This is all Sadie’s fault. She dragged me out to a seedy little bar for a girl’s night out. That’s where I met this cocky, arrogant, savage of a man—Colton Nash. He’s everything I despise.
Now I’m having his baby.
I’m a neurosurgeon. I can’t stand sports. I can’t stand violence.
Colton is a boxing legend. He could be the next heavyweight champion of the world. His panty melting face is everywhere—TV, billboards, magazines. He’s rich, famous, and women everywhere throw themselves at him. I had no idea who he was—until it was too late.
Now I’m caught up in the hurricane that is Colton Nash. And the Mafia is trying to fix the title fight. Both our lives are in danger. My brain says run, but my body demands otherwise—I need this man like I need oxygen.
What have I gotten myself into?

This is my first book by Megyn Riley and I can honestly say that this book will not be my last. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I found this book very hard to put down and one that I know I will be able to read again and again.
DNF at 19%. If you are going to toss around medical words, at least make sure you know what they mean. Guy gets stabbed, girl says "might hit organs or peritoneal cavity" so takes him to ER (good thinking) gets an ultrasound to exclude penetration to peritoneal cavity. Uh, no, ultrasound can't show you that. If it is a flesh wound only, to scan needed, if it is deep it will need exploratory surgery, duh. Is she a neurologist or a neurosurgeon, make up your mind. No clinician tells a patient " I see no need to drill holes in your head" . CT won't show cerebral petechiae, and what kind of consulting room has space for a CT scan, along with a friendly radiologist in tow to run it for you?? Hmmm. It cheeses me off when authors make no effort to write realistic medical scenes (in case you hadn't guessed). Finally, since I have my own MB BS (honours), FRANZCOG, DDU, CMFM qualifications, I know exactly what I am talking about.
I did enjoy the story. There was definitely a good description throughout the sport pieces that makes you feel the tension. I was able to get into this story very easily, however the ending left me feeling loss. Yes there is a HEA but it feels like the book needs an epilogue to bring the story home. If the ending had made me feel complete, I would definitely give this book 5 stars.
Keep in mind this is a personal opinion. The book is well written, the main characters very likeable and the villain is definitely easy to hate. All in all, a good story.
I have read all day and have enjoyed the two books so much. Now I need to find some more of her books. I haven't read books by Megyn Riley before, but I will find more and start them.. She is a great author and her editing for the books is great. I don't do spoilers, but I will tell you to buy these stories as they are so good.
2 stars for 2 stupid books in one. If you read both you will find almost identical sentences. In the first book his fingers are delicate, but his fists are like cement blocks. HOW. In the second book I'm sorry no FBI agent or former CIA operative first are married and is now the head Mob Boss.
While I did enjoy reading this it was simply mostly sex. Sure the sex between the two of them was great but I didn't see how it evolved emotionally past that. How did they realistically connect outside of the bedroom? Also the ending was a bit too abrupt
I really enjoyed reading your books and can't wait to read more. I loved pounded and Whitman desire and will recommend your books to people I know. Thank you for the hea love stories.it's nice to no that love is real
There are two books in one. They sort of go together but don't. A agent is mentioned in book one that will star in book 2 but that's about it. I really liked book one. It had humor and romance. These two were great together. In book 2 it was just o.k. for me.
Not sure why the mediocre rating but I really loved this book. I love fighter stories and this one had a mob twist and a smart heroine. The writing flowed very well also (which ive been reading a lot lately that have not). Can't wait to see more by this author
This was a good book to read. I liked the characters and their story line. I liked that he loved her. I liked this part when he thinks: I don’t deserve a woman like this, but I’m going to cherish her forever.
Good read until the end, it just ended...what happens next for Colton and Abigail? I hate endings that dont at least wrap it up and tell me a little more than what this one did.
