking fear it is a brilliant series that just keeps getting better and better.
