My Soldier

Rate this book
He was going to fight to keep me safe, now he's fighting for two.

When Levi Hite came crashing into my world, I tried so hard to keep him away.
He was bold, strong, filthy in bed... And a soldier.
Everything I needed, and everything I feared all wrapped up in one man.
I couldn't go through that again, I had already been scarred to the point of feeling unfixable.
But he wouldn't take no for an answer.
And when he found out about the dead man's burden I was carrying, he promised to keep me safe.
Levi became irresistible, a hard bodied drug I couldn't get enough of.
Now I'm pregnant, and I don't know if I'll get the chance to tell him he's a father.
There was no way he could have known his promise would cause him to risk it all.
I needed to make things right. All's fair in love and war... Isn't it?
It wasn't supposed to turn into anything serious, I wasn't supposed to let myself fall for this man.
But what would happen if I couldn't stop it?
Fate was something I never believed in, now it's something I can't ignore.

*Author's Note* This full-length, standalone novel is a true romance, packed with hot and heavy scenes. Who wouldn't want a hard bodied soldier to call their own? My Soldier has a guaranteed HEA, and contains content that is not intended for readers under the age of eighteen.

I almost DNFd this one. In fact I skipped a chunk after the spot where she claims she can feel her orgasm coming at the base of her skull. I'd had enough at that point. Enough words used incorrectly or awkwardly. It was almost like reading something written with a thesaurus at hand, especially in the first sex scene. It's unfortunate because the concept of the book was excellent. The characters could have used a little work, except for Sara and her miracle daughter who are absolutely perfect.

Emotional read.

What an emotional book. This was a book about fate, loss, trials, revelations, sacrifice, and death. Very well written with plenty of descriptive details. Enjoyed the alpha males roll in the book. And walked the journey of letting go with the leading lady. Would recommend this to all my military lovers out there and readers who love a good love story. Happy reading.

Gifted an ARC for an honest review...
This was a fast paced, heart wrenching read. Just when you thought things were going one way, Leah threw in a curve and sent the book in another. Avni and Levi were well developed, compelling characters who you really could relate to. I enjoy most of Leah books and this is another well thought out book. Thanks!!

I enjoyed the story of Avni and Levi. There is a good amount of angst, action, and love in this book. I did have a little trouble relating to Avni, her inner dialogue and reactions to situations were a little too much at times. Levi's character, at first, was just okay but as the story progresses he develops into great book boyfriend material. Their love story takes you on a journey that will surprise you, there are twists and turns, before reaching a HEA. Overall, this is a good read and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Okay.

An okay story to read. I found the characters hard to like at first. There are a lot of ups and downs, however, I never felt moved by the emotion expressed.

My soldier is military love story of course. The story was well written with well develop characters. I was hard to decide did I loved book or not because it had so many ups and downs for me. It started great funny and likable. When I discovered Avni and her character I thought about to finish the book and toss it away. But I manage to forced myself and continued my reading which had interesting developed in the few sex scenes that were interesting and ok written. Unfortunately there is still too much of Avni’s inner dialogue which had not changed and had went on and on about the same dame things. Especially I didn’t like how she didn’t tell Levi that she was in hospital. Levi on other hand was for me very likable sexy and I loved how was he prepared to fight for Avni. The closure was interesting with sweet end.
So the story was interesting unpredictable with a bit of suspense and action.

When Avni meets Levi she felt something. Something she doesn't want to feel. She can't fall in love, especially not in a soldier. She won't feel the loss agin. But Levi is to hard to resist.

Levi is a soldier and there isn't room for feelings in his heart. But Avni is different he strongly feels that he has to protect her and keep her safe and she is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. Can he convince Avni to follow her heart and stop fearing the past.

It is a amazing love story Levi is a fantastic guy and so is Avni they are so right for each other. It is a well written story with a lot of action. It is funny, sad and serious and I couldn't put it away. I love this writer and I am looking forward to reading a lot more ind the feature

This story is simply beautiful. Beautifully written and with such compelling characters that left such an imprint on my soul, especially Levi. It is an amazing love story between two people not wanting to let their feeling rule their hearts. I was just a little disappointed with Avni resistance at some point of being loved and to love again.

This is really an emotional roller coaster ride, which I really enjoyed. It had me crying, smiling, frustrated, happy, and much more.

I was provided with an ARC for my honest opinion.

Awesome

Loved Levi and Anvi. Vito got what he deserved. Fate is a powerful thing, Levi knew that Anvi was his and his job was to love and protect her. I will not be a spoiler, awesome book started off a little slow but picked up,if you have not read this you may want to give it a chance.

When Levi met Anvi, she was broken and alone. Struggling from a painful past. Can she get past her fears and find love? What if when she realizes, it might be too late? I enjoyed this story of handling sadness and loss and mostly finding love.

Enjoyed this story, thank you Leah Holt!

Soldiers life is hard on families and relationships. This one starts at the end of hero's service. But, in real life sometimes not so easy. I'm glad love wins.

Aw so good!

It was so great without any triteness. Just the right amount of steaminess and suspense and bad attitude to keep it real

This was just ok for me. Not bad, but not great. It reminded me of the movie, "The Lucky One". Just not as good. The overall storyline was good, I just didn't connect with the characters as much as I needed to. It felt a little generic. I would only recommend reading this of you could get it on sell.
